  • i imagined for a second that cheapbargins.com.au was a forum dedicated to australian bargins

  • also perhaps more details on the tv (or even mention its a TV in the title)

  • -1

not really a bargain when its only $50 cheaper then other stores…

    cableconnection is $1728…

    • Hi Snow36009,

I think it is still a bargain, we are still the cheapest. :D

And it is a genuine Australian model with $150 dollars cash back from Samsung. I'm not sure if other online retailers qualify for that promotion (you would have to check their terms and conditions).

      Cheers,
      Tom

  • Was looking at the series 8, but have been told by a few people that the extra $300 isn't worth it, and to go for the series 7. Any suggestions? I'll need a 55 inch

    • but series 8

      u get a remote controller worth $100
      cos it has keyboard

      and also $200 cashback

so it might work out pretty close or not as great as 300 difference

      • There is a $150 cashback with the series 7 anyway, and I've been offered a good discount on the remote (I'm buying 2 TVs so they gave a bit of a discount)

      • There's also a Samsung Remote app for the iPhone which works well and provides a keyboard. All it requires is your iPhone and television to be connected to the same network.

        • wow that sounds good! Do you have a link?

        • Sorry, I'm on my iPhone so can't get a link, but search the AppStore for "Samsung Remote" - it's the first item to come up.

    • Hi Padfoot07,

We have both available and in stock. I guess you want to know where your money will be going by stepping up to the D8000. The most important features that you will use are micro-dimming, the QWERTY remote and the beefed-up CMR800 picture refresh rate. We have these panels side by side in our stores and I can say with confidence that the D8000 is the stand out of the two. The blacks are blacker and the contrast is deeper which is exactly what you want out of a top-of-the-range LED. We have been using it to watch the cricket in the store and even with just ordinary digital TV on it looks outstanding.

That is not to say that the D7000 is bad, just the D8000 is better. Check out this review - http://www.cnet.com.au/samsung-ua55d8000-339308543.htm

Honestly, in my opinion the D8000 is money well spent.

Here is the UA55D8000 for $2898 less $200 Samsung cash back - http://cheapbargains.com.au/catalog/product_info.php/samsung…

Here is the UA55D7000 for $2447.50 less $150 Samsung cash back - http://cheapbargains.com.au/catalog/product_info.php/samsung…

Remember cash back from Samsung closes at 23:59 08/01/12.

      Hope that helps,
      Tom

      • hey mate is the D7000 top of the range for this years 46" LED models? i was looking at getting the UA46C8000 last year but thought i would wait until this years models…have next years range been announced yet?

        • yes

        • Hi Again,

The UA46D7000 is the top of the range 46". There have been whispers of the new 2012 TV range but nothing has been confirmed from Samsung to us in LED. We have heard whispers of the new Plasma E series being due around April.

          Cheers
          Tom

      • Plasma conquers ALL!

  • For anyone interested I saw this exact tv for $1198 in Myer Geelong today, not sure if was a today only special as part of the Super Saturday or not. But throw in the $150 cashback and that comes to a damn cheap tv, $1048 all up. Such a shame I only need a 40"

  • no you didnt….that would of been the D6000, a 40" or an pricing error.

  • Ah yeah I did. May well be a pricing error but the ticket defo said $1198 and UA46D7000 and it was in front of the 7000.

clause 10 c) of samsung's terms and conditions. exclude any online retailers, if u provide a digital receipt its automatically deemed invalid.

“participating Australian retail store” excludes any online retailer who does not also have a shopfront (for example, www.shoppingsafari.com.au, www.shopbot.com.au), online bidding or auction websites (including www.ebay.com.au), with the exception of Appliances Online, www.appliancesonline.com.au or any unauthorised retailers. Prior to purchasing a Participating Product the customer should verify with the retailer that the retailer is authorised to participate in this Promotion.

      Hi mpsmania,

We are a bricks and mortar store, our company JRL Pty Ltd is a registered Samsung reseller as are our trading names of Cheapbargains.com.au and Rezzie Betta Electrical Rutherford. A quick search on abr.gov.au with ABN 60 126 909 215 and a whois lookup on our domain will reveal we are who we say we are. Further, a quick call to Samsung will confirm that both Cheapbargains.com.au and Rezzie Betta Electrical are both authorised resellers and purchases made from our stores are eligible for the cash back promotion.

We issue hard-copy invoices posted out in the mail to all customers, whether the product applies to a promotion or not so you need not worry about your claim being deemed invalid. This is not the first time we have offered supplier promotions, we have been in this industry for over 20 years in one form or another.

      Thanks,
      Tom

      • Touché!

  • Hi,

I got my Samsung TV (UA46D7000) from Bing Lee for the same price with Keyboard remote, 2pairs of 3D glasses and free delivery. But when I try to register for cash back it says promotion closed. Can anyone help me how to get cash back?

    Thanks

    • Don't panic, the T&C's say you have until 22nd to submit your claim. If you can't get the claim form online, I'd contact Samsung directly and let them know. At the least, the should be able to send you a paper claim form in time for you to redeem.
