When are you having the next batch of surface 6 for sale? I bought the last time and love it. I want one more. 😊

    • +1

      Next week hang tight

Omg I'm also waiting for Surface laptop. Bought one earlier this year, absolutely amazing!

    • -1

one in each hand or gotta post on marketplace?

  • Great Monitor for $230

    • +3

      B grade

      • +2

        I will avoid B grade…..
Got a few A grade recently and I would say it's not A grade probably between A and B

  • +1

Bought a similar spec system at a higher price point from this seller in the current sale. It's already arrived, and was less than two months out of warranty. Yet to really test out the battery, but otherwise pretty satisfied.

  • Will Dell provide a password release code for locked BIOS?

Remember, free returns with ebay plus if you lose the lottery.
Good thing these are 16GB as it is soldered.

  • +15

"The device may have BIOS Lock or have under 80% original battery" - how can they say "This does not affect the usability and performance of the device" if I can't even change any settings in BIOS OR with super short battery life.

And "marks on the screen, dints, slightly worn keys or touchpad and heavy scratches" - unless you connect to external Keyboard and Mouse + Monitor, these definitely affect the usability.

    • Plus if you try to replace the battery, if they have a tamper switch it may lock the whole device down until you provide the bios password

  • Not bad for a kid machine that only occasionally leave the house .

1 gen newer than my current laptop lol

  • +1

Up to 10th gen dells can be bios unlocked using sites like bios-pow.org for free. Submitting invoice to dell should also work. Not advertising the battery percentage is a concern but free returns

With this experience https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/800829 i'll stay away from this seller..

    • oops pulled the trigger already

Bought from them and no issues at all

        • +2

3 or 4 purchases from them and there was issues with every one… Not a single order has been "As Described"

  • +10

"Received email asking for feedback this morning. Obviously left a negative feedback due to lack of response.

Received this shortly after 🤣. 0/10.

"We would be more than happy to arrange a replacement unit, however you have left us negative feedback without been able to assist you.

If you wish to remove your negative feedback, we would be more than happy to arrange a replacement.""

    Pretty poor performance!

Much the same happened to me back in July when I purchased a "Very Good - Refurbished" 7400 with a claimed 80+% battery for around $500… The battery was totally stuffed, around 50%… I tried to contact them, no response, so I left negative feedback, they replied fast after that but they would only replace the stuffed battery if I first removed my honest feedback… I'm not a fan of blackmail being part of a company meeting their legal obligation and supplying an item "As Described", so I returned it for a refund…

They had my honest negative feedback removed from their eBay account, I assume they have a good Ebay contact…

Dodgy as hell IMO… DON'T trust their feedback, they have most of the negatives removed.

      • eBay will removed the negative response IF the seller provide a refund (as you are not a customer to them anymore).

        https://www.reddit.com/r/Ebay/comments/12vanm5/why_does_ebay…

      • Yeah fleabay isn't what they used to be. When you bid or purchase an item, it is supposed to be a 'legal binding contract'. I've bid on quite a few items and it obviously didn't meet the sellers reserve or price they wanted, so they cancel the sale by saying "problem with buyers address/contact details" which is the easiest way out. Then they repost the item as a new auction/sale. Only once, have i had the seller honour their sale at $0.99.
What's the point of a legal contract crap if they don't honour it?? And they get to hide the negative vote because it wasn't a 'sale' Shitty if you ask me

    Seller should be banned .
Wouldnt trust them at all especially after going radio silent

    Refer to comments https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/800829

would not recommend seller. still waiting for me refund. its been 2 weeks since they got it.

    • +1

Yeah a bit waste of time. Took almost 3 weeks for the refund.

Seller sent wrong item (bought very good condition item - received C grade item, multiple big scratches, wrong processor, super slow - I think it's faulty, speakers cracking). Email them no reply. Not even an apology.

Another 2 times were extremely dirty, laptop rubbers all disappeared…. Hardly very good condition.

Previously good condition is really good (2 years ago, bought multiple items from them)…. Now I would only consider very good and A grade from them and expect a B grade

  • +4

Interesting I cant link directly to their negative feedback, I assume eBay are doing their best to cover for the dodgy sellers… but anyway, go here and click on the 12 month negatives and have a read through..
    https://www.ebay.com.au/fdbk/feedback_profile/bneacttrader?f…

And they're just the ones they cant get eBay to remove !

    • SHIT!! 81 in 12months!!!!! That's atrocious! I wonder what their % would be if they kept all the negs in tact?? Because obviously there is a lot more that should be on there.

      • +1

I wasn't bothered too much by the number, more by the reasons for the negatives… It looks like "refurbished" is just a wipe with a rag and image them with Win11, and no real checks or anything…

They clearly don't "refurbish" them as they claim… 30-point inspection and the likes: https://pages.ebay.com.au/refurbished-program/#refurbished
30-Point Inspection = Every product is thoroughly tested and held to demanding standards before being sold to you.

  • I've bought 3 computers from them without a hitch, so happy to recommend.

  • I only buy A grade from these guys (listing would say very good condition not used)

I wouldn't trust anything less than A grade as 80% battery or below is a long way down

    • +1

To be honest their A grade is BS, as you can see from the above & few other threds that proves.
Also blackmailing to get the negative feedback removed for genuine issues not acceptable.

      • +1

Agreed, I do not think they refurbished the laptop at all.

      • I got a Dell Latitude 7300 in early October and cosmetically it is pretty much 90% yeah a small scratch on the carbon fibre lid, 1 small 1 cm permanent marker mark. Some light scuffing on certain edges. Otherwise the keyboard is basically new (think it might have always been used with dock) screen is fine.

Battery came at 90% but I think might have come down slightly. I'm just wondering whether it is due to it being a 2019 machine and time or something else (the 7390 I got actually got a new battery put in before it was shipped from the same seller).

I paid $350 after coupon for the 7390. The 7300 is like $250 after coupon (year apart).

It seems like most people have problems with MS surface keyboards fraying at the edges, I suspect first it is the material it is made of and two they don't get used same as Dells (laptops vs 2in1s would be different again).

Given I have worked in Corporate and my 3 year old Dell recently went back pristine because basically always hooked up to a dock WFH and in the office and rarely had to go offsite.

        • Similar experience for me. I picked up something for $400 from this seller in the equivalent deal last year. It was realistically B grade: minor power button issue and badly smudged webcam.

This year picked up the 16gb Whiskey Lake upgrade of the same system for < $350 with coupon, and very happy with it so far.

          • @zbc: yes, this like winning 20mil in Powerball .. :)

            • @chutibuti: Rather sad that it has to be hit and miss type.
              They used to be good.

Was looking at one very good condition at 199, a bit sceptical about it. Few days later same link revised to B grade

              • @edgar28: Probably probably with high volume units you would have problems.

I went for the 7390 and 7300 because they were 13 inch and only bought by corporates and would be used by more senior staff members who hopefully would look after them rather than bash them around. Have considered 7390 2in1 but other than battery bloat I suspect they would get bashed around a little bit as they would be used in tablet mode.

            • @chutibuti: I'd rather win the powerball, even $5m I'd be happy with.

  • +1

Received mine, looks pretty good so far. How do you check the battery health?
