Spotify Premium: 18 Months Individual, 243 days Duo or 206 Days (~7 Months) Family ~A$47.81 @ Spotify Egypt (VPN Required)

3110

This deal is similar to my post last year, but results in a cheaper outcome: circa A$2.66 per month for Individual or A$1.18/month per person if you have a full Family group of six people.

What you will need before starting

  1. VPN with Egypt Server: ExpressVPN, CyberGhost or Surfshark (or another if I am not aware). CyberGhost has a 7-day free trial.
  2. New or lapsed existing Spotify account (can be Australian)

Step 1: Cancel your existing premium subscription to Spotify and wait for the current billing period to end, or create a free account if you don't have one

Edit for step 2 below: users have reported that they have only been able to redeem one gift card (some have said the 12 month has worked but not the 6 month, or vice versa. Note: I have removed specific links from this step because users have reported issues redeeming these gift cards.

Solutions found by other users:
1. Users have reported that the below method works for Spotify India instead
2. If you have already purchased a code which is not working, contact live chat
3. Purchase 3 x 6 month codes instead

Step 2: Purchase 1 x 12 Month Egypt Spotify Premium Gift Card] and 1 x from G2A (alternatively, 3 x 6 months) or another site with Egyptian Spotify gift card. Note: Price quoted in title is based on current total price of the two gift cards linked here, however the price may vary depending on where you purchase it.

Step 3: Turn on your VPN and set location to Egypt. Note: Many VPN providers do not have an Egyptian server.

Step 4: While VPN is activated, go to your 'account' here and click 'Edit Profile', an option to set your country to 'Egypt' should appear (this option is greyed out if you have still have an active premium subscription). If it does not appear, check your VPN is activated correctly. Save your changes. This will now let you redeem Egyptian gift cards.

Step 5: Click Redeem and paste your gift card codes that you previously purchased in Step 2. You will see that the confirmation message will mention '12 Months Premium' and '6 Months Premium' being redeemed. Once you have redeemed both codes, here you will see EGP 499 and EGP 300 respectively in your order history. If you attempt to redeem more than 18 months, you will get an error stating that you cannot redeem more than 18 months of premium in advance.

Note: Stop here if you wish to keep your account as an Individual account. If you wish to convert your 18 Months Premium to 243 days of Duo or 206 days of Family, continue to Step 6. If you stop here your account will remain an "Egyptian" account. Please note, if you do not continue to step 9, this will mean video podcasts will not work on your account.

Step 6: Go to "Account Overview" and click on "Your Plan". Now click "Subscribe" at the bottom. You will now see "Your Plan" with EGP49.99 / month and the next billing date will be 18 months from now. Beneath the summary, you'll see a payment gateway show up with some Egyptian payment options. Look beneath them and you will see "Change country" in the footer. Click on it and select Australia. You will now see $12.99 per month and the next billing date has been reduced to ~12 months from now. This is due to some sort of conversion rate between countries. Do not proceed yet.

Step 7: At the top, click "Change Plan". On the next page, click on Premium Duo or Premium Family. Confirm that the new billing date is approximately 243 days from now (for duo) or 7 months (206 days) for Family.

Step 8: Choose PayPal as the payment method and follow the prompts to finalise. Your PayPal won't be charged until the date stated in the summary.

Step 9: After confirming, your account will be Australian, so choose your normal Australian address for the Premium Duo/Family as you normally would, and tell your "family" members to enter the same address.

  • Couldn't buy a 6m gift card with Eneba, but the 12m worked. I cancelled my family premium subscription, moved it back to Turkey, and redeemed the gift card. Going to just keep it as an individual premium membership, and keep the account in Turkey. If it stops working, or needs a VPN all the time, I'll move the account back to Australia, and lose a few months access due to the currency conversion.

  • +1

The 12 and 6 months gift cards from Egypt worked for me.

  • Just trying to extend my family plan subscription which is expiring on 12th June which I signed up using the method in OP. Going with the most recent option which is to buy a 12m and 6m Spotify Egypt gift card from Ultimate Choice on Eneba, can I please confirm if I can sign up again before the 12th or do I need to let my premium plan lapse before signing up again?

    • +2

You'll have to wait for the plan to lapse to sign up again and then add everyone to your plan.

  • +1

Still works - definitely need to mark this deal as not expired! Used G2A and India this time, 12 month + 6 month = $64.34 for Spotify Premium Family up until 9/12/24.

Make sure to use PayPal, and then go to your PayPal dashboard to cancel the automatic payment, so you don't get stung like a few others did.

    • Awesome, I need to do this tomorrow. Is that the end date after changing to Australia?

      • Yeah, 6 months

  • Confirming added another 18 months last night via Egypt

    • nice one, i need to do mine in a few days.. did you get your Egypt cards from G2a ?

      • Went with eneba. Same seller on both g2a and eneba, was cheaper on eneba

  • +1

    Confirmed this still works.
Got 12 and 6 month Indian gift cards for $66 from g2a.com and used NordVPN to connect to India.
    Everything went smoothly.

  • +1

Also got this to work yesterday, 12 and 6 month Egypt gift cards from Ultimate Choice on Eneba, Surfshark to VPN to Egypt. Was about $80 including Eneba's service fee. Got about 181 days once I changed to Premium Family.

  • Also confirmed it still works, I used PIA VPN and Gift card from G2A (6 month + 12 month)
Total price was about USD $55 - The family plan is now active until 12th Dec

    • I think (hope) you mean AUD not USD :)

      • Damn. This was 55 USD to Egypt, not India

  • +5

+1 for g2a India 12 + 6 months = $57.59 (look for a bundle down the bottom of the screen after searching Spotify and clicking one of the India options)

    NordVPN to India

    Spotify Premium to 12/12/24

(Pro tip: once you're done, cancel your PayPal auto-renew of Spotify via https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/autopay/)

    • Was 12 and 6 bundle from seller called Premium key.
And did you used AU CC ?

  • +5

Yes!! +1 for the India route. Similar steps as @whodatdere.
I first subscribed through Egypt the last time (back in Nov 2023) and recently got all the messages from Spotify that Premium was coming to an end. So I cancelled Premium to prevent the $23.99 (Family Plan) shock to my PayPal. Then waited until Premium expired and used the method below this afternoon to re-subscribe.

Payment CC : Wise card through PayPal
    VPN Provider : Windscribe
Spotify Premium: till 15/12/2024 (6 months)
    1. Step 1: Cancelled Spotify Premium and waited until expired and account relegated to Spotify Basic Individual.
    2. Step 2: Got the 12 + 6 month bundle Spotify Premium Subscription cards for India at G2A for USD 36.74 (AUD 55.55 as given by XE.
    3. Step 3: Flew to India via Windscribe and followed Steps 4 - 9 (top of page). Replace all mentions of Egypt with India :)
    4. Step 4: Re-invited family and cancel PayPal auto-renew. Thanks to @whodatdere for confirming this is still viable. Hopefully we can keep this going in 6 months time.

    • I couldn't find the 12 + 6 month bundle on G2A.com. Instead I got 3 x 6 months for $64.32 AUD ($21.44 AUD each) from seller Estateium.
Also I used the free Hola VPN Chrome Extension, which has a free 30 minutes VPN to India.

      • +1

If you search for "spotify india" from the top search bar of GSA.com and click on the first result (i.e. 12-month premium), you will then see "Exclusive bundle deals" just at the bottom.

G2A shows 63.32 USD to me for 18months cards

    • worked fine this morning. no issues at all.

  • +1

Can confirmed this worked via India for me this morning. 12 + 6 month codes from G2A. Converted to around 6 months of family premium for just under $60 AUD.

    • Hi there, are you sure it was $60 AUD and not $60 USD? It was $60 USD for flyingpig 5 days before you, and around $60 USD for me today?

      • Can confirm $59.60 AUD was paid to G2A from my PayPal account

  • can we redeem 2x 12+6 months GCs in once to save the effort?

    • Maximum 18 months allowed

  • +1

Price in Egypt has gone up to $62.61 USD or about $97 Australian now.

    • This works in any country, just choose whatever is the cheapest at the time

  • sweet, expiring tmr, just in time. cheers. i still have some money in oldubil, i guess no use for those now?

  • +1

Another success with 18 months of individual using an Indian VPN. AU$52 for the 12+6 month bundle from seller Bellaskeys.

    • Hmmmm I get AU$60.91 with that bundle from Bellaskeys! How did you only get AU$52… what currency did you buy in?

      • Bought in USD (~34.50 for the bundle when I purchased) and used a fee-free credit card for the currency conversion.

        • SOLD OUT!!!! just my luck:(

        • OK, as Bellaskeys 12 month Spotify was Sold Out, the best I could do (using reputable sellers for Spotify Keys) was a combo deal from Buffguru (94%) & Ultimate_choices (100%) with a total of US$38.84 for (12+6 respectively). Using 28 Deg MC via PP… All codes worked and I'm now set for the next 18 months! Happy Days!!

    what i have :
1, expired account that was premium before.
2, nordvpn addon on chrome browser.

what i did to get 18 month.

1, go to G2A without any VPN (somehow with VPN, the G2A site keeps saying my account is banned even tho i am not even logged in), search spotify india, and add the 12month one(first one).

2, on that 12month card page, scroll down a bit, you will see the combo deal 12+6, add that to cart, and click go to cart , Continue to payment, and i pay with my paypal. (it was 40USD charged on my account) and finally you will see this page and click to show keys and save them.

3, turn on vpn to india, go to your spotify account and click 'Edit Profile', an option to set your country to 'India' should appear. click that and save it, now you can go redeem page redeem both key.

4, and finally go to page manage-your-plan you should see something like this (thats mine). And it doesnt look like its gonna auto renew (i am not sure, someone comment on this please, is this the end of the step, or is there anything thats auto renew i should cancel now).

    • Did you have paid nordVPN account or did you use free

    • Just did this on Aug 19 and it worked. Thanks Hornpub for the assist!

    • Worked for me on 19th November 2024.

Purchased: 12 month card from G2A - Seller 'Bellaskeys'
Cost: AUD$29.32 (via PayPal, No international transaction fees on my debit card - USD$18.86)

  • +2

Also did this again successfully with India codes using PureVPN.
Total cost AU$46.56 purchased from Eneba not including 3.2% cashrewards (Fees can be avoided using Eneba Gift cards from prezzee)

  • +2

Gday all. I can happily confirm that the India method is still working.

I wasn't 100% confident at first so what I did was I bought a 1 month India key for $4 AUD from Eneba. I used Windscribe VPN to build my own plan for $3 USD (Indian server only).

With the VPN active, I went to Spotify.com, switched my location to India and successfully redeemed the key.

Since it worked, I went back to Eneba and bought 12 + 6 months for about $60 AUD. I successfully redeemed the 12 months but I because I redeemed that initial 1 month key, I have to wait a month before I can redeem the final 6 months (my fault).

All in all, great success. $60 is a hell of a lot better than the $250 it would have cost.

  • Just did the same, worked a treat. I have been paying full price for 14 years, Turkey 1 year, and now it seems I've moved to india for 18 months!

In of of the other guides I read you could go ahead and change the region back to Oz at the end - would that work for this? The only thing I'm really missing out on is Audiobooks, not a deal killer at all but would be nice.

    • Audiobooks would be awesome. If there is a way to get access to them on Egypt/India Spotify, I am interested

    • +1

If you change it back to Australia I think you will lose some months since it will convert to AUD. The OP mentioned that it will go down to around 12 months (for individual)

  • I'm trying to switch from family to duo (only two of us joined the plan), still giving me the same paypal payment due date? I thought there should be an extra month or two with the duo compared to family?

  • +1

Thanks OP. 18 months via India fo $51.74 AUD (bundle through G2A). I was previously in Turkey and had to change my profile address details to a state in India to allow me to redeem the codes - I chose Maharashtra as that is the state that includes Mumbai, which is where my VPN placed me.

  • Is it safe to switch my Spotify account location from India back to Australia?

  • Thank you OP. India method still works.

Some people have ask if we should switch back from India to Aus.

Has anyone tried it? Thank you

  • Just paid $1.80 AUD for Spotify Premium - Vietnam (Students) for one month.

    Happy Days!

  • Forgot to remove the PayPal authorisation from 6 months ago so got pinged $23.99 for family. Removed the Auth, let it expire. Bought 12+6 Egypt keys from G2A for AUD$70. Used NordVPN chrome extension to change profile location and Nathan's followed the instructions in the OP to convert the fambam back for another 6 months.

India looks cheaper but I was concerned there might be some different hoops to jump through, so I stuck with the guide and Egypt. Still 50% cheaper than AUD.

  • Just added my final 6 month giftcard from G2A ( had previously activated 12 month and another 6 month giftcard)
    Went smoothly using surfshark VPN.
    7 day trial)
Set basically till end 2025 :)

  • Thanks OP. Did this today and it worked. Originally had my premium from Turkey and changed to India. 18 Months for ~ $54 AUD

  • +1

Just used G2A for 12+6 months India for $51. Worked out to be 182 days for Family Plan.

    • 51 AUD?

    • Did you have issues converting to family plan as mine wants payment method.

  • Confirming India much cheaper now

  • Sorry I just want to confirm: Can I keep individual account and change to Australia?

  • I just checked and saw this on G2A: 12 months individual premium for $12.85 (USD I think)??

    Is this legit?

    • Might check the seller's reviews…

      • 91% positive. AUD 19.78.

What surprises me is that it says global, as in can activate in any country. There is a country eligibility selector and regardless what I picked it said I can redeem it in that country.

Just suspicious that it could be that cheap with zero hoops to jump through, given that everyone else needed to pay way more and use VPN…

Tempted to risk it but throwing away 20 bucks isn't the OzB way lol

        • +1

@mathemagician You find this is not a code but probably an account. They probably send you login details.

          • @Mikael: Thanks! I asked again below and got exactly this response.

  • I successfully got the code and redeemed today, I bought 12+6 months bundle. Before I changed the country back to Australia, it said my subscription expires on 1 Feb 26 which is right, but when I changed the country to Austalia, now it says it expires 10 June 25, which I lost about 7 months, can someone tell me why this happened? Did I do something wrong?

    • You are getting charged in AUD which is more expensive and therefore reduces length of time

      • I sort of knew that but didn't expect it cut me off like 7 months

        • As an individual account you did not have to change it back to Australia as per the big Note in the post. Otherwise it will convert the currency of the total plan and result in less months. This needs to be done for family/duo accounts only (Family goes down to 6 months total).

          • @wangasm: If I change it back to India (where I bought the code), would it increase the length of time again?

            • @KL17: I'm not sure, I haven't seen anyone go the other way with a plan.

  • Gonna try asking again: what about these sellers on G2A who sell 12-month global Spotify premium subscriptions for 20-ish AUD and have 90%+ positive ratings? Example here

Anyone tried them? No jumping through hoops with VPN and whatnot and way cheaper than the Egypt option. Real or too good to be true?

    • +1

Read the product description. They are selling Spotify accounts not codes.
Ie. they will send you a username/password to a random account.

If you are fine with using a new account every 12 months, I guess it could be ok. But I imagine most people (like me) would rather pay more to keep the same account.

      • Oh I didn't read it like that. Makes sense, thanks!

  • Has anyone done a renewal for family plan once the gift card has lapsed?

Looking to see if we just need to VPN it back to India/Egypt and redeem again - rinse and repeat.

Edit: Just realised that the only way to change countries is to be on Spotify Free. Otherwise, the option to change countries will be grey out.

    • Correct, you have to let it lapse, change it to desired country via VPN and repeat the process

    • Yes I have done it, you have to wait until your subscription fully ends (no auto-renewal). Then you just repeat the same process with VPN as in the post

Can confirm India route still worked for me. Used NordVPN and giftcard bundle (12+6 Months) from G2A. Paid US$32.84 for the bundle. Roughly AU$50.

    • Also got 12months yesterday from g2a. Got code instant.

Nordvpn, Changed country from turkey to India, redeemed code. Was gonna convert to duo but need Indian card. Not sure why. No biggie. Mine was $34 for 12months. Used usd in g2a and PayPal.

    • +1

Can confirm for me too. Thanks for notifying so I could try again.

Just bought a couple 12M India keys from Premium__key on G2A. Codes arrived straight away and no problems redeeming.

  • confirmed, just worked 12+6m cards from g2a Egypt with NordVPN Eygpt. thanks OP, family spotify till 12/feb/2025

    • Same and costed $52aud all up

I can confirm I used a 12 and 6 month Indian code and worked no issues. Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP. 12 and 6 month Indian cards redeemed okay. Total was €31.61 EUR / $54.35 AUD from ENEBA.

  • +1

thank you OP. Bought 6m Eygpt from G2A, code arrived instantly, and NordVPN to Egypt and activated with no issue. Cheers!

    Hi,
Can anyone please confirm if this deal is still valid and will work? TIA

  • Bought 3x 6 months Egypt on Eneba for $45 USD / $66 AUD. Not as cheap as others but didn't want to wait for cheaper.

    • Hey mate did this work for you without any issues? I tried the 1 year voucher and it didn't. Maybe only 6 months is allowed now

  • Bought a 12 month voucher from g2a (Egypt) but it's not working "Unfortunately, this Premium subscription code appears to be incorrect. Please try again later or contact customer service."

    • Did you first change your account’s region to Egypt before trying to redeem?

      • Yep :( really frustrating. I should of just bought the 6 month voucher maybe that would have worked

        • @sleeperc3ll What VPN? I used Nord to India and that worked. Maybe create a new account and try? Know it sucks but saw somewhere ways to share playlists.

          • @Mikael: NordVPN. This is for Egypt, and I've used it successfully in the past. This time seems to be giving me an issue.

Also i thought Nord didn't work for India anymore?

            • @sleeperc3ll: I used it for my India12th August. Changed from turkey to India. Maybe they changed since like Ms Xbox.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Would + if I could. Well written instructions.
Followed the instructions - was a bit more expensive now, I paid about 70AUD on Eneba for three 6 month Egypt keys. Bought one first and tested it and it added fine so bought two more. Used my existing Surfshark account for VPN. I switched it to an Australian Duo account - the title says 243 days but when I made the change it's given me until 27 July 2025, which is 326 days, so that's even better, works out at about $3.22 each per month. Happy days.

  • @siberry Good morning bro, I really appreciate people like you in these forums. I have a question. I buy directly with a PayPal Egypt and change to family but when I put the PayPal I get an error that says "return to the store and try with another payment method" I don't know if you have a solution for that type of ban.

  • +2

+1 (cannot actually vote as it has been more than 180 days).

I was previously on a Brazil plan that expired today so I bought 3 x 6 months Egypt gift cards from G2A and followed the steps above and it worked well. I used Nord VPN as I already had that from a cash back deal posted here. It cost me AUD $78 and have Family plan until 07/06/2025 which is 269 days (even better than the title). Or roughly $8.66 per month for family. Or $1.44 per person per month.

  • Anyone having issues adding a family member?

My old Turkey subscription had to restart because I cancelled my original credit card but now when I tried to add new family members with Turkey setting in Account and VPN set to Turkey I get the error saying you’re in a different country?

    • Try a different VPN, Turkey VPNs are really hit and miss with being detected. I've had success with UrbanVPN for Turkey before (free)

  • On g2a the egypt 12 months card is coming up as $124 aud, and other sites are out of stock.. tried browsing in chrome and ddg, with egypt vpn and without.. did i miss the boat?

  • Oh man, Egypt keys are all sold atm :( Anyone know how quickly they usually are back in stock?

Cheapest option currently for 18 months is the 6-month Brazil one: 3x $31.71 = $95.16. That's a big jump from the $50-something reported by most for the Egypt option…
