Is the code how many days later you will get it?

    • +1

My last order from Banggood was delivered in 18 days from this deal using their free shipping option.

      • To be fair, that was probably the order you placed in 2017….

      • Mine is still on back order from that deal. So it depends on stock.

      • 3 months last time for me. For two cables. I forgot about until they turned up.

    • No.. you will get a “out of stock” email after that many days, plus the option to select a very “different” similar item at full price or a simple “refund” option. So annoyed with these guys last time.

  • Does anyone know how the five day forecast is determined; is there an internet link or is it just guessed at based on recent changes in barometric pressure etc.?

      Does anyone know how the five day forecast is determined;

It has a built in random number generator.

      • arc4random_uniform to prevent modulo bias

Forecast accurately the weather than the scenery is belongs to you

      Yeah ok.

Somebody set up us the bomb! :-)

  • Q&A says that it guesses.

    • +1

Sounds like you are better off with the free Bureau of Meteorology app.

      • +2

but you feel good when this guesses better than BoM even at occasional days

        • Actually if they could produce one of these devices that links to your wifi for latest forecasts (in addition to the actual temperature probe) that would be quite good.

@Gaz1: thats what i thought it was initially

      • +2

Yep, I think I'll stick with using the BOM app, and opening the door for a current temp / weather assessment.

    This one is more useful

Considering the string on that is stuck down with blu-tack I would question it's accuracy.

      • Special version for cyclone areas?

        • if board missing = cyclone

  • +1

Can anyone recommend a good entry level weather station that captures local data like rain/wind etc?

    • You should be able to find a BOM reporting station near your location online. You will also have access to hourly data for trending purposes.

Otherwise you would need to physically capture rain in a calibrated container / rain gauge, and do something similar for wind direction/speed.

Depending on what you want to spend but these are quite popular. And the seller has 20% off on ebay on reasonably regular occasions bringing them down to around $140

      • That is EXACTLY what I was looking for, something for me to nerd at with my own data.

        Thank you sir!

    Thanks OP. Bought one.

  • This looks like one of those you need to prod for the screen to activate.

That's more effort than i'm prepared to commit.

    • One of the reviews mentions screen remains lit when powered with the supplied USB cable.

      • Oh. I bought one of those that required activation and we've since parted ways inamicably.

Whatever it does it sure hasn't impressed that dog with the squashed head in the shot.

  • Was looking for cheap outdoor / indoor thermometer and hydrometer with wifi….the xiaomi units with display are around $18 each on aliexpress but only bluetooth (possibly less battery usage?) which require a wifi hub…would prefer rechargeable but not found anything suitable so far with a reasonable price….never had much luck with weather stations - outdoor units don't last and always disconnecting from base unit..

  • Still waiting on this one

    • A few of us got ours last week, you should receive it in the next few days.

    • Did you receive out of stock email offering item on back order? Found my 18/3 email in Spam folder.

  • "Alexa, what't the temperature"

And just like that, I just saved myself US$15.39

  • Received mine and have to say, it's pretty rubbish. Sitting the outdoor sensor next to the indoor unit, they both read different temperatures. What a huge waste of money.
