Copying from previous deal - I've been eyeing this the last few weeks and the best that's been on offer is the 30% off coupon so not as good as previous deals (that said the last time this was posted it was $486.30 but pretty sure that was a mistake pricing and they forgot to up the price when the coupon went live…). Ended up pulling the trigger last night on this when the same 30% off code reset itself with a new expiry.

Both silver and grey available with the 30% off coupon.

Great for bees and people trying to save Zelda.

great self contained deal and a beastly workstation that does games well….
My BD595i deal (7945HX based) at $639 isn't a huge amount faster for single core!….
the $200 delta doesn't cover RAM, PSU, CASE and a basic graphics card….

Really, for light gaming, this deal is a steal!
else, spend a little more for something larger, better expandability and out of the box worse for grapgics!

    • Haha yeah might remember me asking a few things in that deal…but I think now for my purposes I'd almost rather pay a little more for 2 separate minipcs instead of one bigger one - will be easier to "manage". Even though the cost will be higher.

Plus if I want to migrate this to the living room this would make a better HTPC/gaming one because of the much better iGPU (780M vs 610M).

There are cheaper broadly equivalent performance minipcs (minisforum, GMK etc with 7745HS/8745HS and 32GB RAM) but their build quality and thermal properties don't seem to be as good as this Beelink. If can live with the wireless issues then I'd rather pay the extra $100-150 for Beelink.

    • I'm trying to work out if any of these will give better graphics performance than a 10 year old GTX950 and can replace the box-o-parts the kids use.

  • The previous deal from GMKtec K8 plus 8845HS 32GB 2TB for $683.99 is a much better deal.

    • you mean the expired one that WAS a better deal?

Or THIS , from November last year?

That was a good deal too, but it only has 32GB, 1TB, 1xUSB4.0 vs K8 plus 32GB, 2TB, 2 x USB4.0 and Oculink. But damn good price for $499.

  • Would make an amazing retro/emulation pc

    • +3

absolute overkill specs for that purpose, I believe
This is good enough to be a decent workstation (unless you need hi spec graphics)

Has been on watch list for a while. If you check price history, 30% off coupon is available too often.

  • Be careful with these. I have one and the Bluetooth range is terrible. For an emulation box you will need to augment it with other gear for useable controllers etc.

Eg I use an external usb hub and external Bluetooth dongle. This disables wifi so I need to use ethernet.

    • Yeah I read those comments in a lot of places, luckily have a spare USB wifi antenna thing, and for anything else I'm fairly sure I have a spare USB-C expander.

  • I have been wanting a mini pc like for a while but I’m so hesitated because of its size. I will use it for work most of time but also want to do some gaming sometimes, not sure what kind of game it can run up to

    • 780M iGPU is surprisingly capable - have a look at some reviews.

  • Hoping for a good deal on Ryzen AI 365

    • Currently any Ryzen AI chip are damn expensive.

    • Depending on your use case may not be any faster than these chips

  • Anyone know is it come with window system or need to be installed? thanks.

    • Comes with W11 I believe

    • Even if it comes with Windows you should format the drive immediately (before connecting to your network or connecting any USB storage devices) and reinstall Windows yourself!

You have no idea what’s been installed out of the box. You would be insane to trust the install of Windows.

  • How would this perform in streaming from 4k 7900xtx PC to my TV via Moonlight? I am not on ethernet, just Wifi 6.

    • +1

If purely for streaming then it's overkill. An N100 would suffice.

It has wifi 6 but I can't see an external antenna port.

But, since this has a 780m you can probably install Bazzite. Decky Loader + MoonDeck Plugin and you'll be set.

Edit: I think a Fire TV stick will do the job if streaming is all you're after.
