Wrong picture? Picture displays Apple Airpod Pro price.
RBK sounds a little too close for RBMK for my liking.
It was such a good deal they sold out and changed the signage literally while his phone focussed and took the photo.
Here's a link to a pic from JB Hifi
https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/netgear-orbi-whole-home-h…Sorry wrong pic. Updated
will recommand unifi over netgear
https://www.eurodk.com/en/products/unifi-dream-machines/unif…Yeah nah.
WiFi 5 Mesh "AGREE" due to the dedicated backhaul, but no for the Dream Machine you linked.
WiFi 6 the Ubiquiti AmpliFi Alien is a far superior product over the WiFi 6 Orbi, but damn expensive.NetGear have a solid track record, they do build some dumb features\omissions into some of their switching products though.
Can't really recommend one vendor over another as you always need to consider your use case, price and compatibility with your existing gear. For home use I would have no issues recommending any of NetGear's products.
I have the same Orbi model with 3 x satellites spread around the house. Recommended!
I have the RBK50 with 2 satellites around the house and I am able to stream a 4k HDR file seamlessly (50+ gig) to my media player
Still thinking to upgrade to RBK753 system…. dont know why and what benefit it would add
RBK753 gives you faster download speeds to Wi-Fi 6 mobiles, desktop PCs and so on if you have Gigabit nbn, increased Wi-Fi range, quad-core 1.4GHz processor and 1GB RAM.
RBK50 has a quad-core ARM 710MHz processor and 512MB RAM.
I have 1000Mb NBN so on my PC physically attached to one of the satellites, I get ~340Mbps which I'm happy with for most use cases.
No intent to upgrade, though if I did, I'm sure I'd get closer to that 1000Mb.
I'm looking into the Google Nest 3 Pack for similar Price $329 at Bing Lee.
How does this compare. 2 storey homeThe Google Nest is handy if you require the Google assistant speaker on the 2 nodes but other than that the Orbit is superior in every way. Honestly though, if you don't need all the bells and whistles just go with the Tenda Nova MW6 at less than half the price.
Is this a good deal considering that wifi 6 mesh deals are a similar price?
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/wifi%206%20mesh%20t…They are entry level Wi-Fi 6 mesh routers with dual band only, whereas the RBK50 is a top model Wi-Fi 5 with tri band.
I tried the Netgear Nighthawk MK63 Wi-Fi 6 with dual bands, and it was slower than the RBK50.
I have had this since 2017. Always works!
(I paid $414 in 2017).
This is the same model as mine. Surprised there isn't an upgrade.RBK752 and RBK852 are the Wi-Fi 6 upgraded Orbi's.
Wrong pic.
