  • I dont like the look of how this functions, you want a digital timer for a PCooker, this dial looks like it only goes up to 30mins too. Corned beef for eg. needs to cook for 40 and then have a 15mins pressure release. This doesnt even say how long since cooking ceased. Also the bowl is aluminium, so its probably got a non stick coating, avoid! Use a pressure cooker with a stainless bowl. Theres a cheap brand on ebay Heller that has stainless bowl, i got it for $80-90 on special. https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p204767…
I use it almost every night.

    • I haven't timed this model but I think it does dial up to a 40 minute equivalent. I agree it would be great to have an idea of time for some applications. For me, I guess the rotation of the dial if my application doesn't match the preset items. Most times the result is fine.

I have used this cooked for well over a year now. It has done practically everything I've thrown at it. Most of the time it's just some form of meat and veges before I walk away for 20 minutes.

Easy to use by rotating the dial. As easy to clean too.

Bought mine for maybe $80-90 and still consider it a high yield worthwhile investment.

  • Thanks for the deal OP.
Really can’t complain about the price, I’ve owned a number over the years but currently back on a slow cooker as I got fed up with the last “multi cooker” combo I had - one died outright and one started acting up, I think the fact it’s kambrook quality and has a simple mechanical dial will make it reliable. Those tiny digital buttons wear out easily in a cooking environment!

Dials are great if you want to add a smart plug to turn it on and off. Can't do that with devices that require digital on/off (and don't have resume after power failure). If the smart plug has power monitoring you can also check power consumption, which will identify when it is running and when it had stopped.

    • My digital PCooker has a 12 hour delay and then keeps things on Warm setting. Smart plug not needed

      • Sure but if you wanted to use a smart plug, a dumb timer is the way to go. Automating would also allow you to send notifications when cooking starts, when done, monitor power use, etc.
