  • Only $20 off the mobile plan for me :(
And I need a new connection, moving into a new place end of the month

    • You ungrateful swine !

      • That's me!

    • The codes for my $20 off mobile and NBN deals are the same so maybe try your code on the NBN page

  • Not sure what others experience has been, but it seems to cut out intermittently for me. On the 25/10 plan.

    • +1

Been on this for almost a year now I think.. been really good for me. The occasional drop out but only for a few seconds (maybe once a week)

      • Hmm, you're lucky. I reckon mine's doing it maybe 3-4 times a week and the drop out is a minute or so. Sometimes have to restart the modem. Minor inconvenience but still.

        • +2

When I had my HFC NBN installed some years ago, I was experiencing 2-3 drop outs per week.
I added a small consumer UPS to power the NBN NTD and the problem disappeared.
I assume that we were experiencing brief power brownouts (not enough to notice, but enough to upset the NTD) which the UPS smoothed out.

    • What type of NBN connection do you have? FTTN?

    • Twice I thought my FTTP was constantly dropping. I called More support and they said everything looked good from their end. Turned out to be some devices on my network pulling it down (first cheap network switch, then second time DVR cameras).

    • When I first connected it was solid. Then a few weeks after I get a few disconnections a day. I need to call and ask about it. I’m on the second lowest plan, FTTN

  • And I just signed up to Superloop this morning!
The joys of being new to the country and just needing something quickly

    • You'll have better support, service, and a decent online dashboard with super loop.

  • No IPv6 Support.

They sent emails out to existing customers on 8-Jul-2024 advising of forthcoming price increases effective 1-Aug-2024.

The new prices are shown on their website.

    $72 > $76
    $88 > $92
    $94 > $96
    $99 > $100
    $115 no change
    $135 no change

  • This can be stacked for 2 NBN plans per account.

  • Nope, can't see the offer in the app…

  • i tried this more telco once, it never got connected after 3 days

  • +1

We had their FTTP 1000/50 product, as well as tried their mobile phone product. Speeds weren't bad.

Sticky IP and no CGNAT by default, which was nice. Tech support not the best, but expected. You need to tell them with a fair bit of notice that you're cancelling, and they will not auto-cancel you even though they send you an email noting that another provider has taken over the connection, and the support is not willing to go out to bat for you to get a refund of your month's bill that you didn't use.

Reception not as good as Telstra/Boost - partner churned from Telstra to More, and noted a drop in service. Churned them back to Boost, and they were happier. Was cheaper to be on Boost anyway, so we're happy with that.

  • Paying out of my nose for Telstra NBN, at $105/m now. But it just works.

I WFH, so too scared to jump ship, would save so much.

    How reliable are More ?

    • Recently switched from Origin (backed by AussieBB) to More. I find Origin is better in terms of reliability though YMMV. It's not really bad but occasionally there are periods like 15-20 mins when the speed is compromised - I imagine it wouldn't be great if it happens during call etc.

    • I WFH and have had the More 1000/50 plan on FTTP for over a year without any issues.

Probably gonna depend where you live, and how good the Vocus network is there, but I’ve had no issues in Brisbane.

    • I also WFH, and using more for last 10 months, I havent had any issues so far.

  • If you have a home loan with them you might have got a 50% off for 3 years code

    • I got the code but hesitated. Then missed it so went for 40%. Hopefully it will repeat!

    • How do you get 50%?
      Randomly?

  • For those who just want something basic like NBN25, Flip Connect has NBN25 for $39p/m for the first 6 months. Offer ends 31st July.

  • +1

Been with these guys over a year. All good, speed tests reach over 900Mbps

Going to churn out than back in to take advantage of the 40% off I have in my CBA yello offers (They won't apply it now even though I told them this is what I'll do anyway)

    • Earlier in the year I just signed up with a code over an existing plan and it worked fine. There was 1 month where the discount wasn't applied because I signed up too late. Not sure if that'll still work now though.

      • Update: Spoke to a different rep, was going to ask about setting up a new connection with the code, he said he can apply the new code to my account….

        • So it worked in the end without needing to churn out/in? I've just run out of the initial 12 months.

    • Does anyone know if you can churn to tangerine?

      • Why wouldn't you be able to?

  • Ive been with them on the 25/10 VDSL for a few months now (churned from iiNet) - runs well, seemless change-over, no noticeable difference in performance - would recommend.

    Was paying $75 p/m, now $43.20

  • Can one claim this if have claimed 3 months free previously?

  • What is eligible transaction?
Is $1 purchase from supermarket considered eligible?
Scrolled through various terms pages but can't find it.

    • I came here wondering this too, might try 5 or 30 1 cent transactions and see how it ends up!

Though, website says this also counts? So I could just send money to my partner or friend and then get it all back later?

Payments or transfers to a third party:
Payments or transfers to an account where you’re the account holder, joint account holder or a cardholder are not considered a payment or transfer to a third party.

  • I've already double-dipped on the CBA/More offers. Am tempted to go again, but I'd like to test another provider to see what differences there are.

  • Been on it for about 2 weeks and speeds have been fantastic. Glad to be off of 5G and able to game again.

  • Just an FYI: Don't wait to take up Yello offers. I had a 6 months Disney plus offer which I didn't take advantage of, as it said Expires 31-Aug-24 (unless withdrawn earlier)

And yesterday I thought to use the code, but it's disappeared from my offers list :(

    • I just got my CommBank account setup this months.
Does it mean all I have to do is to complete 30+ ($1, lol) outbound transactions this month to get Yello activated next month?

      • +1

Yeah. I've done 30x$1 payid transfers. The benefit took a week or two in the next month to appear. And the code stays in your account even if you lose yello status I think

          • @xwx: True true. Good tip.

And yeah my user ID is pretty low lol. Used to go by CVonV

          • @xwx: My Disney offer re-appeared today!

        • Did you make the PayID transfers to another bank account of yours? The T&Cs say that transfers to an account owned by you won't count as an eligible transaction. Not policied?

  • Anyone has a spare code?

  • Thanks OP. Signed up for 30% OFF.

  • Anyone have a 40% code?

    • Post a classified wanted listing so people can help you.

  • does anyone know if a telstra smart modem would still work when switching these guys or do I need to get a new one.

    • Yes it does work. You would need to enter a username and password in the settings though

  • Has anyone checked used this deal post June 30th , cause the ad still appears in my yello deals but obviously it has expires 30th June . Wondering if that is just to capture the price change though and whether they are still offering 35% off the new higher nbn price post start of July

    • Yes. The discount is still available for me. The question is, do I quickly jump on it if it's going to expire at midnight tonight?

  • I am wondering if anyone can share a 35%-40% discount code?

  • called More NBN and found that I misunderstood the meaning of "debit" card. My CBA keycard shows the word "debit" so I think it can be used for payment but the CS rep said it must be CBA credit or debit VISA/mastercard.

then I found I can upgrade my current keycard to debit mastercard without any extra fee…. yeah!
i.e., once I got the card (supposed in 10 days), I can apply for the More NBN.

    • +1

You might lose the eftpos logo and therefore not be able to avoid surcharges by inserting card and selecting SAV or CHQ? Not sure, using trial and error to find out.

  • Just received my discount code from the CBA. Soon going to try for my third go in three years at getting discounted NBN from More.

  • Anyone got a spare 40% off code they're happy to share?

  • Also looking for a spare 40% off code + $20 off a month for More Telecom. Thanks!

  • Also looking for a spare 40% off code.
If anyone would be happy to share?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

  • Has anyone had luck getting a second 12 months of discounts for NBN without cancelling and signing up again?

I called more customer service and they applied the new discount code I gave them and said to wait 1-2 bus days and it should apply. But the customer service agent wasn't confident if it will work or not.

    • Yes. I asked online chat, first person said no. I asked again a couple of months later just before my last code was about to expire and the rep. applied it for the next month and on going for the 12 month period.

      • Thanks for confirming. I guess I'll find out on my next bill.

Their online account is shocking, you have no idea what discounts you have and when it will finish.

The only way is on the invoice each month.

  • Connected recently. They've moved to CGNAT by default. Confirmed by users in Whirlpool too. You can ask to move to dynamic for free. Static IP costs $5 extra. Also there was a network outage within hours of getting connected. Maybe it's coincidence but does not bode well for their future reliability. Speed and ping are good so no complaints about that.

    • I've been with them for over a year, and maybe have had 1 outage in that time for a few minutes.

Get download speed of over 800Mbps when connected via ethernet. Pings under 20 for most games

      • Yes. As I said no complains about speed or latency. And the outage may just be a coincidence. I was just unlucky to get connected on the same day they had an outage.

    • Just signed up and defaulted to CGNAT too, only option was static IP for the $5 extra. How did you get the dynamic IP for no charge?

I'm looking for a spare 40% off code + $20 off a month for More Telecom, thanks.

  • Just FYI webchat may blatantly lie to you due to either ignorance, incompetence, or malice.

I have been with them for 12 months with the 40% code - nil issues really, come the start of the 11th out of the 12 months I am charged the full price of $121 for 1 month of 1000/50 (normal price $135 which is ridiculous, but I had 10% discount as paying by CBA card) as opposed to the discounted rate of $81.

I spoke to a webchat agent about any deals to keep me as a customer given there were lots of other sign up deals, the agent said that they were happy to apply my code for a further 12 months of 40% discount, despite already having had 12 months of discount. Confirmed that this would be applied to my bill, despite already having the discount.
I spoke to another webchat agent who said that this couldn't be applied to my current bill, but "confirmed" that this was applied to my next bill.

Come my most recent bill I am once again charged $121 per month for 1000/50, so despite reassurance from 2 webchat agents above, my discount still has not applied and now I have paid their overinflated prices for 2 months when I should have just churned to a different company like I already planned.

TLDR: Take what their webchat says with a grain of salt.

    • +1

Hope it gets sorted for you soon.. Do you need to do 30+ outbound transactions each month in order to get this 40% discount every month?

      • +1

You need a homeloan with them too.

  • 2h30 for the activation process
Ordered 12h and was active on 2h30pm

  • just annoyed they jack it up without notice.. super annoying - end of 12mth period on last coupon, get bill move 70 to 110.. wasn't happy
