This deal doesn't seem so great when you consider the low quality resolution, 628x582 (PAL) is too low these days in the age of high definition and I believe there are better options out there but I'm no expert.
You dont need to be an expert, you are %100 correct. Swan make cheap and nasty products. The only thing that seperates them from other cheap and nasty products is their branding. God knows how they became so popular. A friend of mine spent over $2000 on a Swan setup, a year later every camera was dead.
How swann can have these RRP's and still sell them is beyond me.

Cameras suck. 15M of cable is really not long enough and they charge $58 for a 30M cable.
Monitors are kinda handy and have HDD built in, but still a rip off.
Swann is overpriced and poor quality SHIT.

At home, unless you can pay guards to watch the monitor 24/7, the best you can hope for is a few souvenir snaps of a guy in a hoodie carrying off your jewellery. Maybe his skin colour if lucky. How does it protect people?
