This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app. Please see the archived thread (January 2017 - January 2022) for previous discussions.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE

    Just tried the following suggestions on the A01 error - using Iphone 6:

    • Deleting app gave the same error;
    • used VPN to set location to Melbourne and then tried the lock again and it worked for U91.

    Filling up this afternoon, to check if the lock works on another device using the same account.

      So i tested and it seem tha the App now auth the user ISP. How did you change your location to Melbourne what type of VPN are you currently using?

        I used Surfshark, using mobile data, just tried now using wifi/hotspot and it doesnt work; its giving me the A01 error, I can see there is an update for the app, will try as well

    Anyone using Android Studio able to bypass this A01 error? I've just about tried everything mentioned here, but haven't had any luck since it started happening last Friday.

        I think I finally figured it out.

        I wiped the data on the virtual device, didn't reinstall Magisk or LSPosed as that requires rooting the virtual device.

        Installed the 7-11 app, and then I just used the location function in the extended controls (the 3 dots in the side panel) to change locations instead. I find sometimes you might need to set the location first, close the phone and then reboot. It's so far working fine again

          This is crazy! - You are right!?
          After all the mucking around and the install guides, this simple trick works (and a lot easier, you just need a fresh android image).

          Just use the location in the dev tools (3 button on right), "set the location" (to where you want to lock in, search by suburb name), check the map on the device match, make sure 711 app closed -> restart the phone.
          After launch, ensure the location is set still (check google maps on the phone), Launch 711 -> lock in (should lock, no A01?)

                @ComfortablyNumb: It works intermittently now - I've managed to lock in one last night, but I couldn't lock in my 2nd account right after I locked in the other.

          Got it to work without Magisk/root, but one more step that maybe required, and looking at other comments alludes to the "same state" check.
          Encountered A01 error when trying to lock in a second account after disconnecting from the VPN.

          Looks like a VPN is required to meet the "same state" check. Successful after connecting to a Brisbane server again without restart.
          But restarting the phone without meeting the check, A01 comes up.

    Feature Request:

    With locks being limited to 25c/l, I think there can be an additional feature included in the websites that show the best prices.
    On a new page or maybe anywhere, the user can input the postcode, type of fuel, and KM radius of search which will result in the cheapest three 7-11's in that radius. Also chucking in the price difference between the cheapest in the country v/s price in those 3 locations might be handy. This way people can easily find out where most savings are.

        Not sure which part are you pointing to - none of those websites have this. They only show the cheapest fuel in each state.

    Hi All,
    Does anyone have issues with changing location iAnyGo? I am currently using iPhone SE using iOS 17.3.
    I keep getting the error "iPhone Disconnected" after the installation is complete.

    Did anyone experience the same issue and any known fix?

    Introducing: GeoPort “Your location, anywhere!”

    I’m back and I’ve updated my previous fuel spoof app (https://github.com/davesc63/fuel-spoof) to be webUI in a very familiar look and feel.

    iOS17 devices are supported!

    Looking for a few people to test out the app.

    MacOS tested and working on my home machines.
    iOS16 and 17 devices have been tested, including enabling of developer mode on ios17

    Windows support: I have ios17 and windows location simulation working. Need to do a bit more testing and documenting but pumped to have it working. No downloads for windows yet!

    My intent has been to achieve ios17 location simulation across MacOS and Windows platforms with the aim of being simple for everyone to use

        Thanks for testing. Did you try the fuel version?
        Decoder issue is either the base app isn’t running or a module isn’t loading.

        I’ve just downloaded and ran both Mac versions ok but keen to understand this morning

    chopper been going well for ages however from today I've been getting A01 error and have tried everything I could have thought of. Different networks, using VPN, same state, etc. Does anyone have a fix? Been using IOS 17 and ianygo software

    Please try out one of the windows versions. The infamous “it works on my machine” so keen to see how it goes.

    There’s many more moving parts to support windows.. driver downloads / installs, setting up new network adapters and WireGuard tunnels

      The console is locked and needs to be unlocked by entering the PIN. You can find the PIN printed out on the standard output of your shell that runs the server.

      Yes, so I went to Store Locator and it says "you need to update the app".
      I tried via Play Store, but it won't update. There's some shenanigans afoot, me thinks.

      Actually I got it updated. I Force-Stopped the 7-11 app in android studio & then it updated fine from play store.
      I was able to lockin

      to Force-Stop, you click & hold on the 7-11 icon, then goto App Info & then Force Stop.

          Are you using Studio without Magisks?

          Not experiencing the A01 error at all?

          I thought I figured it out by creating a new device without adding on magisk, and it worked twice and has since stopped allowing me to lock in again with the A01 error.

              @Thwatered: Yea, I haven't even tried a different state since this A01 error started. The 2 successful lock-ins i managed were also from the same state.

              @Thwatered: I tried again today, didn't do anything different to previous days, and it was successful at locking in for a different state for one account, but not for the 2nd account.

              There is literally no explanation for this other than it just works when it wants to work.

            @bbvc: I did try that method and tried to use Pixel 7 but that didnt seem to work. I never got the A01, just had the Searching for the best price for… and nothing happened.

            Back to using Pixel 4 with magisk, works fine.

              @artypig78: Umm not sure. The only thing I can think of is sledgehammer..In App Info
              force Stop -> Clear Data (usually under storage)

              open again, sign in& see if that works.

              Otherwise
              Spin up another device (pixel 6a maybe).
              Rather then using the rooting method, just install 7-11 app, and Vivaldi app (make default browser), use the built in location changer, set a location, changer (device settings bar, click 3 vertical dots), check its working in Maps.

              Open 7-11, sign in via Vivaldi (as I find Chrome crashes). Try to lock then

    Was able to lock in multiple times successfully with iOS16 and VPN however things are a bit odd.. I'm in Mel, and for a BNE fuel lock to work without A01 error I needed to VPN to Mel. For a WA fuel lock to work without A01 error, I had to VPN to Per

      I just tried it again.

      When I hotspot to another phone, instead of using wifi, then the A01 error goes away.

        Do you hotspot to your phone from your laptop? Or from within android studio (because i couldnt work out how to do that). Hotspotting from within windows still gives me the error

          no, i hotspot it to another phone (my main iphone).

          I'm using an old iphone 8 on ios 16.7 to lock prices in.

          If I have the iphone 8 on my wifi, I get the A01 error. If I change it to hotspot off my main phone, it locks in fine.

    to iphone user:
    Use VPN on your iphone and change it to the related state.

    I used to share hotspot from a android phone with VPN on it. It doesn't work. Seems like hotspot connection will bypass the android VPN.

    @dontpanic Hello mate :D Firstly just want to say thank you for doing gods work and getting me cheap(er) petrol for so long. I was just wondering if you'd noticed at all if the "Android Studio 2023 preferred method" had stopped working? It's been a dream for me for 6 months working absolutely perfectly and today the 7/11 app will not take on the new location. It's frozen in st kilda for me (an earlier location) and wont shift to some QLD place. I am absolutely doing the same thing I've done everytime. I noticed that 7-11 fuel required me to update the app. Maybe they've cracked down hmmm. Was just wondering if you'd noticed anything on your end :) Thank you mate.

    Hi All,

    I am using a IPhone SE Gen 3 on IOS 16.7.2

    I would use 3utools to spoof my location on my IPhone but I kept on getting A01 errors, it didn't matter if I waited a day, or tried multiple times, it didn't work.

    I believe they have added additional Protection as plenty have mentioned above.

    I use Private Internet Access (PIA) VPN. So it didn't cost me anything to install onto my IPhone.

    I set the VPN to the same state I had spoofed the location. (WIFI was OFF, if that matters)

    And straight away it worked.

    So it seems you now also need to use a VPN whilst your location is Spoofed on an IPhone SE Gen 3.

    I hope this helps.

      Hi HONDA4LIFE,

      Correct if you are spoofing from the same state.

      Spoofing NSW, if living in NSW is Ok. No VPN Required.

      Spoofing WA, if living in NSW is Not Ok. VPN is Required and set to WA for it to work.

      Alot who live in Victoria, spoof their Locations to either WA or Queensland to Fuel Lock cheaper Prices.

        I tried this and didn't work, i got surf skark vpn changed it to Brisbane then i spoofed my location went to lock in the price and the a01 error still came up.
