Bought the firestick 4k a few days ago, used the $15 commbank amazon gift card coupon and it it came down to $7 delivered. Not sure how that worked out but it did.

Does anyone know if you can run the fire stick max without the power adapter? Just straight off the USB port of tv?
The power supply it comes with is 9W 5.2V 1.8A which is probably outside what the TV can supply.

Own both the 1st gen and 2nd gen firestick 4k.
1st gen can output Atmos in Disney app.
2nd gen cannot.
Just returned 2nd gen until this is fixed.

Unless you know how to set up an alternate launcher, think twice about getting a Fire streaming device. They have recently pushed out an update that auto-play fullscreen ads every time you wake up the device.
