      " A Nespresso member account is required to make purchases on the Nespresso website, Nespresso app or via Nespresso on 1800 623 033."

      • The Participating Retailers are:

        a) Nespresso Boutique;

        b) Nespresso via phone on 1800 623 033;

        c) The Nespresso Website at www.nespresso.com.au; or

        d) The Nespresso mobile app.

        • You're looking at the wrong promotion.

          Search for Vertuo Next & Aeroccino3

          • @HomeAlone: They are the worst terms. Is there a cashback? It looks like you can claim coffee credit under offer 2 but so unclear. What do you think?

            The $100 or $80 discounts are provided in the form of a discount at the point of purchase. The $100 or $80 discount o# is not transferable and cannot be converted cash.

    These machines take the "Vertuo" pods which are more expensive and have no substitutes from other brands AFAIK.

  • So is there a $100 cashback on top of $139 price and then also claim coffee credit worth $60 ?

  • +2

    FYI, getting cashback from them is like getting blood from a stone.
    Me and a bunch of others are still trying to get our cashback from the last promo: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13014316/redir

    Have seen video of vittor tech on YouTube, describing tons of issues with Nespresso next lineup

      Leaks within 3 months

  • Before you buy one of these, watch this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO06RC4pvr0&ab_channel=James…

    It's frothing the coffee by spinning the pod, that's it.

    • Yes but that's not a bad thing either. Adds texture

      • Can get the same effect with a stick blender 😃

        • True but doesn't seem to be a valid reason for a negative vote

          • @0 0 0: Since you asked and in the hope of preventing anyone else who searches for these from making a costly mistake, this is from the transcript of the video link I pasted above:

            This whole technology is around locking you in, not letting you buy coffee from anywhere else, making sure that you're spending your hundreds of dollars with them and no one else, and yeah, they're trying to offer you an unusual beverage in terms of a foamy filter coffee, and it does taste pleasant, but it's not special in terms of extraction. That coffee can be brewed other ways. You know, you can create a very similar result quite easily. If you've got a stick blender at home, you're not far away from the same experience if you want to know what fluffy, nice-tasting filter coffee is like without having to use a system like this.

            • @CaptainCoolio: Meh, same argument could be had for buying a luxury car vs a Toyota. Or a fancy insert thing here vs a Kmart version. Not a valid neg vote reason. Compare a $100 espresso machine vs a Breville dual boiler fancy machine. Both make coffee, etc. Maybe the temperature extraction profile is slightly different but does that justify a 10 times price premium?

  • I have the Next as well as the original Vertuo with the motorised mechanism. The Next mechanism is manual and very stiff. Requires a lot of force and would be terrible if you have arthritis. Only benefit is it takes the large pour over style pods which gives you a carafe over 500ml of coffee

  • I got the Vertuo Plus as of this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/737230

    Tried to claim the cashback and get an error saying the Serial on the machine doesn't exist, when I called Nespresso about it I was told the machine was ineligible for the cashback.

      At least you got the better machine with the automatic mechanism

      • Still not super happy about it though …
