American Express Essential Credit Card: 30k Points for Referrer and 10k for Referee ($750 Spend in 3 Months) @ American Express

130

I was browsing the amex refer page and noticed that the referral details for the Essential Card has significantly improved!

Referrers now receive 30k points (worth a whopping $150!) and referees receive 10k points (worth $50) per referral!! Referrers would previously receive 10k points and referees received 0 points. The points can be redeemed for statement credit (at a rate of 1,000 points = $5), making it as good as cash. Make sure you add your referral details to the system.

The essential card has no annual fees, comes with free smart phone screen insurance up to $500 (10% excess applies), free 12-month access to Centr and gives you 1.25 points per dollar spent (equates to 0.625% cash back). This makes it hands down the best entry amex card for those looking to hop on the amex offers bandwagon!

Min $40k income required, as well as eligible spend of $750 in the first 3 months. New card members only. Sign up via the referral system below and click on "show more", then click the random referral link for the essential card. You should see the "high points offer" once you click through (like the one in the picture I've attached). If you don't see it, click on the referral link again until you get that offer as only some referrers have this offer.

Explorer better, 175k bonus points for applicant, 50k for referer. Don't waste your first sign up bonus for 30k points lol

  • What is a new card member. Have an Amex direct issued card already, but not this one.

    • Then you don't qualify if you have an amex card issued directly not via bank.

    • Have pm'd you. I'd asked mods to create a separate referral link but they said the best option was to keep on clicking until you get the offer.

This offer still seems to be available, took me a good twenty clicks to find one that had the offer though.

    • Highly suggest to sign up for the Explorer for high bonus points in first year, then downgrade at the end of the first year
