    $429 is too much for a 7th gen laptop. The 8th gen intel had big improvements, and has been here around that price.

      Respect your opinion but the listed laptop has a i7 processor and 512GB SSD which is quite useful. Not everyone will need the processing power. To compare we similar have a similar one probably with better specs:

        Benchmarks are better on the newer i5, though not massively. How about battery life?

        And you can't be comparing a Latitude 5-series to an Elitebook? Some people will appreciate the touchscreen though.

          Well, it's those corporations that still order these garbage screens that are responsible for the market being flooded with those second hand crap screens. Should they actually value their employees they would avoid these.

    429 is too much for a dual core CPU on 2023. You can spend less and get quad core i5 8th gen.
