Australian Iceberg Lettuce $2.99 Each @ ALDI
Starts on Wed 17th August.
This is why young people can't afford houses. Too much smashed lettuce on toast.
Saw Aldi's lettuce about 3 days ago… they're still only slightly larger than baseballs. Until they're back to full size I'll keep buying the ones in bags with roots attached from WW and dunking them in cold water every day to keep them fresh. That way you get about the same amount due to the icebergs still being small, only ALL the leaves are a nice green.
$2.99 each (leaf)
Must be an eastern states thing. Lettuce in WA has never been over 3.50-4. and a bag of crushed lettuce is $2.
Shredded lettuce is $2 at Coles and Woolies on east coast too. More a supply issue.
who cares about lettuce better alternatives around that more
Yeah like making salads with cabbage /s
Yeah like making salads with cabbage
Apple cider vinegar
Salt (preferably unrefined)
Extra virgin Olive Oil
Shredded cabbage
Onion
Pepper
My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Just to clarify we are talking about a full green/garden salad and all these ingredients are purely a substitute for lettuce? If so that's a lot of effort to go to cut out one ingredient and will completely change the taste.
Could imagine this going together by itself but with tomato, cucumber, capsicum, carrot, mushroom etc?
What did the cabbage say to the lettuce?
You don’t make friends with salad.
How many of u fat (profanity) have never tasted a salad before hmm? This is a great deal
A great deal? Jesus, we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel of a $3 lettuce is a “good deal”
Close to no nutritional value but okay. Big Aldi fan though!
I rekon this was a print error. I don’t see any catalogs in store having this sale
I got one in store today for the advertised price (in NSW).
NSW Only? Might want to put it in the title! Went in before, $4.95 in vic still.
I cant find this page in the weekly magazine
