    Awesome discount if it's genuine!!

EDIT: did a staticice search for "C1110 Colour Laser Printer" and cheapest was $407.53

  • Just checked the pice of refills: Black=$98, each of 3 colours = $142 (staticice). I would say buy these in pairs - one for the printer and another for the set of toners!

PS: I like the wording on the citysoftware ad "Changing toners has never been easier.." - ;)

    • you maybe able to sell the empty printer as well (after u change the toners)

    • I wonder whether it's sampler toner as the ones from cheap laser printer?

      • Almost without a doubt

      • The citysoftware web says 1000 pages at 5% coverage and the new toners at $142 are 2000 pages at 5% coverage.

Good use and throw I would say - make sure you don't get attached to the printer!

    • hottoner have the generic toner for about $40 per cartridge. A bit tricky and messy the first time, and works none-the-less. Although, the quality deteriorates very quickly (after the 4th lot through ours). Also I am getting roughly 700 pages in documentation with some images. Seems cheap initially, but I can see me dumping this and going back to my Canon printer, as the throughput is about 800 pages on a set of 5 ink cartridges for $80.

  • hrmm cheap but i dont need it

  • Weird.. stock levels just jumped from 32 to 84..

    • The reason for this is that we sold out of our initial stock level for this deal but have been able to secure more at the same price.

    according to this review http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/index.php/taxid;2136212643;pid…
the running cost per page is 25.5 cents.
That's rather expensive I would think.

    • 25.5c based on their RRP price of $559 :)

What happened if the printer cost is NOW only 1/4th of their original RRP ?

  • Not very good, the samsung printer I have has very low cost per page. only was $150 more expensive, probably only $50 more expensive by now.

Plus this printer has lower resolution, long term it will also cost you more, slower b/w printing as well…
This may be useable as a home printing solution though. Long term = No No

  • this is not a bargain — i paid less for this printer earlier this year
make sure you know that it is not a netweork printer , has super high cost printing for not the greatest quality
this is the C1110B model — not the C1110 (which is better)

      For those that are interested:
C1110B is the base model while C1110 comes with 640MB memory, Ethernet capability and multiple language options.

    • How much less and where, when and how?

(more importantly why didn't you share it here?) :-)

For a home printer this is a good price for a very decent machine I'd have thought.

  • I voted for it anyway. If you check out Staticice and Shopbot there's not many really under $400 so you can't deny that its cheap! :)

  • it was $10 cheaper (after $200 cashback) 108 days ago at the same retailer: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/5963 :)

    • All the better, I'll pay the $10 not to have to stuff around with a cashback offer. haha!

  • I got the network version with the cashback, but to get it at this price without stuffing around is very good.

I might buy it just for the toner.

  • There was a $129 colour laser HP printer with the same specs at JB Hifi!!! Take a look around people - this is no bargain.

Colour laser printers are not what you think they are… Now you can buy an HP J6480 with wireless / document feeder / multi tray / print / copy / scan / back to back that takes 74XL cartridges for $40 that do 750 pages each. Inkjet that is… $229 after cashback.

So it turns out that with a laser printer, you get less resolution and no scanner / wireless function (unless you want to pay thousands).

The only good thing about laser is, the print is crisp and does not smudge and of course because it's burnt on there's no wet bleed.

    • Inkjets are great if you print all the time, otherwise the cartridges dry out and you have to fork out more dough. That's not the case with laser printers which use powder toner.

  • For pickup, this deal isn't too bad. However when postage is added on top, it is not much of a bargain.

    • Postage is expensive because it's a bulky item and all laser printers are pretty heavy. So at least they're not tying to rip you off with shipping.

  • are you sure you're getting full volume toners?

Some brands are starting to put in "sample" cartridges with new printers.

    Getting sneakier every day.

  • far out this machine is massive, didnt realise. i have to build a cupboard to store it in
