Superloop support were super helpful. Tested my line and confirmed I was on 100/20 and we could prove it using speedtest on LAN (not wifi)

My wifi channel width was too low - cranked it up to AC/40Hz and we're showing 100/20 now.

        • Good to hear of your positive experience with support, and that the outcome was good. Enjoy!

  • Does anyone know or have the Telstra Smart Router Gen2 working with Superloop? I don’t use the voip or 4g backup so it doesn’t matter if they don’t work on Superloop. 😊
    I am on FTTP btw.

    • Yep it’ll work, Telstra don’t lock down their modems to only work with their NBN.

  • Signed up for this yesterday around 5pm, still waiting for the SMS confirming connection. (Did not already have NBN set up prior to sign up, brand new service)

    • Check your SPAM folder, my Superloop confirmation email went there.
      Don't remember getting any SMS.

What NBN technology are you getting?
      Might need an NBN visit.

      • Yup have done that , still nothing. Other users have reported when the service is active they get a confirmation text ? Spoke so someone from super loop yesterday and they said the same .

I'm on FTTN. When I checked the status of my unit on Launtels website it said the copper is all ready and no technician visit needed.

    • update - got the email 20 mins ago that activation is successful.
now connected to the network - getting 63mbps.

  • How much notice do i need to give TPG or do i just sign up and let Superloop take care of everything?

    • +1

You need to give TPG 30 days notice of cancellation.
You will have to pay charges up until the end of the notice period. The best option is emailing [email protected] with your customer number, name, address, and requested end date.

If you want to take advantage of this offer, I think you need to sign up with Superloop before 30 September and ask them not to connect you until just before the TPG end date to minimise paying double.

      • Thank you very much Pencilman

  • does this not have a home phone service with it?

  • FYI called SuperLoop about changing plans and they offered an additional $5 off once the 6 week promo period is completed.

    • Ongoing $5 monthly discount? What did you have to ask for? Did they say for how long?

      • I just asked if i could move to a lower plan and they said I could once the 6 week free offer has expired. From memory it was for 6 months.

    • Called Superloop this morning also to downgrade plan (4 weeks in my 6 weeks free) and didn't get the $5 offer :( Will stick with them till end of month (paying $55 for 2 weeks) and might change providers if another good deal comes up.

      • Aussie broadband has one month free

  • Took up this offer about 3 weeks ago. New nbn HFC connection and up and running within a week. User error setting up my BYO router which Support were extremely helpful resolving with no wait time. Speeds typically 100+ down/19 up for 2 weeks. Some drop outs today and again got straight onto support & after a couple of ntd resets back to normal. So far very happy with the decision to join Superloop.

Does anyone know if you can get the deal again after cancelling ?

  • Thanks worked brilliantly. Changed within minutes of signing up.

Anyone know if you can upgrade to 100/40 after signing up and retain the credit?

  • I've just tried signing up through the referral link and when I get to the 'Details' page there's nothing but a heading that says - "Who is this service for?". Anyone else get this error or know how to get pass this? Cheers!

  • Just a note, took me about three tries to actually get a referral code that worked - some of them don't do the plan selection which isn't a big deal, but some of them the referral code doesn't even come through…

If you're doing this, make sure the referral says 'Existing customer' and shows a random code there, and you see the referral credit on the last step before doing complete signup.

Done now… lets see how long this takes to switch over…. FTTC.

    • Took all of about 2mins, didn't even have to restart the FTTC device or my router.

  • Moved over from AussieBB, took a couple of mins

    Free NBN for Oct yay

    • You made in time on the last day!
Well done. Enjoy Superloop - they've been great for me with excellent speeds 24/7.

  • Just signed up with a start date for mid November, exciting!

  • Hey all, anyone have any idea if we can call in to terminate at a future date (ie at the end of the 6 weeks free period)? Since SL bills a month in advance, my next bill is due on the 12th and will need to pay $50+ to cover the 2 weeks beyond the end of the free period.

    • Call Superloop, and report back.

  • Hi can any one please direct message me their referral code?

    • Thank you all. Received referral code.

  • If I sign up, will I be locked in? Does anyone know when we will get credited with the amount? I'm moving into an apartment for 3 months and wonder if I can take advantage of this for only 3 months and still get the 6weeks free

    • There is no contract period

The price adjustment is straight away

so the deal has been extended to 31 October 2020 just had an email from superloop

    • And there’s no T&Cs stating you cannot have taken advantage of this deal previously or in any time frame. Just a clause that states you must be a New Customer. But without any language to say what a new customer is or isn’t (eg. can’t have had an account in the last 6 months), I think we’re in the clear and SL would have a hard time defending if taken to TIO. So nothing stopping Victorians from porting out for a day or two and then taking advantage of this promotion again.

I think we’re in the clear and SL would have a hard time defending if taken to TIO.

Yeah good luck with thinking that.

SL are under no obligation to even take you as a customer, especially if you're believing you can port out for a day then try and get the promotion again. The system just won't accept the code based on your LOC ID and there wouldn't be a thing you can do about it.

        • Confirmed with SL over the phone that a new customer can be someone else in the household and that the new customer is eligible for this promo.

@JoeyJoeJoe: Which isn't what you said before, but you do you.

            • @Nousernamehere: I rang to clarify since you raised the objection. I'm trying to help the community by thinking outside of the box and how to take advantage of and maximise a bargain. I'm not adopting a Dr No position which you appear to be.

Good luck with your contributions though, Porthos.

              • @JoeyJoeJoe:

rang to clarify since you raised the objection

I ‘objected’ to your ridiculous claim that the TIO will even care, let alone raise a case against SL, simply because you can’t try and scam another one of the sign up offers in the mistaken belief that SL owe you to supply you a connection. They don’t.

                maximise a bargain

You’re not maximising a bargain at all, you’re the exact type of reason why these type of deals stop being offered because of people like you who try and scam it.

Good luck with your contributions though, Porthos.

I’m more than happy with my contributions to this deal and to this site, I’m not the one trying to scam it and then wonder why deals like this aren’t then offer any more because of people like you.

                • @Nousernamehere: There is no scam here despite your trying to adopt the moral high ground. SL have confirmed black and white that a new customer is eligible for this deal, including different household members. It’s because of “people like me” that others will be able to benefit from this deal a second time. And its because of people like you there’s so much negativity and egos on here.

You are “more than happy with my contributions to this deal and to this site“?? Seriously?? Get off your high horse, lose the attitude and try and help out the OzB community before criticizing others.

          • @JoeyJoeJoe: any recommendations on which provider to switch over to before porting back in? (i have already tried the ABB offer)

  • -1

This has just been extended :)

    Hey there!

Since our Victorian friends and family are still having a tough time with the mandatory lockdown in place, we at Superloop want to keep helpping everyone stay connected from the safety of their homes!

We have now extended our current offer for ALL new Victorian nbn referral connections FREE internet for 6 weeks on our SUPERFAST 100/20Mbps Unlimited plan until 31 October 2020.

  • Just signed up, took about 3 minutes.

    • Well done. Superloop have been great for me on HFC-NBN.

  • Just signed up also. Took about 10 minutes to be switched over on HFC NBN. Coming off 250/20 from ABB, which was fun while it lasted, but can no longer justify the price, especially with 6 weeks free :)

  • So i tried ABB's one month offer, then moved to SL.

If I move back to ABB with another member of the household, to take advantage of another 1 month (qualify as new customer?), can then switch back to SL with a future date?

Would this be doable before the 31/10?

      • well I tried to signup for ABB now, and it says "Invalid promo/referral code provided"

tried neighbors address and it worked.

        need to find another provider

  • This is all too confusing for me. I’m on Telstra high speed cable and have to go to nbn in the next month. Although I reckon cable is awesome, but anyway, can anyone just simplify the cheapest but fastest provider for inner melbourne. Thanks

Mate Communicate are pretty good, evening peak times can be a bit slower, but mostly good.
AussieBB are very good, but you pay for it
Superloop are somewhere in the middle cost wise, not sure about performance just yet (signed up for this deal)
Belong, probably the cheapest, but you definitely get what you pay for
