Don't know who they have price matched with but seems like a good price as almost color options are available except Space Grey. Wish I had bought those Celebration Gift cards at Coles which were 15% off, extra savings for those who are overdosed from recent TCN gift card sales.

lol.. fixed
Still showing as able to order for me?
Fixed as in fixed the title
My bad haha
This model has the 10 core GPU which with the 512GB storage, is the main diff between it and the base model 8 core GPU 256GB model. The CPU in both has the same 8 cores.
The other thing is the 512GB is in two chips and thus storage speed is a bit faster.
RRP for this M2 512GB 8 core CPU/10 core GPU @ $2349 compared with base model RRP $1899. Officeworks has the base 256GB M2 8 core CPU 8 core GPU MBA @$1707.
Computers these days really need at least 16GB of RAM. But that model costs a lot.
Well it is the MBA.
8GB in an M2 with MacOS is probably fine for most buyers of this machine. If you need more probably more in the MBP market.
Isn't this deal way better?
I don’t think I would buy the 13 inch MBP, or recommend it to anyone. Better to pretend the 13 inch MBP doesn’t exist as the MBA is a better machine. If you want an MBP get the 14 or 16 inch versions.
It does feel like the model does exist for pricing strategy and to push people up to the next tier.
This was $2004 at Officeworks just last week :(
14” Pro 16GB/512GB was available for similar price with 15% off gift cards..
Older chipset though
Older but more performing and better display
You could use the gift cards on either system - $370.60 difference between the two.
That would be my pick
