    They didn't for a while. Shut down and reopened under new management. The fallout was that most all of their old peripherals lost support, which was a damn shame. However their build quality was questionable and they don't really hold up to today's gaming peripheral standards.

  I always wanted an R.A.T. mouse because they're adjustable and I have big hands. I just can't see myself forking out more than $100 for one though. Mad Catz was always a cheap gaming brand. Plus, I'm not sure on the build quality.
