Dave has a nice life and is content with it until the day he decides to change, he decides to make a difference with his life, he decides to become a Superhero!

Dave’s life suddenly changes when he walks out of his house clad with superhero mask and a decorative baseball bat, the only problem with Dave being a superhero… he has no powers. But like all good comic book readers, this doesn’t matter to Dave; his dream will not be swayed just because he lacks the skills of your everyday superhero.

The Kingdom:

I have received an email stating the price error and have received a full refund. They also provided a 10% off discount for the error valid until 31.07.2011: 1424-G0P6-FMQ7

  • It was worth a shot guys!

  • +2

I missed this 'deal' so I was relieved to discover all your orders were cancelled.
It's like it never even existed :)

    • haha I thought the same as well. If I can't have it no one can ;)

      • Hitler once said that if he couldn't conquer Europe then he would nuke the continent into a scorched earth.

  • +2

Meh, oh well. Didn't truely expect this deal to go through, so not to worry - i wil be cancelling my Zavvi account as i'm not giving them the satisfaction of making this 'error' but scoring an x amount of new clients. Not working on me!

  • -2

    Scam.

  • -1

Suspicious. How do you make a pricing error from £84.95 to £10.85?

    • +7

You've never had to enter info into a database from a page and say skipped a line? I do that now and again.

      • +1

Indeed. There are just under 30 blue ray specials at 10.85. /Boring/, monotonous work. Prone to error.

  • +12

I AM SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW… Wait… No I am not - and I don't think anyone who isn't a complete moron is either.

It was always very likely that it was a pricing error, but I still ordered it on the off chance that it was some CRAZY deal. And it wasn't… No harm, no foul - AND on the plus side I got (and have already used) my 10% discount code! (Portal 2 on PS3 for about $33AUD after the discount - it came back in stock today!).

I am still a happy Zavvi customer!

    • +2

      Ditto.

I was all but certain it was a pricing error that wouldn't be processed, but was happy to make the order on the very outside chance it wasn't as I knew Zavvi would handle it cleanly.

They did so, and gave me some discount codes for the future to compensate. So I ended up ahead of the game in the end :)

Guys guys guys….shure we have lost out - but think of it….if they had honored this and the company went up the gurgler because of it….where would we be???
Stuck paying $100++ for games and $40 for blu-rays and stuff in Australia…

I am dissapoint too….but being a realist, so be it…its what happens.

    I'm still happy with them.
(and they even allowed a return on a game(present) out of the 29 days return timeframe that came without a code)

    • I have to agree. Even though I'm a bit disappointed with them, they're still a good company and i'm going to make use of my 10% off. I wasn't expecting them to honour the deal anyway.

  • let the ranters rant. the company made a mistake and they deserve the repercussions.

  • +1

Zavvi never sent me an email explaining the situation .. useless turds.

    • still waiting for mine too!

  • Sounds great!!! but too many stuff in my house now :(

  • +4

I cancelled my Battlefield 3 Limited Edition order with them and ordered again so I can use my 10% coupon :D

    • Then you should be a happy customer and not negging it :P
Their error - Your gain :)

      • I only Negged it to get it off the front page, knew it was 99% a mistake on their part

  • +2

    no deal

    • +1

      Thanks for the input Sherlock

  • +1

gotten some new spam mails today :/

  • +1

Didn't even get the cancellation email :/

    • +2

My order hasn't been cancelled and still haven't got an email either.

      • Well I did get a copy of NBA jam from zavvi, when others got cancelled, maybe your lucky?

  • 10,000 clicks

    • Exactly!

Whoa, I actually read 7 pgs of lame comments. Time to move on with life now everyone, this was an exercise in futility.

    • +6

Says the guy who read 7 pages of 'lame comments'?

      Agreed, however.

  • Only 7? Lets gun for 8

  • This reminds me of DSE Wiimotes incident, where some people actually received 6 wiimotes for price of one (including my friend), but not me :(
