I still don't feel any ereader is worth more than $200, there isn't any significant upgrade on latest models besides the screen quality improvements, and those are pretty marginal.
The asking price for these devices is absolutely insane these days. How are you justifying $330 for what is essentially an extremely poorly specced tablet with an even cheaper screen than a regular tablet. I'm absolutely shocked that the Chinese manufacturers haven't just blown these companies out of the water.
Agree, I bought a Kindle in a recent sale and essentially haven't used it. Phone is always with me and generally find it easier to read.
I do love my Kobo and I believe e-readers have a real place, but when it finally dies I'm going to have a very hard time justifying another Kobo which now cost more than double what I paid for mine and seemingly have less features. Mine is waterproof and the battery lasts literally months.
I do love them for reading before bed. Eye protect/ Red Tint mode on an e-ink display doesn't seem to impact my ability to fall asleep the way that a phone screen does.

Can't believe the Oasis is still $300+ after all this time. Sure it was $329 in 2019 so you could say it has actually gotten cheaper in 2024 except it doesn't feel like it does $300 worth of stuff.
