Luckily when I had spoken to the operator about whether I’d get both they had said I would, so they still honoured it.

After the first three months, once points are credited just downgrade to a lower tier card. Annual fee is pro rated. $130 annual fee total if I remember correctly.
I didn't realise they pro-rata'd, in that case surely you would just cancel?
@MrThing: You could cancel once swapping to a lower tier card, but you’ve already paid for the remainder of the year. So if you’re churning to another card, cancelling once swapping could be an option. If not, in my case just using for daily spending.
Would recommend opening a BankSA trans account and then getting their amplify visa, with the bonus is 100k plus 2 lounge passes for $204. I assume St George and BoM have the same deal
Price seems to be $295 plus $75 annual QFF program fee
Not if you’re an existing customer, then it’s $139 + $75 QF fee so I was $10 out

It pops up 2/3 times a year, most recently in January which is weird timing but far from an always on offer
