      • I followed up twice after the 14 days. Just a standard response of covid delays and stock shortages each time

  • Sigh - it's going to be 1 month tomorrow since I ordered and it's still 'awaiting stock' for my Fold3. Anyone else in the same boat?

    For those who are, I chatted to Telstra and they say that I won't lose out on the preorder bonuses - wasn't sure what this meant from a Samsung perspective, so I called and the lady did say over the phone that the delay wasn't my fault and that I should call them once the phone arrives (even if it is after the 15th of Oct) and that her supervisor will have 'discretionary powers' that they should still give me the preorder bonus.

    I realise now that this isn't exactly a promise, but she made it sound like I shouldn't be worried - so fingers crossed that if the phone does arrive very late, I'll still get my bonuses (if not I will be pissed. Hope everyone else is enjoying your Fold3s!! (i will probably have to rant about the TV and all other stuff later)

      Hey ranma, not sure if you have received your phone yet but I made this account to reply to you as I had a similar experience and concerns about the promo bonuses.

      I had preordered my Z Flip 3 on the 14/08 but somehow my order wasn't recognised in their system. Few days prior to the release date, I got in contact with multiple Telstra agents asking if they could find my order number. After multiple attempts, they each provided me with different reference numbers and order numbers that turned out to be not associated with my actual order.

      On the 10/09, the release date of the phones, I still couldn't track my order. I contacted Telstra again and the lady I spoke to said my order did not exist in the system even though a payment has been received. She said the references and order numbers given to you from the Telstra agents weren't related to my order. She said the only thing they could do, was to cancel/refund my preorder and reorder it. I asked her if I will be receiving all my preorder bonuses if I am reordering after the promo period. She assured me that she will add a “Dispute Case Order” stating that I have preordered the phone during the promotion period, and I will receive all the preorder bonuses.

      I didn't trust that promise she made so I lodge a complaints on the Telstra online form. I stated my story, dispute case order and listed all the preorder bonuses I am entitled for. I got myself a case manager in a few days and she explained that she wasn't able to provide me the bonuses from Samsung. Since my new order was after the promo and that Samsung are strict on that. Instead she said they'll provide me the RRP value of the bonuses. So for the Samsung TV ($949) and the gift pack value of ($258 for the Z Flip 3). In total I received $1207.

      So ranma, I reckon the fastest and easiest way is to lodge a complaint about it on their online form. You'll most likely get the same outcome as me with them refunding the RRP value of the bonuses if you still haven't received your order by the 15/10.

Hopefully I'm luckier in that I seem to have an order number, and so far they said that stock was allocated to me and it's now just waiting in the warehouse to pick up to deliver to me - not sure if it'll make it in time though. I will probably try your method if it doesn't arrive in time and I can't get the bonuses and go through this online form you're talking about.

        Can I ask about the value you received, how did you get it back? Did they credit your credit card or something? Or is it that they credited that amount on your bill?

        Also you can enable direct messaging on your account, so I can message you through there if better. That's a pretty good credit back then, it's like you got your phone for almost half off.

        • @ranma Yes, they gave me the option to be credited by cheque or bank transfer. I chose bank transfer and received it in 3 business days.

  • A couple of weeks ago I followed up with Samsung support about the missing voucher code and they replied:

    Once your TV is ready for delivery, you will receive an email with both the E-Voucher code and the TV tracking number.

    Checked my redemption status today and it now says it shipped on the 5th of October. Unsurprisingly, I didn't receive an email.

    Totally understand shipping delays, but it makes absolutely no sense why the gift pack voucher email couldn't have been sent when the redemption was approved, or even better, selected during the application process.

  • got my TV on Friday. Switched over to Belong yesterday. Adios sucky Telstra!!
