  • FFS I bought 2 sets of these full price last week.

      Return then buy these

      • +23

Buy these and return them on the old receipt. Easy.

        • +1

Can't find the receipt dammit. Thats $40 down the drain. Where do I hand in my OzB card.

          • @stumo: If you used a powerpass card. you can find all your receipts in the app

          • @stumo: I just take stuff back without a receipt and tell them when I bought it and get a store credit

      • +5

Buy these, return them 2 minutes later with old receipt.

      • On the old receipt, return them and buy these. Easy Yoda.

        • Buy Yoda, return receipt you will.

      • Take new pair to counter and return them using old receipt.

    • +8

Bunnings will honour the difference and refund it. No need to fluff around with buying again and returning on an old receipt

  • I bought some last year for $25? GREAT PRICE at $20

  • Be good if Amazon price matched this, I’m not close to a Bunnings.

      Get OnePass?

      • Bunnings only delivers to driveable locations from their local stores. Onepass doesn't help in this situation as Bunnings won't let you order.
The two closest Bunnings to me are around a 45min drive to either; they only deliver within around 30km of the stores based on random address entries.

I can phone a Bunnings up and they will send it via auspost or courier, but you pay for the postage whatever it ends up being (they will tally things up and let you know the delivery cost + handling fees before charging your card). Can't do it online though and only applies to small orders (things that fit in Auspost standard boxes pretty much).

        • +1

That’s not accurate from my experience.

Small items get shipped using auspost or courier. Large items (eg timber) do get delivered by Ute from a local store, but such orders aren’t eligible for free OnePass delivery anyway.

My closest Bunnings is 34km away and I get parcel delivery for free with OnePass no problem.

@loksmack: Put my suburb in for any item via delivery

            wisemans ferry nsw 2775

Bunnings have never delivered to my suburb via magical onepass or otherwise - you just can't place an order. You are invited to phone the store and they will package it up to send it to you and you pay postage.

42km to Dural Bunnings via road but as it's considered too far for their drivers, they say no deal.

          • @loksmack: Yep I live close to a bunnings yet I've never had anything arrive except via post/courier

        • That's rubbish.

I was sent a hammer last week from a store 200km away.

One pass is cheap and more than recover the cost over 12 months.

          • @MS Paint: I can only speak to these Irwin clamps, local store no stock, closest is 100km away, even with 1 pass they won't deliver to my home address or allow me to C&C at local store.

            • @donkcat: My local doesn't have any stock and I just ordered some for delivery. I'll keep you updated if it gets cancelled or how far away the store is if it gets processed.

              • @MS Paint: Mmm, how long ago? I tried prob 5 mins before my comment and it comes out that it's out of stock for delivery, even tried logging out and opting to pay the $10 delivery but still got the no stock on marketplace message.

                • @donkcat: 9:01pm according to the order email time stamp.

                  • @MS Paint: That makes sense, I'm guessing they are out of stock for delivery now

                    • +1

@donkcat: I just tried it now and it's fine. Both times I had to select "change all items to delivery" for it to proceed.

                      • @MS Paint: All I get when I hit change all items to delivery is then "Out of stock. Move to list or remove item."

                        • @donkcat: Bugger. How odd.

                        • @donkcat: I just tried it again at 9:45pm and got all the way to payment no problems

                          • +1

@MS Paint: I figured out what I was doing wrong, I needed to select a store that had stock before I chose the delivery option.

                            • +1

@donkcat: Awesome. I just received shipping and tracking notification from a store 100km away.

                            • @donkcat: Just got delivered this morning express post. Both the store and myself are outside the express delivery network so they are just wasting money. Ohhh well.

      • I need to look into what Onepass is. 😅

    Give 'em the clamps?

    • +3

      The CLAAAAMMPPSSS!!!

  • Thanks mate, had these flimsy clamps from eBay, these look heaps better, just bought two sets delivered via onepass cheers.

  • These are great for carpentry or even metalwork if you don’t have a big magnet around .
Like having another set of hands handy.
I keep a couple in the 4b as well , probably should carry ht wire but these are light, easy and potentially useful/useless.

Thanks! just bought an old shed that passes as a home these days. I'll surely get my money's worth out of these - spendin the foreseeable future renovating this place 👍

Nice to find these expensive things on sale for a change. The irwin clamps beat the rubbish clamps I’ve tried from Craftright and Aldi and ebay no name. Irwin are designed so much better for one hand operation

  • +1

I have a dozen of these already, but they're good to have handy in all your work spaces.

I just bought a pack and got free delivery using OnePass. The option wasn't obvious to me, so here's what I did..

Followed the link to the Bunnings site.
    I signed in using OnePass.
Added the clamps to my cart.
    Went to the checkout phase.
    Threw in my address.
Did the old CTRL+F and searched 'delivery'.
Delivery option was hidden in plain sight.
    Picked delivery.
    Paid.
Now waiting for clamps to come find me.

    Hopefully that helps someone

Probably price matching the 4 pack of Ox clamps at Mitre 10: https://www.mitre10.com.au/ox-bar-clamp-pro-mini-50kg-150mm-…

    • But Irwin are a known quality brand who make reliable tools. I'm not sure about Ox?

  • +3

    Give em the clamps

    • +5

What a great friend you must be! 🤣

      • Not only that they plan to rip off their family members too rather than simply point them towards OzBargain.

    • You flogger,you!

  • +2

I have these and Aldi ones, the Aldi are pretty good but the rubbers on these are better, and the trigger release better than a thumb release on Aldi. Grip force is similar.

    • +1

CraftRight? No way, the quality is way lower.

      • +1

        yeah IRWIN all the way!!

    • -1

The quality is slightly lower, but in saying that I've been using them for years and my only issue is the protector pad/covers come off on them now. I should probably glue them down.

Also the Craftright set you listed are twice the size, so if you needed smaller ones they wouldn't be appropriate. If not, try the Craftright set

  • Heads up for anyone ordering at Burleigh Waters, they cannot find their stock of these.

A single of these clamps are $21.98 there.

    • If they are not in the tool shop, then they would be around the front near the other promotional items.

      • The inventory worker was trying to find them for click and collect orders but he had no luck either.

    • I just got some. Heaps of stock, probably because no one can find them. They're not in the tool section, they're in a promo bin near the end of isle 12
Had to quizz a couple of staff and then some stock manager to find them. WTF???

      • Nice one.

        Easter egg hunt pro.

  • Looks like this is a decent deal, 4 for $56. These are on the small side (2x 6-in + 2x 12-in), but from a bit of online searching, these are made in Germany (I have a Bessey clamp and it's made in Germany, the quality is really good).

  • I needed 4 inch clamps recently and when I saw these thought it was only 2 by the picture. $10 each was too much and a little big. Bought 10 lots of 4 inch clamps from aliexpress for $15.17 delivered with sales and coupons. The quality of these will blitz the aliecrap, maybe a 150mms will fit nicely between my 100mm and 300mm collection? $5 clamp, can't go wrong.

  • +1

I don't think I need those, but it's in the OzBargain top 10 for the month, so must be good!

  • LOL, bought these at this price yesterday 'cos needed clamps'. Had no idea this was a special price. One of the 2 closest stores had zero stock, so maybe a soon to be clearance item?

  • I bought a set of the these for me and my dad 15 years ago for the same price. Great product, used them a lot. I've got 5 of the original 8 left with a bit of rust, a bit of glue, but still functional… so bought some shiny new one's. Do I need more? not really… but can't pass up a quality bargain.

    • +1

Same here. Lost the rubber tips for one, still have all 4 and functioning well despite some rust. Will keep these ones out of rain 👍
