Does this hiss when no music is playing ?

    • +3

      No

    • +2

I think if you ground it properly you won’t get any hiss sound.

    • This one is best used with digital inputs like HDMI, Ethernet, USB, or using optical digital. Only risk of hiss should be if using 3.5mm input

  • Neve had a good experience with wireless speakers for watching TV or gaming. There's always unsynced audio latency. I assume I must be doing something wrong but I've tried it a few times. Anyone know the secret sauce?

Anything that processes sound will delay it - it may be noticeable, or not, depending on degree of processing. If you want zero delay - buy dumb amp and wired speakers.

For non-wireless, Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z906 has no noticeable delay and are cheap enough to dedicate to TV viewing.

Is there speakers with a 12 inch subwoofer or bigger for the home

    • It can be nice to have wireless speakers and use them wired when connected to PC, and if you have a house party you can move them and use them in wireless mode wherever you like.

    • These speakers have HDMI arc ports which you can plug directly into your tv. They also have RCA inputs for a 3.5mm aux connection.

I have the regular LSX II. The two speakers are connected via wifi and TV to speaker via HDMI ARC. Didn't have any issues with latency

      • Interesting, so wireless between speakers but wired to TV I'd like to try that.

  • These come with an interlinking cable, no issue with tv movies. I have the 1st series of these on watching bills/ KC now no worries. I've never tried them wireless though as they sound better linked

** cries in poor stereo **

    • I wouldn't waste the tears… I've heard KEF full range drivers and couldn't stand them. Built much better sounding (passive) speakers for less than half the price.

      • +1

I've got a full surround set up with KEF Uni-q based speakers and I love it so I guess it comes down to taste. I find it compares well to various high end 70s speakers I have and has a similarly sweet sound compared to a lot of rather soulless (and fugly) modern speakers.

        • I last ones I heard were the LS50s which I found far too bright. Curiously similar to the full range speakers which I built for another project (and discarded).

          • @rumblytangara: My fronts are pretty massive (Q750s) and have the same (I think) mid/treble driver as the LS50s but then a bigger bass driver and two passive radiators, so you get a lot of bass extension out of them. I added a sub but it was barely necessary given how low they go. I definitely don't find them bright but that might be because the bass driver balances things out and lets the Uni-q driver focus on mids/highs without working so hard to do the full range.

  • FYI for anyone considering these. This is a good price. But I recently picked up a pair of Edifier QR65s with a sub for less than half this price. Very happy with it. Plays hi res audio if you have an ldac capable phone. Only downside is it doesn't have HDMI arc connection.

I'd listen to these before buying them, I bought their bigger brother the LS50 wireless's and really wasn't impressed at all.

few years back i ordered a R300 on discount online. went to browse amp in another shop and the shop offered R700 at my R300 discounted price.
canceled order for R300 on the spot, forfeiting ~$80 shipment and bought the R700

      • Worth it

  • Oh, No, just order a pair of Polk R200.

    • +1

R200 are awsome. You won't regret it. I went with kef q350 and a wiim amp.
