  • Hi,

just wondering if bonus Velocity points will be credited as i have held a qantas premiere platinum card (which was underwritten by citi now taken over by NAB)
and a NAB qantas rewards card both cancelled in the last 6months, seeing as citi is now run by NAB.

    Cheers

      You'll be fine.

Firstly, this deal has nothing to do with your previous cards (both offer under different brands - even thought under NAB umbrella) and for different reward stream (QF vs Velocity). Secondly, do you see anything in T&C prevent you from getting bonus of you having (or owned ) any other cards ?

      • thanks

  • first time ive ever been denied a credit card and have no idea why….

  • Not impressed with how slow they're being to review my application. Applied over a week ago and called today to follow up but just told to wait a bit longer.

    • Who knows, it could be Covid hit their approval team. Some people got approved within a day or two - some even within few hours !!!

  • Weirdly, my 60k points were added to VFF dated 26/09/22. I received the email requesting the VFF number on 28/10.
However that works out, I'm not sure….but all good.

Now to work out what to do with the standard Citi points on the account before closing it down

    • The 26th was when you made the qualifying spend

    Lol, the Deliveroo perk

  • Just got approved for this card, guessing that you need to setup a Citi Rewards account on the Citi Rewards website, for the 60K points to drop into?

They will send you an email with a link to enter your Velocity account.

You don't really need setup account but it would help with activation and monitor your usage - as with any other credit cards.

      • Thanks mate good to know. Still waiting for my points to go into Velocity account from the ANZ Rewards Plat card

      • Points dropped from ANZ. So guessing it's the exact same format where they send you the SMS and the email, you click on the link, enter your velocity number and voila, points are in your account…

  • I filled out the citi form for points, but haven't been credited them. Any idea of how long it takes?

    • dw up to 10 weeks
