    No harvey no

  • And the price is … ?

  • Any Harvey Norman Optus deal on the Ultra?

  • +5

    Any idea,how much repayment cost?if i cancel after 120days?

  • Existing Optus customers allowed?
    I can't see anything in the T&Cs so I assume it's okay?

    • +2

Second last sentence in the exert above. Recontracts and rate plan changes are excluded.

      • Ahh thanks, missed that somehow.

  • +6

Also note you can get the S25+ for $299 upfront or the Ultra $749. 120 days should be 4 months or $276 in monthly payments (possibly more with pro rata)

Maximum ETC after 120 days is $670 according to critical terms, so mimium cost for phone would be $946 for standard S25..add upfront costs for the Plus+ or Ultra

  • +6

HN telco deals looks not appealing compare to JB telco deal.
    * Base S25 can be had at JB for $527 + $79 for the first month VS HN for $690 ETC + $276 for the first 4 months
    * JB will provide full amount invoice with their telco deal so you can still claim TRS back, unlike HN your invoice will be shows as $0
    * For S25 ultra, you can stack $200 pre-order code bonus with the telco deal which HN is not offering

our plan works out way better for someone staying on the plan
EDIT - ours also works with the preregister for the gift card.

      • +1

Even when staying on the plan I would say neither is better, JB works out to be $79 for 150GB where HN is $69 for 100GB.

True ozbargainers would probably pay ~$20pm. For example, circles.life on same Optus network is offering $22.50pm for 105GB

        • -2

          depends on the person.
however, circles are soon to be merging with amaysim, that offer is only for 6 months then permanent $30 for 30gb and circles and amaysim only offer 4g and 5g capped at 100mbps respectively. amaysim’s plan is $32/28 days for 30gb, which works out to $34.5/month anyway
mathematically it doesn’t make sense to jump on this plan and cancel for something greater than $28 anyway, so you get uncapped optus 5g (which once you get, you never go back (like nbn)) and data out the wazoo.

          • @HardlyNormal: How do we get this $749 upfront cost for s25 ultra with Optus online?

On the site, it onto has the option to buy outright.

      • what is ther "with the preregister for the gift card“? is it expired now?

        • yes you needed to preregister before the announcement.

          • @HardlyNormal: Was that a special Harvey Norman pre-register deal? And is it ok to get this deal if you're already on a reseller plan (Moose Mobile) that uses the Optus network?

      • Any chance i can get a $100 pre-register? never saw it advertised. please dm me if so. I intend to keep the plan so this works out well rather than pay JB $30 more for GB data i wont be using

  • im guessing if your with optus already on expired plan this is not applicable?
or if i jump out to Aldi now can i switch to here in like a week?

    • -1

I think you need to be gone 30 days. Not available to recontracting customers

      • nope, optus has no restrictions with porting out. thats JB telstra

        • yes thx, I called up and they said this so im gonna port out now and buy this 2m - thx

          • +2

@botchie: Annoying telcos make you do this even if you're not on a contract with them.

            • @fusion17: yep, $10 and wasted time just to sign back up….like seriously WHY

              • @botchie: yep ive been a jb telstra customer since the galaxy S7, then s20fe and now would have bought the s25 ultra with them if theyd let me… but I am guessing I wont be able to as im an existing customer. Will be porting over to optus and getting it through HN now i guess, unless theres a way to it through JB while keeping my number?

        • I ported out of Optus to ALDI a week ago then went into store in Corio Geelong today and was told they would not sign me up for this plan as I needed to be out of Optus for 3 months. Waste of my time don't bother trying.

          • @Ben1078: this is not true, have done multiple fresh port outs myself recently. just dont tell them hahaha

  • don't tell me,you can cancel the contract and pay 0 + ¢69 ?

    • +2

The only way to cancel a Mr Gerry plan is to go 1v1 in the boxing ring

  • +1

Stay 120 days and then payout is 1/2 of remaining contract cost

    $690 (~20 months @ $69/2) + $69x4 for first 4 months = $966 for phone outright incl 4 months of service.

+Whatever upfront extra you paid for higher spec phones.

    • I am considering the Ultra. Can someone please confirm if this is what's going to cost if I cancel after 120days?
      upfront $749 (or $739 now to match JB/OW) + $690 (20 * 1/2 $69)
So roughly a total of $1,439?

      • you need to factor in the first 4 months

  • +2

FYI THIS DEAL STACKS WITH TODAY’S 10% GIFT CARD OFFER, YOU WILL GET A GIFT CARD 10% OF THE VALUE OF THE PHONE OUTRIGHT PRICE

    • Is that before or after the discount from singing up to the plan?

      • before

        • How can this happen when the receipt shows a purchase price of $749?

          • @OzWinker: this is a head office directive

            • @HardlyNormal: Can you confirm - should it be 10% of $749/$737, or 10% of $2149? And if $2149, do you have anything to confirm this that I can show to the store? Thanks

              • @OzWinker: 10% of $2137**, there is no official email, just word spreading through channels, iirc stores in perth have done it

                • @HardlyNormal: holy crap… you are right. I got 213.70 back on each of the S25+ ultras I got. And to think I almost bought these yesterday

                  • @DanielP2: Can you share a copy of your receipt showing the GCs you got and I'll head to HN now and try to get them to increase? Cheers

    • quick question, why is the price for the ultra listed as $749 when the TCs state a $1400 discount on the phone, which would make it $737?

      • its $737, we just dropped our pricing to match OW/JB

        • He is the 10% cashback offer still going?

          • @Perennial: this was only valid for last friday, and it was only a gift card, not a cashback.

  • Just signed up for this. $749 for the S25U 512GB. $200 HN GC for pre-registration (valid for 3 years). $74.90 HN GC based on the purchase price of the phone ($749) valid for 1 month.

    • Is it still possible to get the $200 GC now?

      • nope, you needed to register before the announcement

      • @xmchen, did you register for Galaxy Unpacked and get the voucher code?

    • Based on the information above you should get $213.7 back in GC not $74.90

      • I managed to get the store to correct the issue - they issued another GC for $140 :)

  • +3

I think that HN are honouring the same terms as the Samsung pre-registration. All I did was show the email from Samsung with the GALAXY2025 code and got the $200 GC. The Samsung pre-registration code is valid for 72 hours from 23 Jan at 5am AEDT, so you should still be able to get it.

    • Is this nationwide or handled store by store? I'm trying to gather some information to show them that we have a chance to secure this $200 gift card.

    • Hey, was there a specific store that offered you this? I've tried every Sydney store and none of them will match Samsung's registration coupon. Only HN's own one

  • Just paste screenshot of email so we all here keep showing to HN and keep scoring that $200 Galaxy2025 code.

  • Could someone please post the email or send to me, hoping to get this this morning!

  • for anyone looking for a code, we need to validate the code and match it with your email. cant just use the same code everywhere.

    • What does the code look like, please? Is it something like "GALAXY2025+CMP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX"?

      • actually we dont see the code, all we do is validate the email.

        • Hey friend I just signed up to this offer in a Harvey Norman store 2 days ago and am trying to understand what this $200 offer is. I pre-registered and got the $200 code from Samsung, which was the GALAXY2025 thing, but I can't use that if I don't order the phone directly through them. Are you saying I'm entitled to that $200 as well on accessories I can order directly from Sammy?

    • Hi there, isn't the samsung $200 voucher (GALAXY2025) used only for accesories. Do HN provide a cash refund instead?

      • Would be great to know. I called and spoke to someone in mobile at HN Wiley Park and they said they definitely can't use any Samsung codes, you'd need to have registered seperately for HN's

    • Can you please confirm that HV will match SAMSUNGS pre-registration $200 evoucher email by offering a $200 gift card? I have spoken to a couple of mobile managers in HV Sydney stores and they don't know about it. Please clarify for the community here

  • Cannot promise these will work but worth a try.

    • Cheers, are these the samsung pre registration code or HN?

  • I would jump on this deal straight away if I can still run my internet off hotspoting, my biggest issue moving to a highly populated suburb 😞😞😞

Guess that is the price you pay for convivence….
