I can see latitude pay deals dominanting ozbargain again for couple of days.

    • Real question is, are you ready?

  • +4

For anyone interested in the new Apple TV 4K, has eBayPlus but not LatitudePay, you can currently get it for $222 (with free delivery) from SydneyMobiles: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393365482700

    • That’s a good price too

      • how you get this price?
        Apple TV 4K 32GB $154

        JB is selling for $249

        • you have to be eBayPlus member

          • @robo11: but OP put in title

            @ JB Hi-Fi

            so that is wrong then.

also you have link for the ebay deal?

            • @pinkybrain: chrism238 posted the ebay link ^^^^ look at the original post. The OP title is based on the LatitudePay $25 off deal they have running currently.

              • @robo11:

                • [LatitudePay] Apple TV 4K 32GB $154, 2021 Model $224, Chromecast Google TV/ Fire TV 4K + $1 Item - $75 Each + Post @ JB Hi-Fi

                read the entire title..
this title is wrong or just misleading

                • @pinkybrain: there is nothing wrong with the title, you are misreading it or don't understand.

        • That $154 price is NOT for the 4K model.

          • @chrism238: but in the info.. the link is for 2021 model.
            which is selling for $249.

            https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/apple-tv-4k-32gb-2021?que…

            • @pinkybrain: I think you're lost atm. to get the price reduction you need LatitudePay for the discount. Don't go on the face value that is listed on JB's website.

The 2 Apple TV's refer to one as the First Gen and then the newer second Gen. The prices reflect this.

@robo11: okay I know why I am reading it incorrect it is cos of the way the title is written

                Apple TV 4K 32GB $154, 2021 ….

If you read it fast then you would think this read Apple TV 4K 32GB 2021 - $154
the problem is I missed seeing the comma when I read it fast..

I think title could have been better written.

                e.g.
                [LatitudePay] Apple TV 4K 32GB (gen1) $154, Apple TV 4K 32GB (gen2) $224, Chromecast Google TV/ Fire TV 4K + $1 Item - $75 Each + Post @ JB Hi-Fi

Also clicking on the link 2021 model in the info would further add to the confusion.
since there is no link in the info for gen 1 except by clicking the right thumbnail link

          • @chrism238: there is that price but 4K (gen1) vs 4k (gen2)

    • thanks…got one!!

  • Is there a way to hide these loan shark deals? Like how sub “deals” can be hidden.

    • +4

      Add LatitudePay

      Here, under title tag
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/170839/edit/deals

      Then drag slider to less

      • Thanks.

    • These aren't loan sharks, if anything they work for you by charging the big companies a small fee, which you can make work for you with interest free credit cards.

I think next runner up for Ozbargain replacement names is Ozcomplainaboutdealsonadealswebsite.com.au

Well no interest is the direct opposite of a loan shark, which is typically associated with very high interest because of trivial approval.

So yeah, they're not loan sharks.

Though they are pure predatory scum and I hope the money runs out and they all close. Deals are good in mean time I suppose (no I don't use them but enjoy).

        • Well no interest is the direct opposite of a loan shark, which is typically associated with very high interest because of trivial approval.

$10/week if you miss a payment. Bet a lot of people who have to use these services do miss payments.

          • @PainToad: That's the predatory scum part.

I didn't mean to give the impression they're better than traditional loan sharks, they are equal to worse.

      • These aren't loan sharks

Small loans targeting those who are either financially struggling or young and dumb who never learnt how to have patience and self control. Sounds like a loanshark to me.

Well, a loanshark with a good marketing team.

        • Loan sharks charge extremely high rates of interest, typically under illegal conditions. RBA begs to differ.

          • @shap08: Fair point.

I personally feel their marketing targets young irresponsible people and lower socio-economic people. That's where I see them as being similar to loansharks. Which I find unethical and will never support them no matter the savings.

            • @PainToad: You are also correct, they do target lower socioeconomic population, typical with consumer driven ideas. We live in a World we want things now, not interested in waiting and saving.

Just look at the Bitcoin crypto talk, everyone wants 100% daily returns today. Not 4-7% annual return.

  • $149 last year, got 2 from JB lol

    • +2

Wasnt that a pricing mistake that buyers were lucky that jb actually honoured?

  • Any way of finding $1 items at JB?

  • Does JBHIFI include the Apple TV+ 1 year?

Anyway around the first customer bit?

Don’t try and create multiple accounts for something that runs a credit check against you.

Seriously people, your credit score is more important than saving a few bucks. 🤦‍♂️

      • -3

(profanity) Telstra ran a credit check on me to sign up for a basic plan I wish I knew it would affect my credit score. Why the (profanity) do they run a credit check for a bloody phone plan what a bunch of (profanity)

    • It’s first purchase for JB hi-fi. I doubt you used your LatitudePay on JB Hi-Fi yet
