Invicta Men's Automatic Leather Watches 44mm Various Colours $135 Each + Delivery ($0 with $230 Spend) @ Invicta

41

only 100m but looking like old times

a bit large at 44mm however in my first year at medical school (dropped out) they said the americans slightly bigger than aussies on average

please note some strange things like doubling the prices when going to cart

it's AUD135 appearing in USD on some devices at half that

the whole point of this post is buying 2 watches 1 male 1 female at prices lower than elsewhere totaling over 230 to get free shipping

invictas are not great but in post description they are colourful and rare automatics

Isnt this just a dupe of your last deal? Same sale just linking to slightly different watches? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/831642

Still the same dodgy practice of charging AUD much higher than they should. $60 USD should be about $92 AUD, not $135.

      • have you fixed your mobile devices to desktop view yet

Why would you still think i am on mobile? Never said i was, quite the opposite. I made it clear i wasnt and even had a screenshot of a desktop. For some reason you cant understand that.

        it's just google syncing errors

What are you talking about? The site converting $59 USD to $135? No way. Thats clearly deliberate.

these watches are different (retros if you like) sporty dress stryle

So? Its still the exact same sale as the other deal you posted. Should we post a new deal for each and every single watch?

i asked Watchnerd to link/post ladies autos from Ali/Temu (they are all non autos even though some are colourful)

I was tricked and got refunded buying an "auto" which was quartz from China

Invicta offers 3 years warranty (Ali/Temu and eBay sellers give partial refunds to repair yourself) for watches over certain price point and fully refunding below that)

Ask Watchnerd if some of his bargains are duds

Why on earth are you directing any of this to me? Again, completely irrelevant to anything i have said.

        • -1

my point was these are real bargain when getting free shipping

          • @pissedpoor: Again, how is that relevant to my comment? I didn't say anything about the quality/deal or lack thereof.

I put something like 4 questions to you there and you pretty much avoided all of them.

            • -2

@Duff5000: please go down few cm to see why price jumped rediculously

              • +1

@pissedpoor: I know why they jump and i explained it above.

I will spell it out again:

This watch is on the site for $42 (USD) Even if you select AUD it still shows USD but whatever.

                https://invictastores.com/invicta-pro-diver-men-s-watch-43mm…

What they charge for it in AUD is $96 + shipping. Way way above the actual exchange rate which should be around $64

Any company doing such dodgy exchange rate deserves a negative vote IMO.

@Duff5000: Fedex Freight Forwarding to comply with USA Exports Laws explained below

                  • @pissedpoor: You said that but you didn't explain what on earth you meant by it. It sounds like you just made it up. Where is this specified?

They are charging a shipping price on top of the bad exchange rate. Why are you asserting fedex fees are not part of the charged shipping price?

                    • -1

@Duff5000: Fedex buys it then send you invoice / order confirmation

I will post in reply to this

                      • @pissedpoor: How does that show "fedex buys it then sends you the invoice"? Fedex cross border is just fedex delivery outside of the US.

The courier having your order number /shipping conformation is completely normal.

                        • -1

@Duff5000: How can you explain Fedex having my order details when a courier company only allowed to know total value and address

                          https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/138287/110640/invictas…

                          https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/138287/110661/order2it…

                          • @pissedpoor: Because you have to declare what it is and a price when shipping internationally. Again, pretty normal stuff. They will have it done automatically on any decent ordering system. I have the same thing ordering from Ali with DHL. There is no reason to think FedEx buy it then ship it, that's just crazy.

Anyway….. They charge a shipping fee, no reason to do what you assert and inexplicably hide part of that shipping fee in their currency conversion.

                            • -1

@Duff5000: invicta never sent invoice/order confirmation for the order. wonder why???

                              • @pissedpoor: Because they are a poorly organised mess? You cant just make stuff up and assert you are correct just because you think that may be how something works.

You didnt by it from fedex. You dont have an invoice for the item as being from fedex.

                                Look at this screenshot:

                                https://i.imgur.com/zAj5JQA.png

$12000 watch should be around 18k in AUD. In your made up world, Fedex are charging ~$8000 to deliver an item. Thats a complete load of BS.

The far more logical and obvious answer is Invicta just rip australians off with a dodgy exchange rate. The same way they have dodgy RRPs. (they say the RRP is is 46k AUD but also say 20k USD). You defend them like you work for them.

                                • @Duff5000: Being so well versed on ozbargain, please tell me how to upload pdf files thank you

                                • @Duff5000: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/138287/110667/whatyous…

this is the only invoice/order confirmation

freight forwarding charging fees based on value not weight or size

ring Fedex in your spare time to ask if you still believe your own commerce system

                                  • @pissedpoor: Looks like they may be doing the pick and pack and post for them. Either way, your order is still with Invicta. You didnt order it from Fedex, they just process it for them.

Do you really seriously believe that $8000 is a fedex charge? Absolutely no way at all. Not a chance.

How do i know? I used to use a similar setup to process online orders myself for my old job. The cost to get someone to do this tiny. It was actually cheaper to pay someone else to do it and access their cheaper volume shipping rates than to pick, pack and post ourselves. We would pay them a small fee per order, offset by cheaper postage costs.

No way, not a chance in hell fedex are charging $8000.

Even if you were right, and i am certain you are not, then they are lying about free shipping then.

Ask Watchnerd if some of his bargains are duds

Seems a bit "personal"… But, yeah, sure, ok, I will do…

Hey @WatchNerd are some of your bargains duds? (I'm guessing at a low of 11 and a high of 150+ upvotes on his last page worth of posted deals, with most garnering around 50~ish votes… that would be a no.)

        • bargains from Ali not in AUSTRALIA

          • @pissedpoor: I bought duds from Ali the Bay and Tem before

eg the pips falling off when you peel the scratch-safe tape

          • +2

@pissedpoor: My last Aliexpress post is still available. Member @Muzeeb posted a review here.

Some Aliexpress watches (Auto NH35) like Steeldive, Addiesdive, Pagani Design & Tandoorio leave the Invicta Auto Pro-Divers for dead now.

            • @WatchNerd: please check how many pips remaining on those "dive" watches

Even Deep blue I bought brand new lost the pip

MIcro brands quality assurance is like that

              • -1

@pissedpoor: Also big brands like Seiko. They are known for alignment issues.

              • @pissedpoor: I hate to participate in these arguments but the invicta is hardly a gold standard for quality assurance for NH35 autos…… badly regulated movements have been observed out of the box……(and nh35s are usually good)

            • -1

@WatchNerd: Please post female AUTOS from your brands

            • @WatchNerd: Please Post LADIES AUTOS from your BRANDS as you commented on this post

          • @pissedpoor:

bargains from Ali not in AUSTRALIA

Most of his deals are from Australian based websites/stores such as AmazonAU, Aldi, Jaycar, Coles, Woolworths, Big W, Harvey Normal, Watch Depot… the list goes on. Only a few are from AmazonJP, Starbuy and to a much letter extent, AliExpress, which ironically only made up only 3 posts from his last page (50 results) worth of posts (or a paltry 6% of their posts…)

They are sending Fedex Freight Forwarding to comply with US Exports Laws

They charged me $56 to buy 2 items (everything added to 235AUD)

The 2 items would have cost the same total elsewhere except i got 1 Invicta Limited Edition instead of regular ones (so my savings was just the number on the case back)

  • +3

Most of them look like kids' watches, but they're all adult sizes.

  • there was a watch elsewhere only 1 remaining

Invicta sent me email offering 50% off already sale prices

that means i could afford 4 colours (not black) above for the price of 1 mentioned

    i chose the brand name

invicta replied when i asked why i could not use discount code (ONLY applied to USA address)

I waited for that reply before posting thinking it would be incredible deal to put code here (silly me)

  • a bit large at 44mm

Guessing the 58.3mm is totally out of the question then.

  • Yes, Americans are a large people

  • +1

You'll see three prices for each item (If you so desire) switching delivery country and currency — US/USD, AU/USD and AU/AUD.
One watch was $24.90, $36 and finally $56.

    Such ropey designs too.
