      These are TI-EC-13004 (2018), they have replaceable batteries.

  Non-replaceable batteries. Tile seems to be moving a lot of their functionality behind a subscription wall as well, so even if you buy the ones with replaceable batteries, it will cost you over the years to keep the functionality.

    I have an OG Tile and ran into same issue… I ended up barely using the Tile since it was either oversensitive or not sensitive/late making it not too useful. The Apple version, whilst Apple-priced, might fare a bit better thanks to more widespread adoption and OS integration.

  Apple Airtags should be announced in the next few months for those wanting streamlined ease of use within the Apple ecosystem (and hopefully no additional 'pro' subscription fees)…

    Apple will have wireless-rechargeable, but still non-replaceable, battery. Half the thickness, but made of glass.

      Great, if they are rechargeable there is no need to replace the battery. Btw, the last two generations of Tile Mates do have replaceable batteries.

  I have around 30 of these tiles for work purposes. I've found them to be very hit and miss. I really wouldn't rely on them or recommend them.

    true, I have the pro model from last last year's prime day. it's still better than nothing.
