I'm based in WA and was able to successfully price match at OW to avoid waiting for shipping, however very limited stock. HN and GG refused to price match on the basis of centrecom not being a "reputable" competitor, whatever that means.

I wouldn’t be fooled by the FOMO aspect of Centrecom sales. These products are pretty much on sale all year round and the prices only get lower each time.

I’ve been watching the price of the Fold6 1TB and it has been at $2399 “on sale” for the last 3 months, and it’s much dearer than the $1511 I paid for the Fold5 512GB last year from JB.

    • How are you finding the screen and Flip in general? I'm keen on getting one, but have seen weird reviews about the screen. I get the impression the issues tech reviewers have with these sort of screens is not the same as a day to day user.

I have the Fold 6 and have no issues with the screen. You can't see the crease when in use unless you're in a very very bright environment with lots of reflections. It's speedy, cameras are great, and it's much easier to take around compared to my S23 Ultra that I had before this. One complaint is that it does heat up quite a bit when gaming, but only on the side where the external screen is. Not a major issue though.

The novelty wears out pretty fast. The screen protector that comes with the phone will probably be taken off withing a few months as it will have air bubbles at the crease soon enough. The camera is pretty crap compared to the S+ and ultra phones. The little rubber feet that cushions the closing/collapsing of the phone will fall off within a few months if you regularly put the open phone in your pocket (Asurion actually valued my otherwise excellent condition phone at $39 trade-in due to the tiny rubber cushion missing)

        • I'm still using a Fold 2 that was owned by someone else before me. Pretty heavy phone user. No defects at all even the internal screen protector.

Sure the issue exists, but it's not every Fold phone

        • Serious question, why do you need a screen protection for something that folds?

          • @Mr Frodo: Its the default screen protector.

All Z phones (Fold and Flip) gets 3x free screen protector replacement in 24 months period.

On my Fold 4, im about to request my 2nd screen protector replacement.

          • @Mr Frodo: Its not your typical glass as it folds, so even your fingernail can scratch the screen. I've got a few from my nails which I hope will come off if I get the screen protector changed.

    • Maybe true in some cases, but I needed to replace a broken phone and didn't want to wait for a deal.
This was the best price available in Australia I could find, and even better with OW price match.

If you can wait then hold old off until July, pick up a Fold or Flip 7 with promotion discounts. It'll be significantly cheaper than this with bonus credits and trade in.

I like these devices, they were like lambo and Ferrari. But for daily use I prefer Toyota camry, so will still with s25 base version once it goes on sale

  • Had a flip 3, developed bend marks [crack] after 2 half years. Took real good care of it too. No phyical damage.

  • Samsung Flip / Fold? HODL.

Besides the OPPO Find N5 is much thinner as a foldable IMHO.

    • It won't be released in Australia unfortunately

  • When you know people bought flip 4 phones for 390$ outright, this price can never be seen cheap again
