  • $6 more expensive than last time?

      Difference is between mechanical vs electronic mechanism with alarm & time stamp of access - know when the kids/spouse really arrived home. I'd keep both hidden from kids with time on their hands as only 1000+ combinations.

  • Given that this one isn't that secure.. can anyone recommend one that's very secure?

  • The mechanical one linked. Assuming they both aren't.

    Careful, you don't need to get the code in the correct order for it to open. If your code is 1234, you can enter 2314 and it will open. Not secure at all IMHO.

    Also, these were $6 cheaper less than 6 months ago … http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/49479 … so that makes it a neg from me

      That is true.
      10P4 = 5040
      10C4 = 210
      So only 210 ways that you can crack a 4 digit code, rather then the sequential 5040 ways!

      But it doesn't have to be 4 digit! It can be 2 up to 9… it will be silly if you put 1 or 10 unless you are aiming to confuse the heck out of the code-crackers!

      10C5 = 252
      10C6 = 210
      10C7 = 120
      10C8 = 45
      10C9 = 10

      So albeit the combination are non-sequential, the permutation are still large. The optimised number is 5 digits with 252 possible non-sequential combinations! =)

      Not bad if you ask me!

      • 10P4 and 10C4?

        ahehe Maths class here I guess :)

        "Perms and Coms" :)

      This offer is for Key Safe with personal security alarm. Unfortunately the price of this model has gone up since last offer so we have included some personal security alarms left over to counter balance. If comparing apples with apples this offer was the last http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/32339.

      The price is still very good when compared to other online offerings for this or similar products so I don't see why a NEG is in order. Would you really put in a code 1234?

  • -1

    It has gone up and yes that out of your control but now its 30% more than before and that makes it unappealing, considering it didn't have the greatest reviews last time when I looked at them, and is why I didn't even buy at $20.

    I certainly won't be buying at 30% more than before.

    Sorry but no deal.

    • +1

      It's not 30% more as it comes with the Ge personal alarm http://junglejumble.com.au/ge-smart-home-personal-security-k…. Your comment is personal opinion and neg inappropriate

      • Sorry your right there I didn't read the full offer. I like the freebie :)

        I retracted the neg :)

        Just a question - if I did buy one now :) when would it be shipped - would it arrive this week?

        • Thanks for fixing up. We're sending out all orders tomorrow, everywhere except WA, NT and some locations in far North QLD will miss the cut for pre Christmas delivery but everywhere else should be good to go! Plenty of OzB people have bought one so where's the good vibes? Vote please

        • @Junglejumble
          Mate, don't ask for votes.

  • Still waiting 2 weeks+ on an order :(

  • Why is the Junglejumble sister website crazystu.com.au banned on ozbargain?
