I was actually looking at the 4K model this morning.

Gearbest have them for $2360 shipped including GST (3-8 business day shipping via DHL). I know yours is local stock, but any chance of a better deal?

Also I assume your 1 year local warranty is via you. What about if you go out of business or shut up shop? No ABN listed on your website isn't filling me with confidence..

      Hi,

      Thank you.

I think the price you mentioned is for USD not AUD. Feel free to let me know if I am wrong.

We are still new but we have a good tracked record here and on Amazon.

      ABN 41628487525.

      Kind regards,
      Eric

      • Apologies, you're right. I assumed it would default to AUD considering I was logged in but it didn't.

$3467 AUD from Gearbest so you get an upvote from me.

        Cheers,

        • Thank you ;´・ᴗ・`

From the title, I thought it was an actual laser for sale

    • frickin' "LASER" beams

        Sharks not included

  • Pilot Yuan? I've looked into you just now and I get the feeling you are a massive fly by nighter. Label Furniture PTY LTD registered to NSW, 2060. Nothing else apart from that. Tried renting a place at Buranda, QLD in 2015 etc etc etc. Amazon shop missing, various websites through Wix that are floating in nothing etc.

Well, relax mate. I've been here for quite a while and have dealed with many customers without an issue.

BTW, if you are so stressed to purchase from a Wix store than you more than welcomed to purchase from our Amazon store with 30 days free return.

  • 4k version seems to get good user reviews over on avsforum. Not in the market for a projector right now myself as I'm renting, but seems like a good deal

    • Renting doesn't stop me, I've had projectors in a dozen different rentals over the years.

      • I know, it's just an excuse I keep telling my brain so I don't splurge

I left a vivitek hk2288 4k projector in a house I'm selling (in another country) and just want the 4k projector tech to mature a little bit

Dropping 3k on an item with only 1 year warranty seems a bit risky.

    • That's my thought as well. A 3k laser projector should have a reasonable expected life time of more than 1 year.

      • With 25000 hours light advertised and that price, yes the reasonable lifetime would be longer than 1 year.

Do yourself a favour and if your after a 4k projector forget about the LED light source and get a known projector brand instead. BenQ, viewsonic, vivitek will match this performance for a cheaper price. Lamps are $100 every 3 years. Nothing to really worry about

    • I thought 4k projectors were quite pricey, have you got a link to any of these known brand 4k projectors that will match this at a cheaper price?

      • True native 4k projectors like Sony's or JVC are expensive. But this Xiaomi uses the cheapest version of the 2k DLP chip available and uses clever switching to create a 4k image.
        It uses this chip http://www.ti.com/product/DLP470TPo
Nothing wrong with this tech. The image is adequate and very sharp for home use.

Similar traditional projector but cheaper= https://www.digitalcinema.com.au/benq-tk800-4k-hdr-home-thea…

        Better projector = https://www.digitalcinema.com.au/acer-h7850-4k-ultra-hd-dlp-…
This uses the top of the line dlp chip with better contrast

        • Cheers!

      • You can find cheaper 4K projectors easily, but the reason this xiaomi 4k projector is at this price is because of its ultra short throw feature, which means it just needs a very small distance from the wall to project a large image. You won't need this if you have space or choose to mount to the ceiling. For those who need you can't find another cheaper 4k ultra short throw projector now in the market. That said I still think the price is a bit steep and would probably go for the 2k model unless you really want 4k.

    • Well the best projector for the price is actually an lcd projector. Epson 5040ub. Went on clearance on the us for about $1100 usd.

All those projectors you mentioned use DLP technology, a Texas instruments dmd to be precise and the Epson destroys them in just about every metric.

I had a calibrated 4k vivitek in a light controlled room and it was very good, just not great.

  • I own the 2k version for over 1 year. I got mine from eBay and it hasn't skipped a beat

It's amazing, I wouldn't suggest the 4k version. If you do your research. Did you know all of Marvel films are shot in 2k?

Actually over 90% of films are filmed in 2k

The 4k model is brighter. But the only time you use a projector is at night or in a designated threatre room.

    • "But the only time you use a projector is at night or in a designated threatre room."

Well that's just not true. Plenty of people use projectors in the daytime in multi purpose rooms, me being one of them.

If the light is too big a problem with a white screen that's what ALR (Ambient Light Rejecting) screens are for.

  • Out of curiosity are there any Ultra wide aspect ratio projectors?

    • Any projector will yield any aspect ratio you want.

The aspect ratio of the image chip(s) is 16:9 or slightly higher so for wider screens part of the top and bottom of the chip is not used which yields the wider image.

So there are no 'ultra wide only' projectors.

  • How long is delivery to Melbourne and is there tracking?

    Thanks.

    • Hi,

      Thanks for asking.

We mainly ship via Amazon warehouse. Usually takes 1 day to dispatch and 1 more day to deliver for Melbourne Metro area.

      Surely tracking will be provided.

      Regards,
      Eric

        Hi Eric,

        Thanks for the reply.

Is it possible to get a code to get the projector at the same price on your Amazon store?

        • Unfortunately no as Amazon charge heavy channel fees. That is why there price difference.
