$5 more expensive than previous deal but still an excellent price once you factor in cashback from Samsung AU.

Thank you for the heads up, was looking at Asus Rog from them.
Shocking. Are they the same group as PCBytes? I was thinking of getting 10 of this drive to upgrade my workplace. I now have to hold back for other sellers. I am not in a hurry.
Wow, that is pain… I feel for you.
that is horrible customer service, feel for the guy 3k is allot of money
thank's for this, almost pulled the trigger
…Dayum..I actually just spoke to one of their customer service on Wednesday. My Gigabyte Aero 15x that I bought in November 2018 had some issues recently. Won't boot up and found out it was a dead SSD that came with the laptop. Customer service was relatively helpful and send me a return label and told me they will replace it with a brand new laptop even if its just a dead ssd since its still under warranty. I'm from Perth too so they said anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks for it to be replaced. Hope everything goes well.
Edit 1: To be fair, bought several stuff from Wireless 1 before and they turn out alright after 3 years of use. First issue ever and their delivery time isnt that bad if u live in the metro area.
Has anyone managed to submit a claim? Mine keeps saying the Serial is wrong even tho I'm typing it in right (serial on the HDD not on the box because that's short 1 character)..
I've submitted 2 so far.
I had issues when they had the NBA 2k promotion. I emailed support and they passed it onto their IT team. Maybe two weeks later they got back to me and said it was fixed. Submitted it and it worked after that.
Their systems must just be really shitty.
I put in for the promo back in July and the incompetent clowns (Samsung) have still not processed my payment. Evert month I get an email that payment has failed, I sent them an email confirming bank account and then complete different account to deposit into and still nothing.
Emails, Facebook phone calls all amount to zilch so far.
I've got an approved claim there which they still haven't paid.
Bought 3, submitted 2 successfully. No payment yet and it's been 6 weeks.
One said incorrect serial. 5 emails later, still waiting for them to add the serial to the online tool… and that's after I had to threaten to complaint to get them to reply to the email.
Scarry customer care of Wireless1
Bought the SSD during the previous deal on their website. Still haven’t been shipped to me. I will definitely not purchase anything from them again.
On the contrary, I've bought heaps of parts from them in the past (including those SSDs), and each has arrived on time. YMMV, I guess.
I bought some from them before, never have problem but recently bought from Computer Alliance during 10% off.
My experience with computer alliance was much better. My Razer mic was faulty and they sent me a replacement before I shipped the faulty one back.
@HDer: Because I have eBay Plus, last time I bought a wrong motherboard from CA that didn't work with last gen CPU, they allow me to return it even I have opened up the motherboard back panel blanket.
Hope that was just my experience.
Thought wireless 1 was one of decent seller. I have bought heaps of stuffs from them as being posted here on OzB. Luckily I haven’t got any issues with warranty or such but makes me think twice now.
I bought a 27GL850 on ebay which was also listed as in stock on there website. After a week (yesterday) of it not being sent, I called and asked why it hasn't been posted yet. They said there was a "lead time" and it doesn't mean its in stock. What utter BS. While I'm not too worried as I have my ebay money back gaurantee. What I am worried about is if there is an issue with the monitor though when/if it arrives after reading this. Also the time wasted until I get my monitor just wasn't worth it.
They don't respond to ebay messages or emails either. 0 points for guessing what feedback I'll leave whatever happens.
This is how stupid eBay is, they have a 15% coupon but there is no way to know where it works.
The SSD link ion eBay does not list the code for this offer, you just need to know. Or more accurately, try the code on everything you may want to buy.
Ridiculous.
If you're logged in as an eBay plus user, the coupon shows up on the item listing if it applies.
Pay only AU $165.75 [ Show me how ]
The annoying thing is that you have to go into the item details page to see that. If you ran a search or looked at items in your watch list, you couldn't tell if a code discount applies to any of them.
Was thinking of pulling the trigger yesterday, glad I didn't. I need a new SSD.

Probs better deal
Cheaper yeah, but not same speeds. Horses for courses.

BX500 cakes it with sustained writes and with random read/writes.
https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8912/crucial-bx500-960gb-s…Would I buy an 860 Evo for my mother…. yes
Would I buy a BX500 for my mother…. no
How does this compare to Samsung T5??
This is a Solid State Drive that goes into a computer, not an external drive.
If you want to use this as an external drive, you’ll have to buy an enclosure.
Is it weird that only some of their items are eBay Plus free shipping eligible? I've never really paid attention before.
Highly recommend Wireless1 for RMA/Warranty. Had a dud Netgear Orbi arrive. Extremely helpful. Will be purchasing from them again.
out of stock
last person bought 10…
What a prick, I was waiting to get home so I could get one ffs
Wjats the diff between the EVO and the QVO?
The later is under $150 before cashback
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Aus-Stock-Samsung-860-QVO-1TB-2-…You want the EVO. QVO uses lower quality tech, not sure on the specifics.
Looking at @Gordon88’s vid, the safer speed is the same up to 42gb. And it’s only the expected life span 360tb writes vs 600tb write. That is the only real difference.
So for method only uses mine lippy for under 20hrs/wk, there is no difference.
Do Samsung make Pro versions of these SSDs? My older Samsung Evo 840 is a Pro version.
They do, but the only practical difference is a bit better endurance, speed and warranty are both the same. It's definitely not worth spending twice as much on a pro compared to an evo for the same capacity.
@BenR31415: Thanks. Funny you mention the endurance thing. My Evo 840 Pro has been running for the last 6+ years without a hitch. I bought a newer Evo 850 (not pro version) that died within 1.5 years. Samsung were great with the warranty and gave me a full refund though. But given that I was using that drive in my desktop for the OS and all my applications, its not what I want to see failing. Luckily I had a back up of that drive only a month or two old so no real harm done. But the Pro version has demonstrated its endurance.
@Trishool: Interesting. The 850 series is when they moved from 2D NAND to 3D NAND which has an endurance benefit, and the TBW rating on the 850 Evo is within a couple of TB of the 840 Pro (or double depending on capacity). The endurance rating doubles from the 850 Evo to the 860 Evo, and doubles again from the 860 Evo to the 860 pro.
I've had three 850 evos in my system with no issues for several years, and it's well regarded as one of the most reliable drives on the market.
These guys take a week+ before it even gets posted. Be prepared to wait.
unlucky, did well with this sale it seems.
Decent price, used the 3% off code because eBay Plus can EAD. Have purchased from these guys before, no issues.
Purchased 4:30pm
Shipping 6:00pm
ETA NSW: Wednesday 05/02/19Great SSD!
No more stock?
Today is the last chance to grab Samsung SSDs before the rebate promo expires tonight…
Samsung extended the promotion for another month. Checkout the new end dates:-
Nice! Now we just have to wait for the next sale.
At least the delay gave me a chance to read up on wireless1. As Vivian's mother would say, "Ooh-ee, they are a bunch of bastards!"
