This deal is back and a tad cheaper than before. This is the successor to the previously popular Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021 with features including an OLED panel that's no longer pentile, 120Hz refresh rate, Widevine L1 DRM for Netflix HD and video out via USB-C 3.2. The MediaTek Kompanio 1300T is a flagship CPU that performs on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 CPU.

Other features include Android 12 / ZUI (Android 13 / ZUI 14 via OTA), 11.2" 2560x1536 OLED display with 600nits brightness, HDR10+ & Dolby Vision, 128GB UFS 3.1 Storage (microSD support), 8200mAh battery with 30W fast charging, 4 JBL Speakers with Dolby Atmos, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and POGO pins for charging/keyboard.

For reviews Techtablets has praised this tablet with the downside being no headphone jack.

Please note: Add "Color: Original Sealed" to the cart, as the "Global ROM" is a seller stitched ROM from another tablet which is unresponsive, receives no OTA updates, no Widevine L1 DRM and no fast charging. Only the colour Amber is available in Original Sealed condition.

  • Is it worth losing cashback using the JULYOT14 coupon? Or would the B5JT7I invalidate it too despite being a seller coupon?

e: i.e. can we wait for a flash cashback increase?

    • AliExpress and Seller coupons are pushed hard to affiliate partners. You won't lose cashback if with them. This listing however is unaffiliated so you wouldn't get it.

      • Are you sure? It seemed to work for me when I used https://portals.aliexpress.com/linkchecker.htm

        • Interesting their API is reporting that it's 0%, however they did recently move to a new platform so it could be a bug. Either way coupons are fine.

Software on these is awful and updates are basically non existent but I guess for the price it’ll do the job of watching movies

    • Other features include Android 12 / ZUI (Android 13 / ZUI 14 via OTA),

I disagree. Support hasn't ended for this model either.

    • I have the snapdragon version, last updated I got OTA was maybe 5 weeks ago.
It will get android 13 this year.

      • A year after release , lol

        • I guess it's reflected in the price, can't say I notice all that much difference between Android 13 on my pixel and Android 12 on my xiaoxin

  • Tempting, but given the gen 1 model had atrocious 60hz flicker I'll wait until their claims of 2khz PWM are confirmed. Seriously, how do you even release a device with 60hz flicker in 2021. That's budget CRT monitor tier.

Edit: I found reviews for the P11 Pro Gen 2. Is that the same model?

    • P11 Pro Gen 2 is the international version. Hardware is the same except the international doesn't fast charge as quickly.

  • From the description, Original Sealed is the "China" version which doesn't come with Google Play Service
Which means it does not even come with Google play store?
Besides, just feeling the warranty of the tab will be minimum to none….

Getting Google Play on there is easy. You turn the Google services on in the settings, then through the Lenovo app market download Google Play.

      • Any idea if the driver support, particularly for VPN drivers and tethering, is any worse for China roms? I connect my current tablet with usb which lets me do reverse-tethering and charging at the same time.

        • ZUI lets you tether but I don't know for certain if there's any issues.

  • @Clear Thanks for the post. I would actually prefer the grey colour, do you know if you can flash the China rom back on? I do remember I did it on the 2021 model though it was a headache.

    • +1

There is a post about it here on xda. I think if you went the second option under "Summary ROM for TB132FU" and did an update firmware instead of format it would work and retain Widevine L1. Certainly seems like a headache.

  • Found some actual info about this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tb132fu-faq-and-how-tos.4…

Tl;dr - there's currently no way to install the international ROM on these. The ones that claim to have it are fake and buggy. The Chinese ROM may be ok depending on your use case but has some limitations.

You're just repeating what someone else has already said.

  • Anyone know if you can play Netflix whilst connected to a TV? I'm sick of connecting my phone (to get around the 1 household stuff).

  • +1

Pretty much a Chinese version p11 pro gen 2.

  • How are you supposed to pronounce that? My tongue isn't that flexible!

    • +1

Shaw.. with the a as pronounced in apple. And the shin. As in your shin bone.

    • Shower

      Shower me

      • yes sir. I'll shower you harder.

  • Is there a stylus option for these? Thinking of replacing an iPad which has the apple pencil gen 2 and hoping this has something comparable

    • +1

I have 2021 version and bought the pen and it was very jaggy in a lot of apps. Obviously was less than half the price but I expected the difference to be in sensitivity or responsiveness.

Not sure if there is a newer pen version but if you watch the techtablets reviews or similar they demo the pen. Have a closer look.

    Chinese lemobade

  • I have the 8/128GB original Chinese ROM version from Giztop (uses SD870 chipset instead of the Mediatek) and I like it a lot; very snappy, screen looks nice, tablet updates fine, have no problems loading up Playstore (Giztop actually preinstalls it for you) or any other apps that I use, don't have Netflix but Prime Video runs at full HD no issue, also my first foray into console emulation and it seems to do pretty well there too.

  • Considering that the cost is in line with the 9th generation iPad, how does it compare for a device for light activity - watching videos and general surfing.

I assume the ipad would have a longer software support lifetime?

    • Cons and pros. For media consumption this should be better than the 9th generation ipad. A nice 120 hz oled screen with nice quad tablet speaker setup. I had an ipad pro, and I rather watch videos on my old Android tablet because of OLED screen and aspect ratio is better served for media consumption. Surfing the web, rather do that on the iPad though. The different aspect ratio better for displaying websites. Also with the iPad you have applications made to take advantage of the extra screen real estate as opposed to applications designed for phones that are just blown up on the bigger screen. The 9th generation is the base model and around a couple of years old, I'd assume it will probably get more os updates than this.

  • How to get the price down to $406.07? I cant get it past $420.38 - using coupons above

    • US$ price is still correct. Either AliExpress is set to AUD or you're letting PayPal do a conversion. If you have a currency conversion free card, use that in PayPal and click "See currency options" to bill it in USD to get the actual exchange rate.

      • Thanks Clear, appreciate it. Ill change to USD

  • Has the JULYOT14 coupon expired?

It keeps saying the promo code is invalid for me.

    • Seems to have been made ineligible on this product sadly.

  • Seems to be back at $391.94 AUD (or $246.40 USD => 379.02 AUD) from another seller: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004836940849.html

Seems slightly different, maybe doesn't support netflix?

    • Also 254.37 USD from the original link posted in the OP after coupon

Ah, but there is no more "original sealed"

    • +1

First paragraph on the description tells you why you shouldn't go for it. There's no official firmware so they've slapped a ROM from a completely different Lenovo tablet on-top. You'll get an unlocked bootloader, no updates, buggy ROM and no Netflix HD.

      • Thanks, just realised this as well.

      • hi Clear, do you know of a solution to fix it? I would really like to get this one since it is OLED.
