When outcast cop Richie Roberts (Crowe) sets out to bring down Lucas's multimillion-dollar empire, it plunges both men into a legendary confrontation.

Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, United 93) re-team for their latest electrifying thriller in Green Zone, a film set in the chaotic early days of the Iraqi War when no one could be trusted and every decision could detonate unforeseen consequences.

Inglourious Basterds:

In German-occupied France, Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. Known to their enemy as “The Basterds,” Raine’s squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own…

Kick Ass:

The life of Dave Lizewski is one of scarce problems; his day to day actions rarely stray from reading the comic books that he loves oh so much. Dave has a nice life and is content with it until the day he decides to change, he decides to make a difference with his life, he decides to become a Superhero!

Dave’s life suddenly changes when he walks out of his house clad with superhero mask and a decorative baseball bat, the only problem with Dave being a superhero… he has no powers. But like all good comic book readers, this doesn’t matter to Dave; his dream will not be swayed just because he lacks the skills of your everyday superhero.

The Kingdom:

Oscar winners Jamie Foxx (Collateral) and Chris Cooper (Jarhead) team up with Jennifer Garner (Daredevil) and Jason Bateman (Smokin’ Aces) to ignite the screen in this high-intensity action thriller.
A team of elite FBI agents sent to Saudi Arabia to solve a brutal mass murder find themselves in a race against time to find a killer before he strikes again.

Out of their element, under heavy fire and trusting no-one, the team must join forces with their Saudi counterparts. As these unlikely allies begin to unlock the secrets of the crime, the team is led into a heart-stopping, do-or-die confrontation.

Public Enemies:

From visionary director Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) comes the film inspired by one of the country’s most captivating and infamous outlaws – John Dillinger.

Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean series) stars as the charismatic and elusive bank robber marked by the FBI as America’s “Public Enemy Number One.” Academy Award® winner* Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose) plays Billie Frechette, the only woman capable of capturing his heart. Hunted relentlessly by top FBI agent Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale, The Dark Knight), Dillinger engages in an escalating game of cat and mouse that culminates in an explosive legendary showdown.

Don't call them and let them know they have a typo.

      Just let them deliver them.

      • I agree.. + they should know they have a typo if they have removed it.

Could be stock selling out though?

      • +3

Somehow I don't think they're going to 'just deliver' 7,000+ of these bundles if it's a typo.

    • +1

We regret to inform you that the number you have dialled is disconnected, or unavailable.
10 minutes ago it went to The Hut after hours service….

  • +3

Well my order with TheHut.com is showing as awaiting stock pickup. No emails to say it's been cancelled. Plus they had already emailed me a 10% discount coupon, so I applied it to this and got the 10 Blu Rays for only 9.76 pounds!

  • Call centre guy is going to find out if this will be honoured, and send an email.
At least… I -think- that's what he said.

    • +8

So you actually alerted them to this? Great.

      • +1

I always saw a sale transaction as a contract between a seller and a buyer. For the buyer's money, the seller has an obligation to provide the goods paid for, otherwise, they are breaking the contract. Lucky for zavvi, a term of sale is that they don't take your money unless they can give you the goods. If not for that policy, they would be sensationally boned :)

      • +6

do you guys seriously think they aren't already aware of this issue?

      • +6

Because they wouldn't have noticed otherwise

        • +1

between here and the UK over 3000 positive votes on the respective sites, your right I don't think they would have noticed! Unless people were voting and not buying which is highly unlikely! I hope they honour the price but I'm not holding my breath!

      • +6

Yeah I'm sure the thousands of orders would have gone through completely unnoticed until I mentioned it.

        • -2

They might not of gone through thousands of orders but they might of shipped of a couple hundred, as I don't think these are the only orders they got within the past 24 hours.

  • +1

deal is back up on zavvi, but says its sold out and the price is now £84.95

    http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/ultimate-action-blu-ray-bundle-…

    • +2

Interesting it has sold-out. Maybe they are going to honour the orders received from it?

      • God I hope so

  • I cannot understand why people insist to call them to let them know.

    • +2

They would know anyway man, I think people are just anxious to find out whether or not it will be honoured.

  • +5

" Your order has been cancelled and you are banned from using Zavvi in future.
    Have a nice day! "

    jus kiddin. :P

    • +4

wow. sooks much? was a joke!

      • Apparently humour won't be tolerated around these parts.

        • +1

Apparently. But I still love you x

      • You got mobbed son lol!

  • If this was a typo, imagine how loved they would be if they actually honoured it!

    • +2

Wishful thinkin. Customer Service is long gone. Cant remember above and beyond customer service for a long time.

      • +1

Ye of little memory. Ubisoft honoured free games all the way back in March: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/41279

The difference here is physical goods vs downloads but the principle is the same.

        • +1

and once again, you are welcome :).

      • +3

What about the time when Nandos honoured the Grill'd vouchers? It wasn't even Nando that screwed up!

Customer services isn't long gone… just rare.

        • probably normal nando prices are a MAJOR ripoff?

  • +2

With the likelihood being that it's an honest, obvious pricing error, who thinks they're actually going to honour all the orders? There were forums spamming this offer all over the net all day, so the volume of orders received is likely to be in the thousands. Even if they're only losing £50 a pop (conservative) per bundle, this equates to a vast and possibly untenable loss. Historically, businesses have tended to enact T&C clauses that give them an out rather than cop a huge loss like this.

  • +3

Honouring price mistake are a grey area, even in Australia. Just saying you will buy something doesn't mean there is a contract. There is offer, consideration, acceptance etc etc. Happens all the time. If they find it's a price mistake, warn everyone quickly enough and don't take money it's unlikely to be an issue. They could conceivably get done for false advertising, but it is by no means a shoe in and if the company is in the UK you would have to take it up with consumer affairs in the UK.

    • Well put. Given Zavvi's terms, they don't charge you until they are ready to ship the order which in turn means there's no enforceable contract until this point.

      • Just because they haven't taken your money yet doesn't mean it isn't an enforceable contract. An agreement to exchange goods for payment at a later date is perfectly valid and enforceable. That said, please don't try to take the hardline to enforce this contract anyone, it would be a huge waste of time because you know it was an innocent price mistake.

        • +3

Further to above, here are the steps just in case people are confused:

          1) Zavvi advertises the products they are selling = Invitation To Treat.
          2) People go to the checkout and 'offer to purchase' the items in their basket = Offer.
          3) Zavvi accepts this offer by sending written confirmation of order being fulfilled = Acceptance.

No one is obligated until step 3.

You handing over money to Zavvi doesnt obligate them. They still need to accept your offer. Likewise if you go into order history, you can cancel your order prior to receiving their acceptance. No one is obligated to complete until acceptance has been received.

        • not even close to true unless of coarse your up with UK law.

        • +1

The above is 100% UK Law. That's where Zavvi is based.

A price list or catelogue is not an 'offer' in contract law, its an 'invitation to treat'. You being happy with the price and offering cash for the product doesnt obligate the seller to sell you that item. Otherwise you could go into any retailer and wave about a catelogue demanding the 100 items are sold to you. Not so. Ok some major retailers have 'consumer friendly' policies, but these shouldnt be confused with the law. An advertisement is most certainly not an offer. An offer needs specifics (quantities, payment method, availability of item etc), and then the retailer can decide on whether they wish to accept.

        • You have offered them money, they haven't taken it. The contract is not complete. They are not obliged to sell you something just because you want it or even because they have advertised it.

          UFO explains it well below.

  • Total PWN-age all round I reckon! hehe - But some peeps are gunna cry a river .. and my money is on us Antipodean colonial riffraff

  • does anyone have a reciept for pricematching

    • +9

Any employee that price matches this in Australia needs to be shown the door.

      • there is those dumb employees though

  • +10

      • I paid with paypal (direct debit) and they took my money straight away.

  • Customers who purchased the Blu-ray bundle will receive an email in the next hour detailing the situation.
    Hmm, interesting.

    • Did you e-mail them or call them? Did they email you back?

      • This was posted on their Facebook "Customer Service" page.

        • +3

        • What did he say? Curious to know haha

        • +1

Something along the lines of "I will never buy from you again and I will not recommend you to my friends if you do not honour the deal.

It was your mistake not ours".

        • +1

          LOLOLOLOL

        • +2

          Hehe, yeah he said:
"i'm never shopping with you again and i am going to bad mouth you to all my mates if u dont honour the blue ray bundle.

          we are customers.

if you made a mistake thats your fault, not ours."

        • +1

I personally like the guy who gets straight to the point:

"Hurry up and dispatch our orders."

  • +1

geez guys give it a break, it purely was a mistake, everyone does mistakes, Zavvi is a great site cheap like aMAzon, if u cant get it, then u really cant, whats done is done, move along people :)

  • I love it when people say that……if the deal falls thru and then next week they mis print another price most people will buy again and complain again

  • +2

I'm becoming worried that I won't even get the "email". Zavvi packs up and runs

  • look at it this way" u are not at any loss, and the company is not at any loss, so its All good Mates.

  • Impatiently awaiting email.

  • +2

    • +1

  • -2

    • +1
