Description

American Gangster:

Academy Award winners Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe team with director Ridley Scott (Gladiator) in this powerful, epic story. Armed with ruthless, streetwise tactics and a strict sense of honour, crime boss Frank Lucas (Washington) rules Harlem's chaotic drug underworld. When outcast cop Richie Roberts (Crowe) sets out to bring down Lucas's multimillion-dollar empire, it plunges both men into a legendary confrontation.

Green Zone:

Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, United 93) re-team for their latest electrifying thriller in Green Zone, a film set in the chaotic early days of the Iraqi War when no one could be trusted and every decision could detonate unforeseen consequences.

Inglourious Basterds:

In German-occupied France, Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as “The Basterds,” Raine’s squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own…

Kick Ass:

The life of Dave Lizewski is one of scarce problems; his day to day actions rarely stray from reading the comic books that he loves oh so much. Dave has a nice life and is content with it until the day he decides to change, he decides to make a difference with his life, he decides to become a Superhero!

Dave’s life suddenly changes when he walks out of his house clad with superhero mask and a decorative baseball bat, the only problem with Dave being a superhero… he has no powers. But like all good comic book readers, this doesn’t matter to Dave; his dream will not be swayed just because he lacks the skills of your everyday superhero.

The Kingdom:

Oscar winners Jamie Foxx (Collateral) and Chris Cooper (Jarhead) team up with Jennifer Garner (Daredevil) and Jason Bateman (Smokin’ Aces) to ignite the screen in this high-intensity action thriller.
A team of elite FBI agents sent to Saudi Arabia to solve a brutal mass murder find themselves in a race against time to find a killer before he strikes again.

Out of their element, under heavy fire and trusting no-one, the team must join forces with their Saudi counterparts. As these unlikely allies begin to unlock the secrets of the crime, the team is led into a heart-stopping, do-or-die confrontation.

Public Enemies:

From visionary director Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) comes the film inspired by one of the country’s most captivating and infamous outlaws – John Dillinger.

Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean series) stars as the charismatic and elusive bank robber marked by the FBI as America’s “Public Enemy Number One.” Academy Award® winner* Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose) plays Billie Frechette, the only woman capable of capturing his heart. Hunted relentlessly by top FBI agent Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale, The Dark Knight), Dillinger engages in an escalating game of cat and mouse that culminates in an explosive legendary showdown.

Robin Hood:

Academy Award winner Russell Crowe reunites with legendary Gladiator director Ridley Scott for epic action adventure in Robin Hood.

Discover the untold story of the man behind the legend as Robin, a heroic warrior, turns outlaw when he assembles a band of skilled marauders to confront injustice and lead an uprising against a weak and corrupt English King.

The Ultimate Bourne Collection:

The explosive action trilogy that takes you to the edge of your seat and leaves you breathless for more!

Matt Damon is trained assassin Jason Bourne, a single man on a pursuit to uncover the deadly covert conspiracy that stole his identity, robbed him of the love of his life and sent a legion of highly trained killers to eliminate him.

See the entire Bourne trilogy unfold with heart-stopping action, death-defying stunts and incredible white-knuckle excitement.

Back To The Future Trilogy:

Experience the Back To The Future Trilogy like never before for the first time on Blu-ray with over 2 hours of new bonus features.

Gladiator:

Forced into slavery by the corrupt, incestuous heir to the throne, Roman general Maximus (Russell Crowe) becomes a gladiator. His prowess in the arena will eventually lead him to Rome, the Colosseum and a vengeful showdown with the new emperor.

I received the same message from thehut for my order. They should be made accountable for the transaction like other store retailer. Surely you and I as consumer cannot revoke a deal.

        • +2

As they didn't accept your money and didn't advertise the deal (as people say below, it wasn't in their deals section or on the front page - someone just found it while browsing and posted it on bargain websites)… what exactly are they being held accountable for? An obvious data entry error that any fool could have seen was an error, and upon asking about it would have been and were told so?

  • +8

Only problem with this is you end up with more and more stuff in your house :S

  • i read somewhere that it might be caused by some hacker who is trying to harvest credit card details :S

    • You mean Zavvi.com?

      • Hacker?

        • on one of the other forums some people suggested zavvi got hacked, and this deal (which is outrageously cheap) may be posted by the hacker so that they can harvest credit card details, when people (probably) will not receive anything. but this is what i read, i am just pointing out the reason why i didnt buy.

      • It certainly seems suss..
I have not received an email about this deal, would've thought they'd send one out for something this good

    • +12

      Then just pay through paypal….

    • +1

      Links or it isn't true

  • +1

    Sweet mother of god. Bought.

  • WOW. BOUGHT 2 SETS JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • +1

  • +2

I don't know how they are doing it… I don't know why they are doing it… Nothing makes sense… But dear God, I just ordered it!!!

(I'll work out the minor details later :P)

  • +1

Just bought it, roughly $17 AUD for that many Blu-Ray's is amazing.

Especially for the Back to the Future set.

    Free delivery too!

  • OMG :O Ordered!

  • I cant find oz in address to send to is it not available here.

  • Why I cannot see Australia when putting in delivery address?

    • +1

For me I just logged into my Zavvi account (have bought with them before)

Which had my address saved, maybe signup for an account then try and buy

      • I have just signup but cannot even add Australia in MY account.

        • +1

          Use IE apparently

        • Worked for me using rekonq if you're using an obscure OS without IE.

      • Same. Ordered from them before. Even managed to change address. I used Firefox.

For those without accounts, I suggest creating one with your Australian address before placing an order.

    • +1

      Use IE.

  • +9

    I just bought them and I don't even have a blu ray player… :S

    • How can you add them without Australia in country selection?

      • Previously had an account.
But use IE if you don't.

      • It's in there. Don't know why you can't see it but I just double-checked and my receipt does NOT say Austria. :) (I bought a mite quickly :)

Also, just made my account then and there.

  • yep firefox doesnt show oz but explorer does ok.

  • Ordered 2 of them with Paypal, here's hoping they come through!

  • Hhaha.. bought it.. will give some as gifts too ;) (as I have a few of them already!)

  • +2

    http://www.facebook.com/zavvionline?sk=wall

    Something is definitely fishy ….

    • Maybe I should have reserved my positive vote.

    • Looks like it's all to do with one particular game pre-order, not too phased just yet..

      • Yeah I read all that too… have bought from zavvi ridiculous sales before and had no problem, but this is a little over the top

  • +1

agree this seems really suss. they are selling BTTF trilogy for 25 pounds on its own, definately dodgy
(but then again i am still tempted to try)

  • +3

    I don't even have a bluray player and I am tempted…WTF Ozbargain???

  • -2

    I hope they're all Region B.

  • hope it won't be ozbargained

  • +1

No problems with firefox if you already have an account (none for me anyway) - just waiting for the 'misprint' email - probably meant to be 100 pounds or something :P

  • "Icing"

seems too good of a deal.

  • Still can not find Australia in country selection when I use IE, anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks.

    • make an account, then log in and add the item? I used my pre-existing account, and my address was already there, with Aus as the country, no problems

    • +7

Guys if you having issues selecting Australia, try ordering through sister company www.thehut.com. Same deal
      http://www.thehut.com/blu-ray/ultimate-action-blu-ray-bundle…

      • thx for the heads up, went with that method. I have an account with the hut, payed by paypal.

      • thehut worked with Australia selection. Many thanks.

      • Thanks - I too could not find Australia in the list when using IE or Firefox - so I ordered from TheHut instead.

  • ordered one but im expecting a paypal refund in the not to distant future :)

  • man.. u cant even get one of those titles in AU for that price.. Good spotting troyww

  • -6

    • all the blue rays I've purchased fro Zavvi in the past work without fuss in my PS3, if that helps you out :D

    • -1

UK has the same region as Aus has. But I dont understand , why he is negged for asking a question.

  • Thanks.just ordered.sweet deal

  • had to use the old netbook to login through Internet Explorer, doesnt work on Chrome or Safari but what an AMAZING deal! :)
just register a new acct (if u dont have one) thru IE so u can select Australia as your country and then you are good to go!!
Now back to the site for more shopping!

    • Chrome worked fine for me :)

      True OzBargainer.

    • I was thinking exactly the same thing.

  • That's amazing!
Just ordered, don't care how long it will take really.

Luckily I only already have the Bourne Trilogy. I'll give one away as a gift or something.

  • +1

    • FF didn't work for me but IE9 OK.

  • have ordered…dont have any funds in the paypal so here is hoping my amex details werent harevested!

    • +5

post your amex details here and I'll verify it wasn't. ;)

  • ordered, but reckon it's too good to be true and order wouldnt go through eventually

  • Wonder what the odds are that they will honour this deal.

  • well its a one day deal so they must know how cheap they are selling it for

  • Just ordered, see how it goes~

  • +1

Just ordered one (resisted the urge to be greedy and order multiple packs). They had my details on file, so it was just a couple of clicks and "order confirmed".

It has to be a pricing mistake, it'll be interesting to see if they honour the deal.

  • +1

"you will not be charged until order is dispatched"

    • What about Paypal Paymemnts?

      • its what i used.

  • Ordered using IE9, PAYPAL and "Australia" appeared OK.

  • +1

Thanks for posting this. I'll put this collection in my emergency gifts for friends pile.

    • +7

Gifts for friends with emergency piles?

  • Holy cow! No probs paying via paypal.

  • Anyone else have IE stuck on "Your order is processing"?

    • I did a refresh (risky, I know, but I'd waited 2 minutes): the page refreshed instantly and I got the order confirmation and paypal receipt emails instantly.

      • Seeing as there are no orders in my history, can I assume paypal won't do anything to charge me?

    • Took some time but it got there. Oh and thanks troyww!

  • +2

Thanks.. ordered.. and i had a 10% off coupon which brings it down to around about $15 for 15 movies :)

  • just got a $0.01 charge on my amex from Zavvi…is this normal?

    • You got charged $0.01 .. ? I got ripped! I got charged $0.02! ;)

    • +2

Yes, just an auth to check your card is legit, it will clear.

    • Confirming your credit card maybe

  • -1

Someone call them up and find out if it's for real.

    • +8

      shotgun not

  • After reading some of the comments, I'm not touching this with a barge pole

    • +6

Good. I hope the deal goes through and you miss out.

    • +10

I'm not touching this with a barge pole either.

      I used paypal instead.

  • was just a bit worried because i thought scammers sometimes did a really small charge on your CC to see if it was working etc…or is this a Zavvi regular thing they do.

    Edit: cheers kirky!
