  • I had this with Turkey then they only accepted Turkish cards. I suspect this will happen again.

    • This deal was around a few months back and came back again, it seems they just make it difficult but not fully stop us.

    • I think all these companies do a flush out every year or so, whether it's Google, Apple Netflix, Disney, etc. Just wait until the fuss has died down and try again if not luck, try another country. If I hadn't already switched to another country, I reckon Nigeria YT would be the cheapest.

  • Is Nigeria the cheapest country?

    • I believe Turkey is cheaper, but has card restrictions, from memory. Argentina also cheaper, but also card restrictions.

Cheapest i've found so far that works as it bills in USD and accepts any card

  • I got a year of apple music for under $18 in gobbleland.

I.got a solo sub's, but it seems to work across multiple devices (Iphones, android, several echo speakers).

    • tidal works with tidal-dl though and is FLAC files

    • gobbleland.

      Turkey? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • Guessing u don't need VPN once signed up?

And anyone used one of these non local tidal accounts with Serato?

    • Don't need once signed up

  • Pulling the ultimate Nigerian scam on Tidal. Nice 👌

    • You need to listen to the song, otherwise you can't claim your lottery winnings.

    • But I am a Nigerian prince what do you mean????????

  • +2

Nice one OP. Been deliberating on tidal for a while. Now I am officially a Nigerian.

  • So we're scamming the Nigerians now 🤣🤣

    • We already scam Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Argentina, India… Just adding to the list

They will eventually trace your IP and get you to pay the correct regional price. Worse yet if you tried to cancel they'd take away your access right away REGARDLESS of when you make that month's payment.

Had to do a chargeback via my bank.

    • Didn't happen to me last time https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/867207, but I used it in multiple countries and was actually travelling

      • Yup that was from that post. Out of the trial period they started to charge me the full Australia subs price. I got charged and that was how I found out about it.

So it might not happen to everyone but just cancel it before the trial ends and/or jump to a new email account for the discount.

        • Odd, I've used it multiple times with no issue

also cancelled instantly and it says

You will still have access to Max sound quality, personalized mixes and editorial playlists, and all of TIDAL’s benefits until 08/04/2025.

        • Why cancel it at $2.50usb a month. Still a bargain.

          • @NSM1986: Ripped the songs I wanted via tidal-dl (there's a git for it)

  • though stopped working for a bit

I've been using this one for a long time now. Don't believe it stopped working.

    • It did for at least a few weeks, hence deal getting marked expired. Kept giving unexpected error at payment page.

Tested today and it's working again so reposted

The ~$2.60 deal always works, but the $0.50 for 60 day deal stopped for a bit
