Bugger! That's a shame. I’ve been loving the Quest 2 lately. I'm on the fence about either upgrading to a 3, or getting the PS VR2.
Got this last time it went on sale for a similar price. Thouroughly enjoying it, not a huge catalogue and mostly just waiting for games to go on reasonable sale to pick up (grabbing GT7 tonight), but really fun so far. If you have a PS5, recommend it.
I've tried a whole bunch of VR games and just can't get into most of the FPS, strategy ones, except No Man's Sky and GT7.
And on that, GT7 is AWESOME with VR, I have 100's of hours just playing GT7 VR2 now and loooveeeee it.
Same. GT7 rules on PS VR2. I haven't played anything else since getting it…
Is GT7 worth it for just local single player? Not really wanting to pay extra for the subcription.
@jakentta: Yes, you need internet connection, but don't need PS plus for single player campaign stuff
Can be used with some effort on PC with the adapter - I'd recommend the Quest 3 instead however for PC gaming.
It is very easy to setup on PC but I agree with the Quest 3 recommendation.
I have both for PCVR and have been using the PSVR2 for the last 4 months. Colours are awesome on the PSVR2 but the mura and screen door effect are quite noticable. On top of that, the sweet spot is very unforgiving.
Quest 3 has decent colours but the optics is significantly better than the PSVR2. Practically no screen door, no mura, and large sweet spot.
PSVR doesn't have it's own processor right? ie it can't be used even for light VR stuff like browsing/videos without being connected to the PS5/PC? Whereas the Quest 3 is a standalone device

I'm definitely buying either the PSVR2 or Q3 this Black Friday but still not sure which one. I have both a PS5 and a powerful PC so trying to figure out which one is best. I like the idea of being able to play both PS5 and PC games but it seems like the Q3 is better hardware (PC would be the majority of use).
Is it likely that the Q3 will get cheaper than the current $799? That seems to be the default price not a discount price
Get Quest unless you are desperate to play Horizon and any other PS exclusives. Being untethered makes a huge difference, let alone the fact the Q3 runs standalone.
I'm guessing PSVR will be on clearout within 12 months so you can swoop in later when it is cheaper. Albeit by that time the PC dongle/adapters may be hard to get??
I am in the same boat DT. Had PSVR 1 on PS4, now I have a PS5 and a strong PC. Was just considering getting a Quest 3 yesterday and now this deal has come out!
I hope Q3 gets a sale deal, I’d prefer moving to Quest/PCVR again so my library isn’t locked away from me because of a headset upgrade/change like PSVR 1 to 2.
I should add that I’ve decided to go with the PSVR2 after I found if it can be used on PC with an adapter.

The PC adapter, I don’t know, apparently it is low in stock, I got lucky and got the final one from my local EB.
If you are going to get the PC adapter, should let you know you’ll need a display port cable handy and
decent Bluetooth, most motherboard bluetooths won’t cut it.
