  • Thanks OP

Now to sell my brand new AppleCare 12 Pro Max!

  • +2

Still using my iphone 7 as a spare phone. Very tempted!

    • +2

      DO IT, DO IT!

      • +1

Ah what the hell, ok! Realized my iphone 7 at the dreaded 82% battery life too, lol. Got one, just wish more colours available for 256gb.

        • It’s a good thing you did because it’s now OOS 🏆

    • +2

      Definitely buy one!

  • -7

Thank you. Bought one. This is my first iphone as I did not buy phones made in China. But too cheap to resist.

    • Lol where do with think this is made?

  • +1

    succumbed to temptation. darn it.

    • How can you not? it's ridiculous at this price.

  • +3

Asked on chat they are Australian Model.
Blue 256GB ordered. Might sell my 13 pro max 256gb.
    Time to try something smaller.

    • Same here, way too good to pass up!

    • +2

I have a mini and think a bigger phone would be good.. maybe the standard iphone is the happy middle

    • Time to try something smaller.

My wife and I were having the same conversation recently…….
      …..we’re thinking of downsizing😉

  • +1

    Insane deal, thanks OP!
    Blue 256gb ordered.

  • +1

I just ordered another one 256gb as I just realized I had 188gb of photo and video in my existing phone.

Can I sell the 128gb one unopened consider it's unlocked and totally disregard the eSim come with it?

    • sure, or just go the app chat and cancel it.

      • So I need to go the app chat to cancel the eSim before I can sell the phone? Why is that as I thought the phone is unlocked? Or does the eSim is somewhat connected to the phone???

        • no I meant if you didn't want the phone

          • @FriarTuck: You can cancel the transaction if I didn't want the phone? Really? I thought you can't cancel?

      • +1

Strangely the rep in chat said they cannot cancel orders. If you meant orders by "it".

    • Just back your photos up & delete from phone?

  • +2

For those who bought, my daughter has had one for 18 months and gets a hammering, battery is on 87%.
Will be fine for light users.

    • Yes, iPhone 13 mini does have a better battery and cooling system resulting in better longevity, but at this price (new!), it's a steal.

  • i bought the white 128gb, thank u sm! such a good deal

  • Anyone else not receive the email confirmation? I did receive can order confirmation and took a screenshot.

  • Almost bought an SE earlier today. Glad I didn't.

  • +1

Any idea if they do these discounts for android phones? Not to be that guy but I'm just more used to android rather than apple.

  • -1

How does eSim work guys? Can the phone be sold straight away or is it tied to your account?

    • yeah wondering too

    • -1

Of course the scalper are out in force. 💩

      • Of course you assume we don't have friends/family.

        • +1

Selling to your friends and family? 🤣

  • +1

need battery replacement for old phone, but now buy this instead.
    crazy deal

  • Great deal, ordered one. But 11,000 clicks (I know only a fraction of those would actually follow through with a purchase), 500 up votes, and the website has been getting hammered for hours…I hope their inventory software accurately reflects actual stock.

    • Good point.
You would be livid if your order gets cancelled on you.

  • Thanks OP, just picked one up to relapse my iPhone 11

  • +1

Lost my iPhone XS Max on NYE and got a cheap shit motorola, will be very happy to get back onto Apple, just means I have to push the PC components back :(

  • +2

I just called them to confirm you’re not locked into anything, because it does ask for a credit card and says you’ll be charged again in three months. Amaysim customer service confirmed you just cancel in your account so you’re not committed to keep paying.

  • +5

DON'T NEED ONE BUT BOUGHT ONE!!

    • +3

      This is the way.

    • Good shout, thanks for sharing

  • Just managed to place an order for a blue 256GB on the fourth attempt. It timed out earlier in the afternoon.

  • Purchased another Blue 256gb.
They must be absolutely stockpiled with this variant.

  • +1

How long do you have to activate the SIM? And I can't seem to find a cancel options for the 3 months plan, where is it located?

  • I just replaced the battery in my SE 2020 but this was too good a deal to pass up. Officeworks seems to be willing to give me $200 for the SE though.

  • +4

For comparison, have a look at how much Amazon AU are selling the 256gb for…

    Green: https://www.amazon.com.au/Apple-iPhone-12-Mini/dp/B08MWQ7K78…
    Purple: https://www.amazon.com.au/Apple-iPhone-12-Mini/dp/B09L7QJVBG…
    Black: https://www.amazon.com.au/Apple-iPhone-12-Mini/dp/B08MWRCBWP…
    Red: https://www.amazon.com.au/Apple-iPhone-12-Mini/dp/B08MWR7L5C…
    Blue: OOS
    White: Non existent

If you're procrastinating, don't. Buy now, think later.

    Mad props to you OP!

    • +3

They're $2 more than an iphone 13 mini? Odd pricing

  • How long they take to ship?

    • +1

I'm guessing it's 1 business day, using StarTrack like Optus main, given the ID requirement. Shall report back.

  • +4

Don't even need one but bought one. Any ideas for what to do with it?

    • +1

well done!! i am the same

    • I’ll pm my address

    • +1

      same here
thinking of either selling it or wait for a good trade in offer

    • Use it for your side hustle.

    • +1

      Use it for booty calls

    • new uber eats account

  • +2

Thanks Amaysim, back to the mini iPhone we go! Brilliant price.

  • +1

Got the 256gb but wondering if should also get the 128gb in case their inventory levels are wrong as dont want to miss out!

  • +2

I just paid out my Telstra 13 max 256gb I got on release for $670, add the the mini 256 for $474, should be able to get $12-1300 selling the 13 max.

  • Is anyone experiencing something similar to this? I bought the 12 mini on my phone, and I'm stuck at the pay section. The wheel keeps spinning, and when I click the redirect link, it links back to the same page. I tried going to my account using the login I created before, and it says page not found. Here's a screenshot of what's happening.

    • +1

      Got any emails?

      • Nothing yet, forget to mention that

    • +1

Happened to me and my purchase didn't go through. I went back and did all the steps again and the 2nd try went through without a problem. Received email confirmation in a few seconds.

      • Ah okay, will give that a try. Thank you

    • I got a email saying order could not be completed. Do I order the same iPhone 12 mini blue 256gb again? Or do I play it safe and buy a 128gb model

  • +2

didn't need one but bought 256 GB blue as a back up)) ohhhhhhh

  • +1

I have the iPhone mini already and love the size! Perfect phone. If not for the battery decline. Got one for me mum.

  • looks like most 256gb ones are gone
    picked up an 128gb model
    thanks OP

    • Yep, only Blue left, strangely.

  • the phone plan is not amazing though

    • +1

Most people aren't buying for the plan, even without the plan, $400 for the phone is well worth it.

      • -5

the battery life. the small screen. more like a clearance

      • Exactly right.

  • Wow 12479 clicks. Assuming if those translate to sales, that is nearly $5M in total sales today. 🫣

    • RBA will be watching closely :/

Have an iphone 13 mini I bought recently for around $850 odd new. If I had seen this deal, may have gone for it instead, not sure the 13 is a big enough upgrade (but then, I'm coming from android land).

    • +3

It’s literally advertised as “brand new iPhone” on their website.

      https://www.amaysim.com.au/plans/devices/apple/

      • +2

Haters trying to deter people from buying 🤦‍♂️

      • -1

The literally part certainly makes it slightly less unbelievable

    • +1

Many retailers still selling them. Including Amazon.

  • +4

For those asking, the eSIM isn’t tied to the new iPhone.

It’s just a QR code that you scan on the device that you want to activate it on.

  • +2

Much cheaper than you can find even on FB Marketplace

    • I know right? Deal of the year and it’s only February lol.

      • +1

100% probably the best deal I've seen on Ozbargain for a long time and I'm a daily lurker

        • The jbhifi phone deals from 3 to 4 years were better. People ended up with free phones after cancelling plans straight away

          • @mlburnian: Yeah, I got my last iPhone off a solid deal from JB like… 4 years ago.

  • Can i use the sim after 3 months.. I don’t need it immediately.. it says plan starts immediately

    • I highly doubt you can “freeze” the plan but no harm in asking them.

    • 30 days as per comments above

  • +1

How is it still not going out of stock??

    • +2

      I know, I’m especially concerned about Blue 256gb 🤨
I smell of lot of refunds incoming.
