@meowmeowmeow: Confirm received 43mm watch 6 LTE as expected in Black colour. Same model as the one I picked

      • What type of notification did you get? I just got a text from auspost saying my parcel coming today but it has no tracking…..
The only other thing I'm waiting for is an eBay purchase sent by letter so not sure if I would get a notification about that….

    • +1

Just received mine too. Did not expect to get anything as I also purchased from the edu store.

Thanks to the OzBargainer who posted the link!

    • +1

Damn! Nothing on my end in the AusPost app. Although im also not really expecting anything since I purchased on the EPP store. Although its giving me hope learning you purchased from edu.

    • Damn I should have applied for the watch

    • Mine just arrived today

    • where'd you find the link initially?

    • what date did you order?

    • Could you please share your timeline of order?specifically when did you received your phone?
      Thanks

      • Ordered S24U 256gm titanium blue

        • ordered 18th Jan midday with accessories
        • cancelled accessories straight away
        • order changed to shipped on 30th Jan
        • Also on 30th Jan around 4:30pm, received email from Kristy dispatch delayed to 5th Feb
        • 31st Jan, Star track tracking number appeared on Aus post App
        • Received phone 8:30am 1st Feb
        • refund received for accessories 2nd Feb
        • Thanks for your brief response. I got mine on 2nd. I should get watch by tomorrow then

    • I filled out the following form

      https://samsung.jotform.com/240148282381858

I purchased S24U on afternoon Jan 19th and received my delivery on Jan 29th.

Haven't got any auspost notifications for the watch yet. From memory when I filled out the form a number of the watches were already out of stock and only a handful left. So not sure if I met the first 500 quota. I can't even remember which watch I selected lol

      • How did you find the link in the first place?

Another user shared it in the earlier comments. The best bargains are always in the comments and in the OzBargain premium member's lounge. /s

  • Did anyone send the phone for trade in? Do I need to supply packaging or Auspost would provide one for me?

Is it just the phone? Do I remove screen protector? I just thought to leave it on - in case of rough handling by Auspost…

    • Took mine to Auspost, they supplied and put it into a small padded satchel and put it somewhere behind the counter. Eager to learn if the phone is received and in what condition.

      • @N30NF15H: Do you leave the casing and screen protector on? Not sure if these would help with the postage, might make it durable??

        • I took my case off and never had a screen protector. I'm sure it does no harm to leave it on. I'm just going to chuck the case out anyway now so I should have left it on.

Samsung just received my device, it took 10 days for confirmation. Waiting for the condition assessment now…

        • I just received confirmation from Asurion that the conditon of the phone is all good.

  • Anyone did not send the tradein device and got charged $60 twice?
I got charge $60 when purchased my S24U then another $60 again two days ago.

    • Is that on top of the trade in value of the device?

    • The first $60 must be a trade in value

  • Got mine earlier today 24 Ultra in titanium blue 256gb (ordered 5th of Feb). Got the silicone case as well, and refund for 2 cancelled accessories is being processed.

Was fortunate by the sound of things given the issues I'm reading people are having with their deliveries and returns.

    Great device all in all.

    • I'm glad yours is going smoothly.

I'm waiting on my accessory return since the 29th Jan.

2 chats, 2 calls, 1 email and no one can do anything. And different information given.

One rep said to call my bank and get the refund. How pathetic. Yes cause my bank can process a refund on behalf of Samsung.

Going to do a chargeback soon, if that fails (which it shouldn't), I'm committed going to AFCA

  • Anyone worked out how to fix the terrible battery drain issue? I got the S24U and smart switched from a Fold 5. Never had this issue on previous phones

    • Same experience, not sure why though when online reviewers were saying excellent battery times. In reddit discussions, they said that the inertial 1 2 weeks are like this then it gets better. Have to wait and see. Does anyone else experience the same?

      • Yeah sounds like marketing fluff pushed by Samsung's PR team. Previous flagships never had a problem

        • Ya could be. Read that after some days, few apps will be put into deep sleep then it will be fine it seems.

          • @IDontKnowWhyImHere: So ive rebooted and touch wood maybe the battery issues are resolved. Lets see…

            • @0 0 0: Ya, I did the same now. Are you using Always on display and QHD resolution?

              • @IDontKnowWhyImHere: I wasnt, was on the middle setting. But just changed it. Didnt know higher resolution existed 😄

                • @0 0 0: Good to have higher res but it will drain the battery bit more 😀 but let's see how we go this week.

    • How terrible is it? What options do you have on?

Atm I have 5g, QHD, bluetooth, AOD auto, adaptive refresh rate all on and getting 5/6 SOT with around 20% battery life left.

      • I havent used my phone enough to test but i know it wasnt charging well on my wireless charger and didnt get to 100% overnight (not a battery protection thing i dont think).

Will see how it goes today

    • smart switched

      there you go. always fresh

      • I've always used smart switch since probably S10+ days. I change phones every 6-12 months so it would be painful to set up from scratch. At least my Galaxy watch also smart switches too! Was very surprised to find this out with the S24u

    • So i got my phone a few days ago - did a fresh boot/install, but still using my old phone until the weekend where I have time to set it up.

I've basically got nothing installed on it, a sim card with no network, just wifi connection and base apps. My phone drains 30% during the day - while its idle in my drawer. Very strange.

      • Check Battery activity to see what's sucking up juice. Money's on Always On Display.

      • Reboot may have fixed mine. Fingers crossed but at 79% since charging to 96% 9.5hrs ago

  • Funnily enough I just received my Watch6 and I'm pretty sure they sent me the wrong model as I put down an LTE 44mm version but what can you do lol

    • did you get any notification?

      • +1

Not that I can find tbh

    • What model did you get instead?

      • 44mm wifi version looks like

        • +1

It just turned up on your doorstep? No Auspost notif or anything?

  • Finally after quite a drama with the delivery (StarTack had the wrong address, an address correction generated a new consignment ID which delayed the delivery more) got my S24U 512gb today. A bit underwhelmed with the blue, especially having to wait for so long because of it. May be it'll grow on me.

Another blunder I did was to order the clear case instead of silicone, in the rush to order the accessories I was more focused on it being clear rather than silicone. Oh well, guess I'd have to endure the horror show of returning an item to Samsung.

Anyone received the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic for filling up the Joyform?

    • Yes, refer to the comments half way up page 31 (this page of comments)

  • Hi there, anyone from Melbourne who has received the bonus watch.? Thanks

    • +1

Yes received yesterday in Northern Melbourne

      • did you get any email notification ?

  • Traded a perfectly working s21 ultra in for $365 through Asurion. Noticed 2 days ago the wording on my status "Original Condition Good Working Order Final Condition Non Good Working Order". Sent a query of to them about it and that the pictures they had attached of the phone dont work. Havent heard back and just got a $10 refund and that the status is complete. Do you think I can get the phone returned to me? I had been using it without issue and was overall good conditon

    • Same thing has happened to me. Traded a S22U for $525 and they refunded $40 said non good working order but never contacted me or emailed me about it, I had to check in the trade up portal. Not even any photos or notes attached. I've sent a compliant to Samsung CEO office, it's such a scam :(
Not sure how to proceed since Asurion are not responding to email and there's no other way to contact them.

    • that's scary. any screen marks?

      • Couple of very light small scratches but nothing major, not enough to consider it not good working order :(

        • that's dodgy as man. I might need to take pics/vids before I send mine.

          • +1

@Bigredkeg: Definitely, i've got a bunch of pics and videos to use as evidence, just need to work out how to get some traction. Email to CEO office seems to be the way to go. I emailed Asurion 4 days ago but they still haven't replied, so i emailed the CEO office yesterday with some photos attached. Hopefully i hear back but it's very frustrating and i got my credit card statement so i'm going to have to pay the $525 for now…

            • @meowmeowmeow: Unfortunately i didnt take any pictures of the phone but it was returned in a phone box nice and securely. Just cant believe there has been no email contact or information on the portal about its supposed non working condition before the $10 refund. Will look into contacting CEO office as you have.

              • @rbrbrb: Let me know how you go

                • @meowmeowmeow: Finally got a response on the portal from my first message. Issue was lcd ghosting (which i definitely didnt notice) and they said i will receive the full amount refunded in 14 days. I never made any other emails to samsung.

                  • @rbrbrb: Crazy. Sounds like same message I got. What a weird system. I suspect they've lost track of all the phones lol. Let's hope we both get the money back in the next two weeks!

                  • @rbrbrb: Hey did you ever actually get the refund? I waited the 14 business days and got nothing, so have raised with NSW Fair Trading…

                    • @meowmeowmeow: No still waiting! I sent another message through the portal a couple days ago chasing it up.

                      • @rbrbrb: NSW Fair Trading just told me they were advised the refund was processed on March 22. It clearly wasn't as there's nothing in my account and it's been more than 5 business days. I just sent a message via the Portal but not sure what the turnaround time is. So frustrating.

                        • @meowmeowmeow: Double check your payment method, if you paid with paypal sometimes to goes back as 'paypal balance' and you need to withdraw it

                          • @CodeXD: oh good point. I just checked but nothing there. It should be refunded onto the credit card i used to pay Asurion but it hasn't come through. I checked my other credit card as well just in case Samsung processed the refund but nothing there either :(

                        • +1

                          @meowmeowmeow: Refund received this morning!

                      • @rbrbrb: Finally got the refund. Spoke to fair trading on Monday and told them there's no way Samsung processed the refund on 22 March, nothing has appeared on any of my accounts. She said she had a call with Samsung coming up so will ask them for some sort of receipt. Must have called their bluff because they processed the refund on Monday afternoon lol.

              • @rbrbrb: I got an email from the CEO office this afternoon - bit of a copy/paste job but it says they have escalated with Asurion. Still no photos or notes on the trade up portal about why they think my phone was not in good working order, so they have zero evidence. Hoping i will get my money refunded but let's see if anything happens. I bet they are getting smashed with complaints at the moment too.

                • @meowmeowmeow: What email address did you send to for ceo? I cant see the link mentioned on the main samsung page .

                  Preparing forthe worst-case , thanks :)

                  • +1

@lethalmoney: There's a link at the bottom of the samsung AU homepage, called Email the CEO Office or something like that. It opens a web form where you put your complaint and can add 5 attachments.

          • @Bigredkeg: After having a quick google and look on the forums its evident they are dodgy as. Might be worth selling it privately

            • +1

              @rbrbrb: Jesus.
I sent in a 2500 rrp fold 4 512gb (going for 900 odd currently). Traded it in good faith for 720 for ease of transfer. Really hope they dont try and screw me.

Ill be kicking down doors if they offer me 10 dollars for a very exxy phone.

              • @lethalmoney: Well my phone arrived at assurion at midday on friday. Trade up portal still says en route.

                :/
Sent a query via portal, no response.

            • @rbrbrb: Update: After hearing back from the Samsung CEO office saying they will escalate to Asurion but still not getting any response from Asurion, i submitted a complaint to NSW Fair Trading on Saturday. Today (Tuesday) i got a message from Asurion which says:

              Asurion Support Team
              27 Feb 2024 12:43 PM
We are pleased to inform you that we have received a new disposition for your Trade-up ID: SP[removed]. Despite the initial assessment indicating that your trade-in device was not in good working order due to ghosting and persistent images, we will be accepting it. Furthermore, we want to assure you that your security deposit refund will be processed promptly. Please expect the refund to be completed within 14 business days.

My phone did not have any ghosting or persistent image issues. They've lost the plot. But anyway seems like they are going to refund my money after all! Will keep an eye on my credit card to make sure it comes through :)

I am performing a chargeback this morning on Samsung. Multiple attempts to have a refund of accessories as well as a phone, and even with referece numbers, nothing as happened. I cant believe how inept this online store is.

    • Yup, doing a chargeback this week myself

    • please update on this :)

    • Im on my 4th attempt at returning an item. Ive now gone to the back of the queue, as they had to "escalate". 7-10 business days to review claim. 21-30 business to process the refund, after they have received the item…

It seems criminal. There is literally no one at Samsung who cares and no channel to get help.

  • +1

Just got charged $30 instead of $60 by Asurion for a cracked $1 iPhone 8 trade in which I didn't send in. Happy days

    • I got charged $60 for not sending out a mobile with trade-in value $90

      • Yeah, i read from another post that for any item with trade in value less than $30 the no send in fee is $30 instead of $60

        • +1

I got charged $60 for trade in value of $5 & $30 for value of $1

        • i got charged 60, while s8+ value was 25

          • @abal897: I got charged 60 for s 10 dolllar trade in vslue phone.

  • Did anyone else receive their order for the Watch + band?
I received a box with a watch on it but I thought the band would be separate. I did not get the band in the delivery… Is the band in the box?

  • Is anyone having grainy issues with their S24?

    • Haven't checked that properly yet, how exactly do you check for it? I do seem to have the image shift and barn-door zoom effect issue. I also seem to have the banding issue.

      • go on test my screen website and check on solid colors, very easy to see on gray. and make sure your phone is at 10-20% battery. haven't heard of your other issues though except for the banding one

  • Did order on 18 Jan via nornal store and still no sign up of bonus watch though over 400 units were available when I completed the form.

    • As someone said above, could well be that they are sending out in batches depending on your choice.
Just push it back of mind and let it be a wonderful surprise!

      • Agree, hopefully they are sent out in batches. S24 ultra was a huge improvement from my old iPhone. Plus with this deal, I had saved money.
For now, I would take some time to enjoy the phone.

        • +1

Ordered titanium blue 1tb s24 ultra on 18th of Jan and filled out form. Randomly got a Auspost tracking today I think it's the watch. Will update when I receive unit.

          • @jumanji13: I also got a random 'in our system' 'sign on delivery' packagesnotification from auspost. Not expecting anything else so fingers crossed.
