Just got a 128GB in white. It's an Aussie service provider so unless stated, assume it's local stock (and new). I plan on buying AppleCare+ for it so it better be.
If it's not new / Aussie stock, paid with my AMEX who are easier to deal with than most CC companies when dealing with shoddy charges/goods not as described.

Well, I’m an existing amaysim customer and my prepaid plan expired a few days ago. I ordered this deal and my 250GB started straight away. It’s gonna be hard for them to cancel this deal for me I guess 🤣
The risk is they refund the phone cost and you're stuck with the $125/90day plan which might be costlier than what you would normal pay
They can’t do that. Refund it all or nothing. They can’t pick and choose 😝
That's why I think they might let you keep the plan especially if you've already used it…They get to keep the customer for 90 days at least.

I would like to imagine that attempts to not supply the phone but enforce the three month plan with trickery such as " So you want to cancel (see terms and conditions)" would only be considered by a company that was planning to leave the market anyway…
Terms and conditions clearly state they are bundled (phone and plan) and must be purchased together. They probably made it this way so people can't refund the plan and keep the phone, but this will work as a safeguard to argue that they either supply us with both or none.
Yeah you don't want to deal with 1 ozbargainer who feels they've been ripped off, let alone 10,000.
I feel like this deal is binary, we either all get our mini iPhone then complain about the battery life or we all/most just get refunded the whole amount and we pretend this never happened.
Make sure you dont activate the esim on another phone and start using. Otherwise there is valid argument to refund the phone but not the plan.
Just FYI, I looked through JB Hi-fi trade-in for Iphone 12 Mini with no functional and cosmetic defects for below value:
Iphone 12 Mini 64GB: $290
Iphone 12 Mini 128GB: $320

So many people have talked to someone on their chat and called.. there’s no way this is a pricing error or anything. They know too well what’s happening. Deal is over shortly and maybe they’re gonna flog the remaining ones even cheaper any time soon 😝
So, do you spend nearly half the cost and add applecare for $200ish, and enjoy a ~$650 phone that you can use without a case and bash around, play hackysack with and use as a hammer.
Until eventually waking up on a Sunday morning, facedown in a gutter with a pounding headache and only brief flashes of memory from the night before, in a pool of (hopefully) your own vomit and the scattered pieces of your precious iphone 12 mini. And as you shield your eyes from the blinding light of the morning sun, you look through the throngs of joggers and brunch diners to see the Apple store. And you walk in, pay $150, and walk out with a brand new phone, fresh and ready to do it all again.
But that's only slightly cheaper than buying a backup phone. Or I dunno, a case

So I just checked the website and the green 128 and 256 GB are showing as out of stock. Earlier this arvo at about 2.30 when I ordered mine, they were both in stock.
So the stock they have are definitely being depleted.
Why they have so many leftover stock is another question. I guess the 12 mini never sold well.
It's been only blue for the 256gb for ages now, that's why everyone is saying they got a blue 256gb, lol. But green 128gb went out of stock earlier and now white 128gb out of stock too.
I really wanted to get red 128 but got white 128. Oh well. But shortly after white sold out.

so reading some of the comments about orders finally going through several hours later, i decided to chance it and order another 256gb blue. this time, got an order number and confirmation email. the first $474 pending charge from lunch time is still hanging there in my account. amaysim haven't called me back when they said they would. suppose i won't really lose if i ended up with two phones but it would be better to know either way

I don’t understand the “ID is required on delivery”. How exactly will they police that? I’ve never had a delivery ever ask for ID to match anything. They’re always drop and run or “sign here” with a Mr squiggle.

A lot of companies like Auspost and StarTrack also use ID LOCK method where they wont deliver without recording your ID no. If you don't have an ID on you at the time of delivery, they take it to the local post office where you will show ID.
Hopefully it just means “we cannot leave this at your door”

I highly doubt they would get away with that with the TIO it would be dead easy to get out of. They’d pay a case fine higher than the value made.
This just seems to be a off loading of excess iPhone 12 minis from Optus or something else. And good for amaysim as they get to sell an overpriced plan for 90 days and hope people will keep paying for it.
I suspect that is illegal unless of course we have agreed to something we did not read in the terms and conditions.
