Decent price for this coffee machine. I have one and it does the job. Just a note that the filter basket is pressurised and it's hard to find a non-pressurised basket for this.

    I have both. Sunbeam is better if you want to make milk based coffee and/or espresso. However, I find that fresh beans tend to be a bit more bitter than off the shelves one due to the pressurised basket I think. Compared to the high end breville, this is all manual so you have to twist the knob to turn it off. I find that AeroPress does a more balanced long black if I do the invert method compared to adding hot water on the sunbeam. Just my 2c.

        If you just drink black coffee I’d go for the aeropress. Find a good roaster and ask for a filter roast.

      If you are adding milk (more so sugar), and not running it way too long, bitterness is unlikely to be a problem, IMHO.

      I'd rather a cheap espresso like this than drip/plunger/etc , but personal preference. A fancier machine will give more consistency and better control, in theory.

    I have this. The steam wand is fine for frothing, but does not heat up the milk beyond lukewarm if the milk is cold or room temp.
    For piping hot coffee cravings, i need to prewarm the milk in the microwave and then give it a go under the wand.

    Overall happy with the product as a coffee newbie.

  I have this machine, pretty happy with it. We use it daily and it makes pretty good coffee with Aldi's ground coffee powder.

      Yes, without any issues. I also use a milk thermometer to do it at 60.
