Sorry, @Jimothy Wongingtons, no gold in this sale. It’s getting closer!

  • super cool

    Cheap Turtle and Promaster LE.

    • Only 1 turtle left but with sapphire and ceramic bezel it's a winner at that price. Cyclops delete and it will be even better.

Confirmed, I have been living under a rock.

That's pretty lovely. I adore my precisionist

Its like a Patek Aquanaut and Rolex Datejust had a baby, pretty cool retro look to it

This looks like a Date Just and a Nautilus had a child which has more chromosomes than the NDIS

Is there a link to the range for under 75s?

    • +1

@WatchNerd - please insert joker link here for this young chap

      • +1

That expensive joker watch seems to be sold out.
Why not get a roulette watch, it's a classic single Zero wheel so one's chances of getting a root are way better..

  • Still too high.

There goes 480 I didn't need to spend… Btw I went for the green one

      Green second best after gold

      • +2

        Second comes right after first

    • You don’t see a lot of Green watches but the colour has been growing on me since I bought a Seiko SARB017 Alpinist.
I think it looks pretty nice on this Bulova range.

  • 30m WR… Is it safe to get it wet when washing hands? Lol

    • I should say, like with most dress watches just don't get it wet.

Are there any physical stores in Melbourne that have this? I'd wanna try it on before I buy

    • I went through the process of trying to find a Bulova stockist in Melbourne but even though the Bulova website has 4-5 listed none of them stock the range anymore.
There was a jeweller in Williamstown on the list who I never called because they were on Christmas/New Years break.
At least with Starbuy you have a 45 day return window.

      • But you'll have to pay for the return shipping right? So returning it is not quite as safe unfortunately.

    • At one point even Starbuy wasn’t going to be stocking these… it’s a pretty niche look with niche appeal…

Apparently they wear pretty good, I'd just order from Starbuy. Usually you can get a pretty good idea from watching various reviews on YouTube buy I'm sure you could return it (just don't peel stickers if applicable etc).

I had a look couldn't see any store in Melbourne that stock Bulova. Starbuy prices are very sharp so even if you did have to pay to return it it's worth it (but should be fine).

Its a slightly fancy quartz watch ~ slightly and I mean slightly, all your getting is a battery (non-solar in 2025?!? whatdafk) quartz watch with a clean sweer as apposed to a tick, thats it ~ thats all. Value, extra, maybe 10c & I have several, they all all worth nix IMO

    • What do you think of the 9F Grand Seiko quartz?

  • That's a fluted bezel, not a coin-edged bezel.

And it would look so much better with a smooth bezel.

    • Yep, similar to the Rolex Datejust, with cyclops date and oyster bracelet.

The starbuy website has it wrong.

  • I just received the watch today and the screws to adjust the strap all appear really bad, is this normal?

    https://www.imghippo.com/i/qmWL1244sxg.jpg

Edit: I think these are push thingies and not screws, will just go to a watch shop to get them to adjust it

    • Not screws. If you have the tools you can easily do it yourself.

      • I tried to eject the pins using one of those little sim card eject tools and it didn't work, it has worked for all my other watches with spring pins (That said I don't have many watches)

Pins on this watch is just really hard to play with.

        • Yeah some take a little force. If you have a little hammer you might be able to tap on the sim card thing (or similar) to get it out.
