  • Only $20 off the mobile plan for me :(
And I need a new connection, moving into a new place end of the month

    • You ungrateful swine !

      • That's me!

    • The codes for my $20 off mobile and NBN deals are the same so maybe try your code on the NBN page

  • Not sure what others experience has been, but it seems to cut out intermittently for me. On the 25/10 plan.

    • +1

Been on this for almost a year now I think.. been really good for me. The occasional drop out but only for a few seconds (maybe once a week)

      • Hmm, you're lucky. I reckon mine's doing it maybe 3-4 times a week and the drop out is a minute or so. Sometimes have to restart the modem. Minor inconvenience but still.

        • +2

When I had my HFC NBN installed some years ago, I was experiencing 2-3 drop outs per week.
I added a small consumer UPS to power the NBN NTD and the problem disappeared.
I assume that we were experiencing brief power brownouts (not enough to notice, but enough to upset the NTD) which the UPS smoothed out.

    • What type of NBN connection do you have? FTTN?

    • Twice I thought my FTTP was constantly dropping. I called More support and they said everything looked good from their end. Turned out to be some devices on my network pulling it down (first cheap network switch, then second time DVR cameras).

    • When I first connected it was solid. Then a few weeks after I get a few disconnections a day. I need to call and ask about it. I’m on the second lowest plan, FTTN

  • And I just signed up to Superloop this morning!
The joys of being new to the country and just needing something quickly

    • You'll have better support, service, and a decent online dashboard with super loop.

  • No IPv6 Support.

They sent emails out to existing customers on 8-Jul-2024 advising of forthcoming price increases effective 1-Aug-2024.

The new prices are shown on their website.

    $72 > $76
    $88 > $92
    $94 > $96
    $99 > $100
    $115 no change
    $135 no change

  • This can be stacked for 2 NBN plans per account.

  • Nope, can't see the offer in the app…

  • i tried this more telco once, it never got connected after 3 days

We had their FTTP 1000/50 product, as well as tried their mobile phone product. Speeds weren't bad.

Sticky IP and no CGNAT by default, which was nice. Tech support not the best, but expected. You need to tell them with a fair bit of notice that you're cancelling, and they will not auto-cancel you even though they send you an email noting that another provider has taken over the connection, and the support is not willing to go out to bat for you to get a refund of your month's bill that you didn't use.

Reception not as good as Telstra/Boost - partner churned from Telstra to More, and noted a drop in service. Churned them back to Boost, and they were happier. Was cheaper to be on Boost anyway, so we're happy with that.

  • Paying out of my nose for Telstra NBN, at $105/m now. But it just works.

I WFH, so too scared to jump ship, would save so much.

    How reliable are More ?

    • Recently switched from Origin (backed by AussieBB) to More. I find Origin is better in terms of reliability though YMMV. It's not really bad but occasionally there are periods like 15-20 mins when the speed is compromised - I imagine it wouldn't be great if it happens during call etc.

    • I WFH and have had the More 1000/50 plan on FTTP for over a year without any issues.

Probably gonna depend where you live, and how good the Vocus network is there, but I’ve had no issues in Brisbane.

    • I also WFH, and using more for last 10 months, I havent had any issues so far.

  • If you have a home loan with them you might have got a 50% off for 3 years code

    • I got the code but hesitated. Then missed it so went for 40%. Hopefully it will repeat!

    • How do you get 50%?
      Randomly?

  • For those who just want something basic like NBN25, Flip Connect has NBN25 for $39p/m for the first 6 months. Offer ends 31st July.

Been with these guys over a year. All good, speed tests reach over 900Mbps

Going to churn out than back in to take advantage of the 40% off I have in my CBA yello offers (They won't apply it now even though I told them this is what I'll do anyway)

    • Earlier in the year I just signed up with a code over an existing plan and it worked fine. There was 1 month where the discount wasn't applied because I signed up too late. Not sure if that'll still work now though.

  • Ive been with them on the 25/10 VDSL for a few months now (churned from iiNet) - runs well, seemless change-over, no noticeable difference in performance - would recommend.

    Was paying $75 p/m, now $43.20

  • Can one claim this if have claimed 3 months free previously?

  • What is eligible transaction?
Is $1 purchase from supermarket considered eligible?
Scrolled through various terms pages but can't find it.

  • I've already double-dipped on the CBA/More offers. Am tempted to go again, but I'd like to test another provider to see what differences there are.

  • Been on it for about 2 weeks and speeds have been fantastic. Glad to be off of 5G and able to game again.

  • Just an FYI: Don't wait to take up Yello offers. I had a 6 months Disney plus offer which I didn't take advantage of, as it said Expires 31-Aug-24 (unless withdrawn earlier)

And yesterday I thought to use the code, but it's disappeared from my offers list :(

    • I just got my CommBank account setup this months.
Does it mean all I have to do is to complete 30+ ($1, lol) outbound transactions this month to get Yello activated next month?

      • +1

Yeah. I've done 30x$1 payid transfers. The benefit took a week or two in the next month to appear. And the code stays in your account even if you lose yello status I think

        • +2

I'd suggest screenshot the codes you intend to use: I've seen them disappear (eg Disney+) or update but take much time to reappear (eg More codes) and the former were still valid. It was a good run on future-scheduled 3mth morefreebies!

PS feel like I've seen your name around here for yeeeears! ;)

          • @xwx: True true. Good tip.

And yeah my user ID is pretty low lol. Used to go by CVonV

            • @CVonC: I was never able to determine what it meant if anything. Still can't! Probably mid-08 for me, only made an account when I got sick of the sketchy ads served by the ad syndicaters (not OB site fault) that caused an auto-redirect on hover / scroll touch.
