Good but not Good good like these Lemon

          • @ashumz: Oh good good is good

          • @ashumz: Just want your view:
            This Lemon one or Aldi?

            • @dealhunter-007: I actually havent tried the Aldi ones which reminds me I might give them a shot first.

            • @dealhunter-007: Decide based on price per wash.

              • +1

@Sleepycat3: Aldi it is then..Wins by whole ¢3.

              • @Sleepycat3: What about performance? Doesnt matter?

                • +1

@niggardly: Aldi ones always win the choice awards for performance.

                  • @Charmoffensive: Agreed. Their gel capsules work well.

I tried the "all in one" cheaper hard tablets they sell and for me they weren't at good. Choice also confirmed that.

            • @dealhunter-007: I've been using the aldi ones since they discontinued the older range, the current ones have been excellent.

              • @AEKaBeer: Is that the logix rectangle blocks or powder? Or another gel pack?

                • +1

@niggardly: The logix gel pods, I think they're called ultimate.

After reading some comments here I just tried a cheap ass powder and it was easily as good as the various tablets I've tried. I think it's all bs now and just buy aldi powder.

      • +4

I have used Shine Powder from Woolies after Aldi changed their formula/manufacturer earlier last year. Been serving me great @ $3.90 a bottle.

        • Same here. I have used up 3 bottles last year and our dishwasher runs atleast once a day and some times twice. That's approx 3-4c/wash. Can't get cheaper than that.

        • Yeah I've used shine and aldi powder and liked both. Seems like the pod wars are a total con job to me.

        • Yep, we changed to the woollies shine powder too… I’ve been happy with its performance (Bosch dishwasher)

      • Me too! I've been using the aldi dishwashing powder for a year now. So much more economical! And washes well to boot.

    • +3

A better value with this one.
      https://www.catch.com.au/product/3-x-60pk-finish-powerball-u…

27c a capsule if you order 6 x 60pk with this one and use SALE10.

      • +3

        lemon flavour is not nice

    • Anything over 25 cents is too much, and 300 tabs would be a 2 year supply for most households I guess.

  • +4

Or 18-in-1 Aldi tablets for 17c a wash?

    • This

    • 18-in-1 disappeared from my local Aldi a couple of months ago. Only have 12-in-1 now which are slightly worse.

    • Used to work great on my older Miele which eventually broke.

Bought some cheaper appliances next round and the tablet doesn't work its magic anymore, but switched back to the Quantum and Ultimate and its ok again.

  • -3

I just use the cheapest dishwashing liquid and it works fine.

    • +3

You trying to fill our houses with suds?

  • +1

Aldi tablets all the way. Always good price.

    • +5

As a previous version Aldi fan, I've got to say the new pods are worse. Not a fan for their fat removal capabilties on non-stick cookware on eco mode. The old tablets used to clean everything away.

      • There's two types at ALDI now. The gel pods are great, but the "all in one" cheaper packet is shit.

        • I've never used the cheap ones. It's the gel pods that I'm not a fan of. Will have to find something else.

  • So many varieties of Finish now … Are these ones known for leaving that chemical-type after smell? (Like Fairy imo)

    • +1

As someone who also was very susceptible to the fairy lemon bomb, lemon tainted smell — no. Specifically why we chose these over fairy.

  • I like these. They work well.

Does catch hold any stock of any products?
With the April end will there be clearance specials?

  • +3

If you don't mind lemon, the single pack is cheaper per tablet. Not in english so don't know if they've got some sort of grey import situation

  • I heard the lemon ones leave the washed items less than great. Is this true?

    • +1

It makes your dishwasher smell weird.
It’s a very strange lemon scent

The Catch would shut down within months due to large amount of lost.

dnt forget to activate 3.5% cashbank from cash rewards

  • +1

I find half a tablet of Aldi brand (the 12 in 1) works great for one full load. Can’t really go cheaper than that. Contradict to the raving reviews the Aldi powder was pretty bad. I guess the result really depends on your dishwasher.

  • +2

Just purchased a couple of years supply of these ones https://www.catch.com.au/product/3-x-60pk-finish-powerball-u… as price each seemed like the best value in the Ultimate range.

  • Dont they leave taste on the dishes and plastic containers? :(

  • Been using coles dishwashing tablets 19cents each. They are just excellent.

  • +1

I started using ~$4 generic dishwasher powder. It has given me good results so far.

  • +1

This one has quite a nice flavour at $3.89 for a kilo. :)

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/exonic-1kg-dish-washing-powder_p…

    • The Aldi all-in-one isn't that good

  • +2

In my opinion, the dishwasher itself is a big factor. Yes, use any powder or tab you want in a good dishwasher (hell, even no detergent) and you'll get an ok/good outcome every time, versus a crappy dishwasher that you have to use two tabs or more chemicals to attain the same outcome. So although reading reviews and feedback is nice, it's possibly not that useful information either…

  • Is Catch closing? Received emails from Catch connect

    • Yes

  • +1

Any one found these leave remnants of the yellow part of the pod in the dishwasher pod compartment?

    • Only happens occasionally. Thought i may have jammed it in too far

  • How much are the new Aldi platinum ones?
Can’t find it on their website!

    • 26c each ($11.99 for 46 “capsules”)

  • I use the Finish Power because I could cut it in half.
If I put a whole tablet, it leaves that sud smell.
I'm too afraid of consuming powder remnants if I don't cut it in half.
Does anyone know if I could cut other Finish products in half?

My dishwasher repairman says only use Finish products because it causes less bubbles. Too much bubbles ruin the (LG) dishwasher apparently.

  • Does anyone know if the ecosheets ones actually safer and cleaner for dishwasher?

    • no they are junk

  • I wonder if they're going to have a fire sale when the shutdown date draws closer for catch. What a shame to close it down when Kogan offered to buy them

  • Why has no one mentioned Choice reviews. ALDI premium wins hands down!
