Thanks, updated.
Purchased last week for $455!
I've come across some compatibility issues with my MacBook when it's asleep the monitor keeps trying to find a connection causing my laptop to keep charging on and off every 5 minutes when asleep.I have a U3818DW, seems as though some of the Dell monitors don't follow the USB-C PD spec properly.
I've turned off USB charging whilst power off and prevented the macbook (work laptop) from sleeping whilst monitor off.

Is this monitor better than the Gigabyte m27q

For gaming I would get that Gigabyte.
How fast will this charge a mackbook pro? Will it be the same as if plugged in the wall, if slower, then by how much?
It’s only 45W, so I’d expect slower (or much slower) depending on what machine you have.
It’s less than half the 96W of the brick included with my 16-inch MBP.
It depends on which MacBook Pro you have. 13" needs 60W to charge at full speed while the 16" needs 96W to charge at full speed. Also under heavy workloads, the MacBook Pro will drain it's battery rather than charging if the charger doesn't output enough power to charge and run the laptop.
Same price on Amazon without code… to be honest after last years Black Friday Deals and the time it took to get my monitors. I bought it from Amazon this time, bought it on Sunday night > coming today…

Plus the returns policy with Amazon is pretty good.
I have this. Two things to consider:
1. No vesa mount
2. Stand is not adjustableAm I the only one here that thinks native Type C monitors are a waste of time? I'd much rather put the extra cash into a dock of some kind and use regular displayport, would yeild much more functionality.
Once you've used a monitor with USB-C with charging support, it's very hard to go back
Really? Surely it'd take less than 5 minutes to switch the cables around
The benefit of USB-C (+DP/TB3/PD) is that it's a single cable to connect to get power, video, USB hub all together (with the right hardware). If you are plugging your laptop in a lot, that can be handy or downright better for the hardware.
@norkle: That's exactly how a dock works
@stephendt: You're welcome to connect to your devices however you want.
It appears this code is for eBay Plus members only.
This monitor doesn't appear to support a DisplayPort link to a 2nd monitor?
