  IMO - you shouldn't be spending this sort of coin on a quad core 11th gen CPU. It's slower than a 12th gen i3. Not that great of a deal

    I think you can find this in some cheaper HP pavilion laptops but not in this form factor. Would only be a like-like comparison if this was available in this form factor.

  I've had terrible luck with Lenovo lately.

  Reported my son's Legion 5 not posting on Friday 18th. Got SMS and email confirming an appointment on Thur 24th, and the technician didn't show up, call, SMS or email. Part was then reported to be on backorder and they estimated the "onsite event" was to happen today - a Sunday. Yeah right.

  On Tuesday 22nd I ordered a Legion 7 Gen 6 on sale that was estimated to ship the next day. I contacted support to ask if it would ship on Thur 24th and they said they'd get back to me by the end of the day. At around 7pm today (Sun 27th) they cancelled the order and sent me an email with the BS line "Therefore, we can help you to find an alternative model. Please let us know your preferred specifications (for example: RAM, size, price, graphics, and so on) and the usage purposes (personal, business, or study).". What the spec on the order you cancelled not a good enough guide?

  Time to ditch Lenovo for me I think. At least I won't have to deal with their crappy lighting software on the gen 6 I suppose.

  If you talk to the online chat you can get the gen 10, which has the 12th gen cpu for ~1900 if you can find a uni student email. I was going to but went with the X1 Nano Gen 2 for $2041. Pretty much half price over rrp

  Not for everyone but Microsoft did the surface pro 8, i7 512gb for $1588 on eBay. Cracker deal also.
