According to the listing, it has Wifi 6, 11th gen i3 and expandable ram. The discount make it a better buy than Celeron and Pentium range laptops sold around this price.
Acer Aspire 5 with Intel i3 11th Gen, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 15.6" FHD $479 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Bing Lee

Thanks, it means their website has wrong info.
Wifi 6… But only 4GB RAM? Not sure I'd trust the designers (or marketing folks) of this laptop.
Upgradable to 12gb lol but who knows if that true. I would look online for reviews
Is it upgradeable?
Is this better or https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/653507 ?
I think this one, as this is newer model with better build quality.
But the HN one has 8GB ram?
Upto you which one you prefer, but ram can be added later on this too.
Depends on how confident you are in finding the right RAM and upgrading it yourself (it's not that hard but puts some people off). It's not even expensive, you can buy 4GB for ~$30 or a decent 8GB stick for ~$50-$60
Processor is better in this one. Also allows for greater RAM speeds 3733mhz (vs 2400mhz with the AMD)
damn if it was 14" I would get one
same price @ ebay store.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/164944321140
use SEPSPENDNSAVE to save another $10
The same code gives $50 off a $500 spend
(i.e. If you add another eligible item >$21 the same coupon gives $50 off)Plus Afterpay is giving $10 off $100 spend on eBay.
Thanks for the tip. Managed to cancel through the website and purchase through ebay with a random $21 item with free returns.
4GB RAM? What is this? 2012?
Great price! (Considering another post where a “refurb” Dell E2720 running an i7 6600u, 16GB ram is $400 ex delivery on a 30 day warranty)…
I wonder if it supports a 16GB ram stick? That will get this to 20GB ram.
Comparison of the CPUs:
https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6600U-vs…I think it will support 16 GB yes.
I have a similar older Acer that does.
anyone know what type of ram this will have? Also if you put in 8gb will it still run dual channel? or am i better off getting just another 4gb stick?
Missing a backlit keyboard, and an easily done (and cheap) RAM upgrade, but otherwise a perfect knockabout laptop that'll do anything you want outside of AAA gaming
Anyone else get one with a lacklustre screen?
i3-1115G4 only has UHD graphics not Xe graphics which is limited 11th Gen Core i5 and i7 G-series.
