Doh! fair call… haha don't know if i can remove my own one….
Gosh stuff is so cheap these days. (plus thanks to ozbargain too find some great stuff!)
As a general rule, cheap tripods are a complete waste of money. (The cheap build quality work in complete opposition to the intended task.)
I was thinking upgrading to some on camerasdirect.com.au Manfrotto one's… are they well priced? or cheaper somewhere else?
A mate uses manfrotto and they are pretty nice, I wouldn't risk my camera gear using an el-cheapo tripod like this.
I saw one manfrotto tripod on gumtree selling for $80, looks like digital camera warehouse sells the same for $110, plus shipping. Seems like a pretty good deal.

it was $60 delivered http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/73863
Yeah, that was a great deal, but unfortunately it's over now.
Cheap tripods are good for people to learn to use tripods indoors and on firm, protected surfaces - I got one of these from Bing Lee closing down for $15 a few years ago, and it has been just fine as a backup unit to my much nicer Manfrotto (such as for people using point and shoot on timer while I'm using an SLR).
Though I wouldn't be rushing out to buy this one just because it's only $21… If you do want one, it's definitely better than paying $50+ for the cheapest crap tripod from most Australian retailers.
I had one of these. Only good for indoors. I had to replace mine and bought a Benro.
