So what's the chances the Quest 3 will have a black friday deal somewhere? Buying one for my son for Christmas, was going to get the 2 but thinking the 3 would be the better option.

What if you buy one right now, and they do a huge price reduction on black friday? Can you return and rebuy or ask for a price reduction?

Not tied to a console, doesn't have cables, you can do PCVR on it… it's a pretty sweet headset tbh.
So they've added a 'black friday deal' which is just essentially adding a $100 amazon giftcard to the current price for an extra $100. What the..? Why would people go for that when they can just buy it on it's own without adding the extra giftcard for no discount. Does anyone think that this will come cheaper next Friday for the 'real' black Friday?

@kk3: Best guess = If giving as a gift and feeling generous, you can include the "Gift Card inside a mini envelope" so that the recipient can buy some accessories! Basically Amazon trying to upsize!

It’s for my daughter Xmas and yes it’s a bit expensive but it’s latest tech and she probably would love the mixed reality of it.
My concern is also gb is 128gb Is enough.
I can see it’s good you get $100 gift card free which can be used on other quest to items but they will be pushing to sell more of the older device.
Knowing there is a never and better device puts me off getting her quest 2 as who knows what there plans are as more quest 3 sell.
Not sure about the 512gb unless you're talking about the 256gb? I would assume it is the same as 128gb.
256gb was $499 for just headset before. The Black Friday deal is now $399 headset + $100 gift card. I think they might have not updated the price properly previously for the Black Friday deal as seen from the comments above.
As for whether or not 128gb is enough and whether to choose q2 or q3, I can't give an opinion because I'm also deciding. But personally I don't think I can justify the price for q3 and I feel like 128gb might be enough for me.

I did know they had prices and I think still same without free gift card and now with gift cards and had recently but changed with gift cards now less which is should have been as it was like you was buying the actual gift card lol not free.
I think the q2 256gb would be a good buy if only it was a q3 though lol.
It’s in the middle for storage which not to low and probably ideal, shame they never took out q3 that way.
Buying the q2 which is 3 years old now still is popular and at current amazon price with gift card does sound good.
But I’m holding on hoping for the q3 to have a drop in price and hopefully a gift card but don’t see it happen as why would they as only bee released last month.

If the quest 3 drops in price with amazon card or decided to go quest 2 with current deal the amazon card can be used multiple times until all money is used right? If used and only used part of it still can use rest later?
And can it be used if amazon sends item but different seller to amazon, I understand if non amazon sender and seller can’t use on that.
But was curious if sent by amazon but another seller.
